Our work is based on a mathematics test which the students accomplished, interviews with student and teachers who are working on this program and the current literatures. The purposes of this work are to search the importance and the effect of the languages understanding in students learning of mathematic in the Individual high school curriculum. In total, sex students and three teachers took part in our study. Tow of the students is mother tongue language student and the remains are second language student. Our study should answer tow important questions:? Do the student in the Individual high school curriculum have the fundamental knowledge in mathematic?? How does the understanding of Swedish language effect in the understanding of the mathematic problems and in the students results in mathematic test?In order to answer those questions, the students have to complete a mathematic test that consists of four parts.

During Sweden's economic crisis in the early 1990s a governmental committe of prominent economic and political experts were gathered to produce an analysis of and suggestions to the solution of that crisis. The committe produced a report that became widely commented in the media and in parliment. The report anc the reception of it gives us insights in how the boundaries between social science and politics are created an how new fields of expertise is added to a science. This thesis uses a constructivist approach to explore how the techniques of the economic science were made into credible means of knowöedge production outside of the field where it traditionally holds epistemological authority. Working from the assumption that language does things to the objects that it describes I claim that the episode investigated in this thesis was shaped by the committee's ability to define the economic crissi and thus making it into a knowable object.

The purpose of this paper is to study how the TV program Border Security: Australia?s FrontLine (Gränsbevakarna Australien) can be seen to reproduce networks of human and non-human actors. The aim is thus to investigate how boundaries between nations are upheld and how people, as a consequence, are discoursively categorized and what preconditions this create for people?sidentity- and meaning-making practices.The theoretical and methodical framework is built upon Bruno Latour?s work on Actor-Network-Theory, and discourse analysis inspired by Michel Foucault. The empirical material consists of two episodes of the TV program.

Denna studie ämnar nå kunskap om bakomliggande orsaker till elevers val av studie- respektive yrkesförberedande program på gymnasiet. Studien baseras på intervjuer med åtta elever från både studie- och yrkesförberedande program. De teoretiska utgångspunkter som analysen bygger på är Bourdieus begrepp habitus samt Hodkinson & Sparks teori om karriärval. Studien visar att det framförallt är elevens intresse som styrt gymnasievalet. Vidare kan det urskiljas att familjen haft en viss implicit påverkan på eleven, när denne gör sitt gymnasieval.

Denna uppsats är en kritisk diskursanalys av Sverigedemokraterna, ett uttalatnationalistiskt och invandringskritiskt parti. Syftet med vår studie är att granskaSverigedemokraternas nationalistiska budskap utifrån ett feministiskt perspektiv.Fokus ligger på ett samspel mellan genus, sexualitet och nation. Studiens materialbestår av politiska program och artiklar från partitidningen Sd-kuriren. Understeget in på den politiska arenan, har Sverigedemokraterna kommit att använda enallt mer ?rumsren? retorik.

Syftet med studien är att försöka förstå hur vi kan lära ut, och vad som påverkar lärandet av praktiska handgrepp vid automationsutbildningen på gymnasieskolans el-program. Följande fråga ställs, vilka uppfattningar om lärande har en grupp lärare på gymnasieskolans el-program? Inlärningsteorier har förekommit i alla tider och resultaten vid våra gymnasieskolor sägs bli sämre och sämre. Varför då? Beror det på undervisningen, eller kan det vara så att eleverna har tappat stinget? Min förhoppning var att hitta en lämplig inlärningsmetod att använda vid praktisk utbildning vid elprogrammet. Studien är kvalitativ i sin utformning med en fokusgruppsundersökning i ett lärarlag som bas och en litteraturstudie som komplement och bekräftelse till undersökningen. Slutligen diskuteras resultatet som pekar på anpassning av undervisning till gruppen snarare än att använda sig av en speciell metod..

A geographical position and its social, cultural and political context as well as climate and specific physical characteristics define the scope for a landscape design project. This has become clearer for us in our master project where we have made a Design Program for the outdoor environment of Wollo University in Dessie, Ethiopia and analysed and reflected on the work and process. The aim for the project has been to design an attractive and functional outdoor environment for the Campus, based on the inventories and the needs and wishes of clients and users. But, the aim has also been for us as landscape architect students to gain a greater knowledge about landscape architecture and the design process by position ourselves outside our usual context. The method has been open and seeking where the site, literature studies, dialogues with people and our own experiences from the field study in Ethiopia has influenced the work. Wollo University is situated 400 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, in a mountainous landscape. It faces problems of heavy rainfall during the summer, soil erosion, a lack of essential facilities, and is still a construction site with empty spaces in-between buildings and infrastructure.

Denna rapport behandlar en fältstudie genomförd på en kommunal teknisk förvaltning samt en analys av studiematerialet. En tekniklösning på konceptuell nivå arbetas fram. Metoder och synsätt för fältstudien beskrivs samt relationer till forskningsområden som CSCW och CSCL. Problembilden som kommer fram rör en åldrande personalkår där kunskap och erfarenhet önskas ta till vara. Kompetensutveckling och informationsspridning ligger högt på önskelistan hos personalen.

Vi har i denna studie undersökt hur tjejer på yrkes- respektive studieförberedande program på två olika orter ser på sin framtid. Våra forskningsfrågor löd: Vilken syn på framtiden har gymnasietjejer på studieförberedande respektive yrkesförberedande program i Stockholms innerstad och Avesta? Vilka skillnader går att skönja i den syn på framtiden som tjejer på studie- respektive yrkesförberedande gymnasieprogram har, i Stockholms innerstad respektive Avesta? Samt hur kan man förstå dessa eventuella skillnader? Svaret på forskningsfrågorna sökte vi genom att knyta an de svar ett antal intervjuade tjejer gav, till tidigare forskning och teoretiska perspektiv med relevans för ämnet. Här har främst Pierre Bourdieus studier om det kulturella kapitalet samt Donald Broadys och Ida Lidegrans studier om utbildningskapital utgjort det material vi tagit avstamp i för analysen. Vi kom fram till att  det främst finns skillnader mellan programmen och att det går att förstå de här tjejernas olika syn på framtiden genom att titta på deras bakgrund.

This Master's thesis aims to investigate librarians' identity construction through the study of their narratives about themselves and their lives. We want to understand in what way the education in Library- and Information science contributes to shape the students professional identity and how these identities then continue to be transformed when they enter their professional lives. We assert that this construction of identity takes place through socialisation. We start with the reference work because we think this is a central part of librarians' tasks. Our theoretical starting point is constructionism, we mean that professional identity is a social construction that continuously is formed and transformed.We interviewed six former students at Library- and Information science at Lund University.

This paper has bearing on the subject of foreign policy analysis and decision-making,but is nonetheless important to peace and conflict studies due to its emphasis onnuclear weapons and deterrence.I have constructed a theoretical framework for the analysis of foreign policydecision-making that I set out to test on a crucial case. The framework iscrosscutting, and takes into consideration four levels of analysis: the system-,regional-, state-, and individual level. It is centred on a key decision maker, andapplies a cognitive approach for determining his or hers belief system through whichthe inputs from the other levels are filtered in order for the decision maker toconstruct a perception of reality, from which the decision is then formulated within.The framework is applied to North Korean and its leader Kim Jong Il. It sets outto explain his behaviour in the matter of their claimed nuclear weapons program, andhis decision to conduct a nuclear weapons-test, getting inside his head trying to figureout why he chose to do it and for what reasons.The conclusion indicates that the basic structure of the framework and its generalapplicability is sound, but that it needs further testing in order to make it perfectly solid..
