Lyx i lågkonjunktur : Ett marknadsperspektiv i svåra tider
This study will focus on the luxury market and how this market has been affected by the present recession. The economic downturn have had a major impact on today?s business and consumption, practically all industries have been affected. However there exist different opinions about how the luxury market have been influenced, certain experts mean that this Segment is recession proof while others believe that this market will experience the worst side-effects. For that reason we find it interesting to analyze the luxury market and develop our own opinion about the impact of the recession.
Clemens en August - A Network Perspective
The purpose of the paper is to explore of what importance network relations are to the small fashion company Clemens en August. Clemens en August is a new German fashion label, which has the goal to become established in the high-end Segment. The company uses an innovative sales strategy, directly distributing its products to the end costumer. Vi efterlyser representation : En jämförelse av den etniska representationen i programmet Efterlyst mellan 1998 och 2006
The purpose of this study is to compare the representation of criminals in the Swedish television show ?Efterlyst? regarding ethnical background between the year 1998 and the year 2006. The aim is to determine if and how the representation of ethnicity have changed over the examined years. We have then examined 13 shows from each year and categorized the criminals by ethnicity, type of crime and length of each Segment. We have come to a conclusion that the show has a noticeable overrepresentation of criminals with non-Swedish ethnical background.

Our thesis focus on how retirees perceive Tv4s news casts of economy news where we focused on five different aspects: What is the relationship between the news cast and the viewer and how does the viewer express their understanding of the news cast and the way it is constructed? What are the viewers attitude towards the news content and how do they find the news cast useful for them personally?We choosed retirees as our target group due to their vulnerable economic position in today?s society and TV as an important medium for them due to the digital divide. The study was performed with twelve qualitative interviews and one group interview where six retirees took part.We discovered a big interest for economic news in the target group. The majority had a sympathetic view of the news cast they saw but they also expressed skepticism toward the economy Segment and/or news castings. The majority expressed a lack of trust for the journalists and the experts brought in to share observations and make announcements, and the financial business overall.
Traditional market segmentation - an evaluating approach
The purpose of this research is to evaluate traditional market Segmentation variables, as criticism has been directed towards these variables. Based on our problem discussion we find it motivating to undertake investigation in order to understand which connotations an ethnographic approach will provide. Methodology:We have applied an ethnographic approach, which has enabled us to attain under the surface knowledge from our respondents. Theoretical perspective:As we wanted to evaluate existing traditional Segmentation variables, we decided to only include theory regarding these variables. Empirical data:In order to collect our data, we observed seven respondents at Ikea and conducted observations and in-depth interviews in their homes.

Nedskrivningsprövning av goodwill: En studie av regler som någon hittat på för en tillgång som inte riktigt finns
Since January 1 2005 all companies listed on a regulated stock exchange within the EU are required to present their consolidated accounts in conformity with IFRS. Among many other consequences goodwill will no longer be amortized over its useful life but instead annually tested for impairments in accordance with IFRS 3. The aim of this paper is to scrutinize the impairment test of goodwill as outlined in IAS 36 and analyze its implications. We conclude that the impairment test will probably lead to the recognition of internally generated goodwill in the consolidated accounts. We also conclude that the impairment test on highly aggregated levels will probably hasten the pace of this recognition since internally generated goodwill is used to shield acquired goodwill from impairments.
En undersökning av marknaden för djupfrysta färdigrätter
Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka marknaden för djupfrysta färdigrätter. Vi vill få fram en konsumentprofil, dvs. undersöka vilka egenskaper som utmärker en typisk färdigrättskonsument, samt vilka attribut de värdesätter. Vi vill genom vår undersökning utreda om det finns tydliga Segment, samt om konsumenterna har något behov som inte är tillfredsställt. Metod: För att få fram informationen till en konsumentprofil, bestämde vi oss för att genomföra en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ undersök-ning.

Uppsatsens syfte var att presentera och analysera exempel på hur två elever utövade inflytande överen kollaborativberättelse de skrev i ett klassrum modellerat efter Tragetons modell att skriva sig tillläsning. Vidare var syftet att synliggöra de lärdomar som kan dras från att i denna studie med ensamtalsanalytisk metod analysera interaktioner i samspelet runt skriv- och läsinlärningen i skolan.Materialet som presenteras i denna uppsats samlades in med två filmkameror och en diktafon somfokuserade på ett par elever som arbetade med att skriva en berättelse tillsammans. Segment av detinsamlade materialet presenterades sedan i form av transkriptioner som låg till grund för analysen.Resultaten synliggör ett antal olika interaktioner där deltagarna utövar inflytande över materialetoch i begränsad utsträckning hur texten växer fram i förhållande till dessa interaktioner. Background: Today, the environment of a company is characterized by quick changes like leaps of technology and market shifts. The problem is how this turbulent environment and an uncertain future affect how a company creates strategies and how its structure is adapted. Can a certain choice of strategies or a certain structure be a way of dealing with an changing environment? Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to explore if and how Banverket Telenät, as an example of a company in a turbulent business like the Swedish telecom industry, tries to deal with an uncertain future through strategy and structure. Procedure: We have carried through a qualitative case study with interviews and gathering of additional information concerning the business.

An increased demand for processed goods on the property market has contributed toinvestments within the Swedish sawmill industry. The purpose with this study is to make amarket investigation of pre cut lengths within a defined geographic area. The constituent forthis investigation is HAL (AB Hilmer Andersson) who invests in a new plane facility and twofinger jointing machines in affiliation to their sawmill in Lässerud, the vest part of Värmland.To investigate the demand of pre cut lengths and identifies the value creating factors and costfactors which the customer within the Segments industry and property market perceive, havedifferent customer value theories been used. Theories of customer value and the theory aboutoffering has been the source of creating the qualitative interview with a selection of currentand new potential customers for HAL.The result of the study first gives an introduction of HAL?s new offering and a description ofHAL?s current customers, which gives the reader an understanding of why searching for newcustomers is made in the defined area.
LAN-refresh och WAN-migrering
This work has been carried out at a company in the region which has about 30000 employeeswith about 400 sites all over the world. The company outsources their network including theLAN refresh and the WAN migration. They needed help with an upgrade of their LAN at theirScandinavian headquarters and to find a new solution for their WAN. The reason why the upgradeof the LAN was needed was that the equipment was too old and did not pass the securityrequirements. They also required a solution to Segment their LAN, which consisted of a singlelarge VLAN with 1,300 employees.

Functional Foods ? från nisch till massmarknad?
Vi kom fram till att de svenska konsumenterna är mycket intresserade av functional foods och har en positiv inställning till produktgruppen men att bakgrunden till deras intresse skiljer sig åt. De livstilsorienterade konsumentgrupperna är primärt intresserade av produkternas emotionella egenskaper som smak, evig ungdom, bättre image, smalare midja och är mindre intresserade av produkternas kemiska sammansättning. Det produktorienterade konsumentgrupperna är däremot mer intresserade av varför produkterna är nyttiga och ser inte functional foods som ett redskap för att förbättra sin personliga image utan man är angelägen om kroppens fysiologiska välbefinnande. Det finns således avgränsade Segment på den svenska marknaden som både är intresserade av functional foods men av olika anledningar. Sammantaget skapar detta en möjlighet för producenterna att differentiera sina positionerin mot olika kundgrupper.
