Kuratorsarbete i livets slutskede : En kvalitativ studie om kuratorers känslomässiga upplevelser och copingstrategier i mötet med cancerpatienter

Denna uppsats handlar om kuratorers känslomässiga upplevelser i mötet med cancerpatienter i livets slutskede. Fyra kuratorer på Karolinska universitetssjukhuset i Solna och två från Södersjukhuset intervjuades utifrån en semistrukturerad intervjuguide. Uppsatsen har en kvalitativ induktiv ansats. Frågeställningar handlar om vilka känslor som uppkommer i möten med döende cancerpatienter och hur kuratorer hanterar dessa känslor. Intervjuguiden berör två områden; svårigheter och möjligheter och hanterbarhet av känslor.

This essay is about reading among patients in hospital. The aim of the essay is to find out what part reading and the library play for patients in hospital. An additional aim is to find out in what ways the collaboration between hospital librarians and hospital staff could be developed. The starting-point of the problem is one main question: What part does reading play for the patient during the stay at the hospital? On the basis of the answers to this question I have also looked for possibilities of enhanced co-operation between hospital libraries and hospital staff.The method for the essay is qualitative and fifteen persons in three different wards at University Hospital in Malm have been interviewed.

Sjukvården ligger långt efter samhället i övrigt när det kommer till att bedriva IT- investeringar. Men även inom sjukvården är det en ojämn spridning av hur resurserna fördelas. Rehabilitering är ett av de områden där det inte har genomförts några stora projekt. Vi har valt att inrikta oss mot rehabilitering inom neurosjukvården, då dessa patienter är i stort behov av stöd. Projektet är ett initiativ av Åsa Lundgren - Nilsson vid Sahlgrenska Akademien och Elof Dimenäs vid Fakulteten för Tillämpad IT, Göteborgs Universitet.Vi har tagit fram ett designförslag för en applikation avsedd att underlätta rehabiliteringsprocessen för dessa patienter.

Utvärdering av effektiviseringsarbete vid ortopediavdelning 230, Mölndals sjukhus

Bakgrund Sveriges ökande befolkning i kombination med minskande resurser till sjukvården leder till allt fler överbeläggningar. Detta inverkar negativt på arbetsmiljö och patientsäkerhet vid vårdinrättningarna. Samtidigt är effektivitets- och kvalitetsarbete lagstadgat för Sveriges vårdinrättningar sedan 2005.Problemdiskussion På Sahlgrenska sjukhuset jobbar man med förbättringsarbete enligt den egenutvecklade FOKUS-modellen. För att kunna veta om imple-menterade förbättringsåtgärder har gett önskat resultat behöver man genomföra utvärderingar och ta fram nyckeltal som mäter effekterna av åtgärderna. Dessa nyckeltal ska samtidigt kunna relateras till Sahl-grenskas balanserade styrkort.

Hur identifieras och behandlas patienter med sepsis prehospitalt

Bakgrund: Sepsis, svår sepsis och septisk chock är ett accelererande tillstånd där tid till antibiotika och vätskebehandling har stor betydelse för denna utsatta patientgrupp. Trots att nästan hälften av sepsispatienterna anländer till sjukhus med ambulans, så gör diffusa symtom att enbart en liten del identifierats eller mottagit någon form av behandling. Syfte: Att belysa svaga länkar i den tidiga vårdkedjan för patienter som i efterhand diagnostiserats med positiv blododling/sepsis. Metod: Kvantitativ registerstudie. Samtliga patienter (n=696) i Sahlgrenska Universitets sjukhus upptagningsområde som testades med positiv blododling (Sepsis) under perioden: 1 februari till 30 april 2012 analyserades.
