This is an essay about the political development of Iraq after the overthrow of the Baath regime by the coalition forces in 2003. Almost seven years later, the political Scene is still characterised by chaos, even though the country entered a new phase with the adoption of democratic thinking and a new openness to the world. The unstable political situation is a product of inter-ethnic conflict and the interference by neighbouring countries. Iraq is up against two formidable tasks ? building democracy and building a nation.

In December 22, 2010, the hockey clubs AIK and Djurgården played against each other in front of an audience of more than 11 000 people in Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm. Although it was one of the biggest games of the year, afterwards no one was talking about the actual game on the ice. The reason; several times during the game, hooligans from both sides started big quarrels and the hockey dome felt more like a war Scene than a place for a hockey game. From a branding point of view, and along with similar incidents from the past, the night in December did not create a good situation for AIK and their image.  Therefore, in this essay I want to investigate how AIK communicated through the crisis. I also want to evaluate whether their communication was good or bad from the perspective of different crisis communication theories.The essay?s research questions are:How did media describe the crisis and AIK´s part in it?What effect did AIK´s previous history of similar problem have on the ongoing crisis?How did AIK communicate through the crisis?How was AIK´s image affected by the crisis?What did AIK do well/what could AIK have done better?To be able to answer these questions, several news articles from the sports paper ?Hockeyexpressen? has been analyzed as well as a text from AIK itself.

The essay depicts the opposite views of the director and an actor during the filming of a specific Scene in a feature film. The actor feels that he is not being listened to. This leads to unforeseen consequences for the director, as the actor no longer wishes to take part in the marketing of the film prior to its opening night. Everything is seen from the director?s point of view, she is working in a film world dominated by men.Questions are being asked if the director?s instructions are clear enough or if the actor, fearing getting lost, is mixing up his own feelings with those of the character he is portraying? What happens to the collaboration and how does it affect the rest of the team and the completion of the production? The director is also the producer.

This essay is about two Swedish folk musicians, Anders Rosén and Leif Stinnerbom, who have been playing two important rolls in the developing process of Swedish folk music, on their separate ways. The main part of this work is focused on the era called ?The Folk Music Vogue?, which was the era when my informants were in the limelight on the Swedish fiddler Scene of the 70s.Our music culture is constantly lying under the change of progress and I find it interesting to reflect how these kinds of changes are affecting the role of the musician.In this essay I am reflecting on the different perspectives of the musicianship according to my informants and how they both are referring to their role as musicians. The purpose is further on to see how they have been relating to the change of progress on the field of the Swedish folk music during the 70s and up to this date. Throughout interviews with the informants I am analyzing their personal relationship to their life as folk musicians.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilken funktion och betydelse kroppen har i första säsongen av CSI: Crime Scenen Investigation (CBS, 2000-). Detta eftersom det kan ge en ökad förståelse för de föreställningar som omgärdar kroppen i vår kultur idag. Författaren gör närläsningar av analysobjektet som relateras till relevant litteratur, såväl som tidigare praktiker och representationer av kroppslighet.I den första delen undersöker författaren vilken roll kroppen spelar i utredningsarbetets sökande efter en säker sanning. Författaren konstaterar att utredarna använder sig av en kroppslig utredningsteknik och att kroppen dessutom ses som en privilegierad form av bevis, vars tillgänglighet ökar med hjälp av obduktionsförfarandet och olika teknologiska hjälpmedel. Vidare ifrågasätter författaren hur långsökta slutsatser om individen dras från kroppen.

Populism has been an integral part of the Finnish political system since the late 1950's. At that time the Agrarian Populist Party, better known as The Rural Party, emerged and thrived for decades until the party financially broke down in the 1990's. Reemerging on the political Scene as the True Finns, the party is more radical and more influential than ever, gaining enough support to be the third largest party of the 2011 parliamentary election. Sweden, Finland?s neighbor, in contrast has a history with very little populist presence or radical right populist parties (RRP-parties).

