The free movement of the Roma minority has become questioned within the European Union. This study seeks to understand why this question has reached disproportionally importance in comparison to the number of Roma migrants within the union, and to understand the great attention given to the question. Based on the Copenhagen?s school of securitization, the purpose of this study is to show how this magnification of the question occurs due to the framing of the Roma migrants as a security problem. Focusing on the speech act of the securitization theory, this paper contains a study of political actor?s statements concerning Roma migrants.

For several years Uppsala University together with several companies has been involved in a WISENET project aimed at improving railway transport security. By placing a sensor system near the wheels of each wagon, the temperature of the bearings can be measured and transmitted to a collector placed centrally on the wagon. This in turn transmits the collected data to RFID receivers placed intermittently along the railway.As the signals are transmitted wirelessly, problems may occur as the antennas get dirty or coated with ice and snow. To determine the effects of these coatings, several tests were performed examining the reflection coefficient S11, the impedance Z11 and the efficiency eta of an antenna, and how they varied when various coatings were placed over the antenna. Examined coatings were ice, snow and water to determine the effects of weather, and various metal-based coatings: powdered iron both pure and partially oxidized, and iron ore granules.

Abstrakt: Beslut gällande patienters HLR-status fattas av läkare, men den process som föranleder beslutet bör involvera flera parter. I enlighet med autonomiprincipen ska patienter vara delaktiga i de beslut som berör deras egen vård. Syftet: med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka några frågor kring HLR/ej-HLR vid vård i livets slutskede. Metoden var en systematisk litteraturstudie, baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Litteratursökningen utfördes i databaserna PubMed och CINAHL, samt manuella sökningar.

Background: Trust has been a foundation of commerce since the very beginning. Trust can in the traditional commerce be built by face-to-face meetings, this is not possible at the Internet. Although, trust ought to be important even for the commercial business relation at the Internet and crucial for the consumer to use this communication channel. Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is, from a consumer point of view, to study and analyse the importance of trust using e-services. Demarcation: The thesis is focusing trust using e-services, from a consumer point of view.

With background in the acknowledgement of the current period of major change in the characteristics of traditional Swedish foreign policy, considering the membership in the European Union, as well as the new contextual scenarios that Sweden has been situated in after the end of the cold war, this thesis aims at scrutinizing the Swedish Foreign Policy from 1991 to 2010. The purpose of the thesis is further to localize continuity and change in the ideas which Sweden has explicitly stated in its foreign policy. Based on the theory of institutionalism, the thesis also aims to bring forward plausible explanations built on the main empirical findings. This has been done by identifying different types of goals and means within realism and liberalism as well as categorizing each theory within three ideal types.The chosen research method has been a qualitative text analysis with focus on an ideational analysis. The material on which the descriptive analysis is based upon is constituted by the annual statements of government policy in parliamentary debates on foreign affairs.The results of the thesis show that the ideas that are related to solidarity, consensus and active foreign policy are constant through the period of examination.

Skolan har en skyldighet att samverka med hemmen. För en del barn kan mötet med skolan vara en orsak tillpsykisk ohälsa och när det gäller elever med funktionsnedsättningar är det extra viktigt att de får känna att delyckas. För specialpedagogen är samverkan med olika parter, t.ex. föräldrar, en viktig del i det förebyggandearbetet med att undanröja hinder.Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur föräldrar till barn med autismspektrumtillstånd eller ADHD talarom samverkan mellan hem och skola i sina bloggar.Studien har utgått från en kvalitativ ansats där bloggar skrivna av föräldrar till barn med autismspektrumtillståndeller ADHD studerats och analyserats med stöd av diskursanalytiskt inspirerade frågeställningar.Resultatet visar två diskurser; lagspelsdiskursen och kampdiskursen. Inom dessa diskurser finns olikasubjektspositioner för både föräldrar och skolpersonal.

