SammanfattningDynaMate AB, som är ägare av DynaMate Industrial Services, är ett fristående helägt dotterbolagtill Scania CV AB. Bolaget startade sin verksamhet 1993 och då inledningsvis som enunderhållsavdelning inom och åt Scania. Under första halvåret av 2001 ombolagiserades dockDynaMate AB för att kunna erbjuda produktionsstöd även till andra kunder. Under 2009 bildades såDynaMate Industrial Services AB (DIS), där detta företag idag erbjuder specialkompetens inomautomation, el och mekanik. Med stöd av företagets kompetenser och erfarenhet av produktionsstödlöser de kundens problem från idé till färdig maskin.I Scanias regi har DynaMates uppdrag oftast vilat på enskilda konstruktörer, som då agerat bådeprojektledare, genomförare och slutförare.

Rapporten beskriver arbetsprocessen vid skapandet av animationer som visualiserar flödet i ett avancerat bränslesystem. Arbetet är utfört på uppdrag av Scania Academy. Den frågeställning som arbetet utgått ifrån är:Hur skapar man en visualisering av ett flöde i ett avancerat bränslesystem som är informativt och anpassat för målgruppen?Bakgrunden till arbetet är att Scania tagit fram ett nytt bränslesystem som de är i behov av att hålla utbildning kring. Som stöd till utbildningen vill man med hjälp av animation förklara bränslets flöde.

Introduction: Suicide is a major public health problem both internationally and in Sweden. Itis known in research that sex and gender have a bearing on the incidence of suicide andattempted suicide. Gender Bias in medical research could lead to medical errors and to thatthe problem is made invisible. That is why it is important to identify and eliminate them. AimThe purpose of this paper was to examine whether there is gender bias in scientific articlesdealing with suicide prevention interventions and how this is expressed.

Research regarding the maintenance of the Sami language shows that the Swedish society has a big influence on the development of the Sami identity and also the maintenance of the Sami language. The assimilation of the Sami language and the traditional Sami religion was forced mainly by the Swedish education form and the Swedish church. In modern times many different forms of Sami identities have been developed due to the scattering of the Sami people, and also because of the urbanization of the Swedish society. The Sami nature religion is still alive in the Sami group, thanks to the mythological stories told and preserved by their oral  tradition. The purpose of this assignment was to make research of how the Sami identity is being presented in three current Swedish books.

Då många företag vill skaffa sig marknadsandelar genom att leverera rätt produkt, vid rätt tid och för rätt kostnad har de börjat arbeta med Simuleringsdriven Konstruktion. Simuleringsdriven Konstruktion hjälper dem att genom ett iterativt arbetssätt hitta optimal konstruktion tidigt i NPD-processen och därigenom reducera tid och kostnad för produktutvecklingen.Många företag som sysslar med forskning och utveckling kräver idag mer av provutrustning än tidigare för att kunna kontrollera och möta ökande krav på produkter.  Mer sofistikerad provutrustning behöver utvecklas för att möta ökade krav på produktprov. Krav så som säkerhet, kapacitet, tidseffektivitet, noggrannhet etc. Att även tid och kostnad för utveckling av provutrustning reduceras är viktigt.Detta examensarbete har syftat till att ta fram riktlinjer för effektivisering av arbetet med Simuleringsdriven Konstruktion i utvecklingsprocesser.

Leanproduction börjar i allt större utsträckning appliceras inom olika verksamheter. Filosofins fokus på kundvärde samt dess skapade av effektiva och felförebyggande processer lockar mängder av aktörer inom olika sektorer av marknaden. Då kundvärde bör vara fokus för samtliga verksamheter och effektiva, kvalitetssäkra processer är något att eftersträva bör filosofin lämpa sig inom fler områden än just produktion. Tjänsteverksamhet är ett marknadssegment där kundvärde är särskilt viktigt. Då målet med tjänsteverksamhet vanligen är att skapa en bra service och på så sätt addera kundvärde bör leankonceptet framgångsrikt kunna appliceras inom verksamheten.

The anatomy and physiology of reptiles and mammals are in many ways different, and will therefore possibly complicate anesthetic administration. Lizards are ectothermic and one should keep in mind that a decrease in the lizard?s environmental temperature may result in reductions in anesthetic metabolism. Respiratory depression is a profound problem because lizards lack a diaphragm, making inhalation and expiration completely active processes. This, in combination with cardiac shunting and breath holding makes the effects of anesthesia unpredictable.