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka mansbildens förändring i reklamen under 1990-talet och början av 2000-talet. Därför vill vi undersöka om män exponeras på olika sätt i herrtidningen Magazine Café under perioden. Vi vill också se om vi kunde finna några tendenser i samhällsutvecklingen, som har påverkat mansbilden och om samhällsutvecklingen syns i reklamens framställning av männen. Vi kommer också att undersöka det senaste mansidealet, som kallas metrosexualitet och se om det avspeglas i det material vi valt att analysera. Några av de frågor som vi besvarar lyder:* Hur influerar medierna trender och livsstilar?* Hur exponeras män i bildreklam?* Finns det några samhällstendenser som man kan knyta till en eventuell förändring av exponeringen av män?Analysen har utförts genom en kvalitativ bildanalys.

År 1967 sändes tv-serien Kullamannen för första gången och spänningsserien om fyra ungdomarsminst sagt innehållsrika sommarlov i trakterna kring den mystiska Kullen i Skåne, blev en storsuccé hos den svenska tv-publiken. Serien kom att repriseras ett flertal gånger genom åren ochäven idag, drygt 40 år efter premiären, är den populär bland både barn och vuxna.I denna uppsats har jag undersökt vad det egentligen var/är som gjorde/gör serien så populäroch framför allt; så spännande! För att ta reda på detta har jag analyserat serien utifrån de femperspektiven; mise en scéne, cinematografi, klippning, ljud och narration. Jag har undersökt hurseriens skapare, Leif Krantz, har arbetat med att skapa spänning inom dessa områden och isamband med detta även ställt Kullamannen mot andra spänningsserier av Krantz (så somKråkguldet, Pojken med guldbyxorna, Ärliga blå ögon, Sinkadus, Bessingemordet samt Snoken.)Efter min jämförelse av dessa har jag dragit slutsatsen att det som är gemensamt för Krantzserier är just spänningen. En spänning som är väldigt påtagande och som skapas genom smådetaljer och genomtänkta sekvenser, och inte genom ett blodigt slagsmål eller en vapengalenterrorist.Jag har också kommit fram till att Krantz insats inom den svenska spänningsgenren kanskerent av kan göra honom till en ?bortglömd? auteur inom den samma.

This thesis examines how to improve the exhibition of products within retail for clothes and gift articles. The purpose is to investigate and test how light sources and different directions of light affect how the products are perceived regarding their exhibition. Our question formulations are:To what degree does the level of light in combination with the background of the interior design of a shop affect whether a product is perceived more or less attractive?What can we recommend to make the exhibition of products more attractive? From our observations shops nowadays have relatively high levels of light when they expose products on vertical areas. We have looked on the recommendation from ?Energimyndigheten? in order to see what they think is important when designing retail lightening.

Vi utforskar begreppet upplevelseekonomi och hur vi har hamnat i vad en del forskare anser vara Upplevelsesamhället. Ett samhälle där de basala behoven är uppfyllda och där vi söker minnesvärda och självförverkligande upplevelser.Vi har valt att studera tidigare forskning och presenterar delar av det vi har läst i ett inledande teoriavsnitt. Därefter observerar vi ett par upplevelserelaterade hotell för att se hur teorin kan se ut i verkliga pågående projekt. De hotell vi valt att titta närmare på är Icehotel i Jukkasjärvi samt Såstaholm i Täby. Vårt sätt att arbeta blir deduktivt, där vi utgår från befintliga begrepp och teorier för att kunna dra logiska slutsatser.Befintlig teori i upplevelseekonomi samt iakttagelser av två existerande hotell för upplevelser gav oss grunden till hur vi utformade vårt hotell i Östhammar med upplevelsetema ? Hotell Badjäflar.

This master thesis is about a place that has a story to tell. Olsson?s garden came about when Mr Carl Oscar Olsson acquired a piece of land in Landalabergen in the beginning of the 1930's and at that time he started his industrious work of uniting much of Sweden's flora in his garden. Since the very beginning Olsson's garden has played a lot of different rolls in a variety of situations and meant different things for different people. Today one can find traces from Mr Olsson's life and deeds in the garden.