Syftet är i denna studie att undersöka hur några förskolechefer beskriver det specialpedagogiska stödet på sina förskolor, hur det formas och hur samarbetet fungerar med de specialpedagoger som finns som stöd. Arbetet handlar även om förskolechefernas redogörelser kring det stöd de får från respektive huvudman när det gäller det specialpedagogiska området. Insamlingen av data har skett genom en kvalitativ metodansats, genom halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sex stycken förskolechefer.Resultatet är uppdelat i fyra teman och visar att förskolecheferna har tillgång till specialpedagogiskt stöd och beskriver samarbetet som väl fungerande. Dock uttrycker några av förskolecheferna en önskan om att ha en specialpedagog på enheten. De anser vidare att några av specialpedagogens huvuduppgifter är att handleda pedagogerna samt att utföra observationer.

Ett dilemma med att tillämpa Supply Chain Management i realiteten är att sam- arbeten mellan vitt skilda företag inte av naturen uppstår utan problem. På grund av detta finns behov av någon form av verktyg som överbrygger denna problematik. Ett relativt nytt koncept är Balanced Scorecard, vilket syftar till att tillföra styrningen av enskilda företag andra dimensioner än endast den traditionella finansiella dimensionen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att åstadkomma ett förslag på balanced scorecard för förädlingskedjerelationen grossist-leverantör. Detta genom att undersöka förädlingskedjearbetet inom grossistleden hos företag i daglivarubranschen.

AbstractBackground: Becoming a parent to a child in need of Neonatal Intensive Care can be a traumatic experience. During a time when the parents may need support, guidance and a sense of control ? the family might need to relocate to a hospital away from home if the child needs highly specialized medical care at a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the parents? experience of having to change neonatal care unit.

Efforts to achieve a moisture proof construction process have proved to be considerably complicated, despite the knowledge and awareness that now exists within the moisture field. Materials, documents, templates and checklists are designed to be accessed but are not used anyway. This may be because such effort has not been prioritized and properly requirements have not existed from the commissioner of a building.This report illustrates how the commissioner of a building project can achieve a moisture proof building process by increasing knowledge, moisture proof planning, and implementation of security moisture routines. Proposals are given on how the commissioner of a building project can work to consistently bring a moisture proof building process in all stages. The difficulty with regular moisture proof efforts, the authors believe is mainly due to the following points:      Many different design solutions.      Lack of experience feedback.      Lack of communication.      Financial incentives.      Attitudes.The interviews in the report have conducted with the help of a qualitative analysis, while the survey has been done using a quantitative analytical method.

During the 90?s, several reforms took place in order to change the educational system. The reforms intended to increase the freedom of choice and to facilitate the start-up process for driving independent schools. A broad alliance of political parties from left to right supported these reforms. Twenty years later, the independent schools constitute a substantial part of schools in Sweden.

I samhället finns oro över den digitala utvecklingens framfart där fokus läggs alltmer på att skapa innovation, vilket är en tillgång ur konkurrenssynpunkt men där individers behov och förutsättningar bortses från. Den snabba utvecklingen kan medföra att individer med låg förståelse och acceptans av informations- och kommunikationsteknik riskerar att hamna utanför samhället. Seniorer är den åldersgrupp vilken har benägenhet att besitta en lägre förståelse och acceptans för den digitala utvecklingen. Detta är ett aktuellt dilemma eftersom ett fungerande samhälle förutsätter att alla individer ska kunna använda sig av de samhälls- och kommersiella tjänster som finns att tillgå. Till följd därav är det oumbärligt att utveckla användbar informations- och kommunikationsteknik vilken möter slutanvändares behov och förutsättningar.

ABSTRACTThis thesis focuses on the OPEC oil crisis of 1973 and its impact on the Scandinavian countries of Sweden and Denmark. Starting from Walter Carlsnaes theory of energy vulnerability, the concepts of vulnerability and national security are tested on the selected cases and an array of policy alternatives are assessed. Posited available options like oil stockpiling, conservation, renewable energy and international coordination are evaluated as means for ameliorating the vulnerability of the nations. The theory chosen is further expounded with a consensus element to reinforce its explanatory power. The thesis utilizes a wide range of material from parliamentary records to daily newspapers in an attempt to shed some light on the interplay between economics and politics.Sweden and Denmark evince diverging developments despite their common starting point with exceptionally high oil dependencies and can be located on different ends of the energy policy gamut.