BillerudKorsnäs is a leading global provider of primary fiber-based packaging materials and on Gruvöns Bruk in Grums, they have chosen to invest millions in the boiler at the facility to increase the total capacity of the factory. This results in the Pulp Flash Dryer at Gruvön being burden more, which makes it important that it is of great reliability and can be run with a high capacity. The reliability of the Pulp Flash Dryer at Gruvön is not as good as one could hope, which leads to reduced availability and production, as well as to increased maintenance costs. There are a number of different reasons for this, but all the casual links are not known.The purpose of this project was to perform a system analysis of the Pulp Flash Dryer to identify bottlenecks and the most critical parts from a capacity- and availability perspective. Appropriate methodology for the system analysis was used and would be used in a structured way to perform the analysis with data from the process and the maintenance system.

The product structure of the fuel tank installation is one of the most complex product areas at Scania. Caused by the number of parameters, which affect the fuel tank installation, a product structure is created which is very difficult to handle. Knowledge exist that the structure in a nearby future will be considerable more complex. The purpose of the study has been to understand in why this complexity exist and find ways to break the trend of a growing product structure. The goal was to achieve a more standardized fuel tank installation.A theoretical study was performed in order to bring knowledge in relevant areas both in general theory but also in documentation at Scania.

The aim of this study is to show how some persons with one of the Swedish national minority languages as mother tongue use a library with regard to their mother tongue and culture. The research questions are: How do Sami-speaking, Finnish-speaking and Meänkieli-speaking (Tornedalen Finnish-speaking) persons use a library with regard to their mother tongue and their culture? What aspects do they find important in this use? As a theoretical frame I have used Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the functions of the local library and Will Kymlicka?s theory of the value of maintenance of minority cultures. The study is a qualitative user study. Deep interviews have been conducted with 9 persons with Finnish, Meänkieli or Sami as mother tongue.The results show that the main use of the library is as a cultural centre and the most frequently used service is borrowing of literature.

Vid utgången av 2011 hade Scania det året levererat omkring 72 000 lastbilar, 8 000 bussar och 7 000 marin- och industrimotorer. Denna jätte inom branschen för tillverkning av tunga fordon är välkänd för sin företagsfilosofi där de tre kärnvärdena kunden först, respekt för individen och kvalitet utgör grunden. Utifrån dessa utvecklas hela företagets verksamhet. Virtuella metoder för monteringsverifiering har använts vid Scanias chassimontering och hyttmontering sedan ett antal år under benämningen digital provmontering (DTA). Idén har varit att säkra monterbarheten i tidiga faser i produktutvecklingsprocessen, innan fysiska prototypartiklar beställs.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka om virtuella metoder skulle kunna införas även vid motormonteringen.

The exhaust arrangement on a Scania V8 consists of one manifold at each bank connected to a twin entry turbine (8-2-2). A study in GT-Power has shown improved performance and reduced cylinder to cylinder variations using two manifolds at each bank in combination with a single entry turbine (8-4-1). This thesis work analyses the difference in performance shown in simulation and verify it by engine test.The initial work was focused on simulation in GT-Power. Investigating how exhaust manifold volume and pulses effects the turbine efficiency and the mean effective pressure during the gas exchange. To verify GT-Power simulations four engine tests with different exhaust arrangement have been made.The results from GT-Power simulation indicate that a larger exhaust volume improve the turbine efficiency.

For nearly twenty years people have been talking about Product models, but given that the building industry is so conservative, it is hard to implement new working methods. Product models are these days known as Building Information Modeling, BIM. People often say they work with BIM but they often forget the most important part, the information. A 3D model should be linked with characteristics and information. Information that can be invaluable for the facility manager.We have a vision that in the best of worlds the facility manager would be able to "walk" into the model and see what kind of installations are inside the wall or in the roof.

The landscape with its associated historical tracks and remains are an important part of our cultural heritage that we consider important to conserve. The stone walls are an example of historical remains that helps to build up this cultural heritage. It is a landscape element that today usually is being associated with the old cultivated landscape, where they mainly functioned as boundary markings and fences. Today, the stone wall is a valuable element in the landscape with ecological, culture-historical and aesthetic values. Since the stone walls arose as elements in the landscape a lot has been changed within the agriculture.

In theory, the management control of maintenance functions is described as problematic due to the nature of the work performed in the unit. The purpose of this thesis is to examine these predicted problems in practice. Further,the thesis aims at identifying how these control problems may affect the relationships between the maintenance department and its internal customers. A case study has been conducted in one of Sweden?s largest industrial companies to investigate the said control problems in practice.
