Computer and videogames has increased rapidly over the past few decades and today a majority of the Swedish population enjoys them on a daily basis. When there are many users, it becomes important how the media chooses to portray the medium because it can affect how the society judges and looks at computer- and videogames.The purpose of this essay is to look at how the portrayal of computer- and videogames has changed in Swedish Newspapers during the period 1994-2014. How the player is being portrayed is also relevant. The method was the discourse analysis founded by Laclau andMouffe and the material was chosen from the two biggest newspapers in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet. Theories that were used in the analysis were mainly framing, cultural studies, moral panics and theories based on gender.The result shows that there has been different kinds of portrayals of computer- and videogames from the beginning, though it was mostly negative in 1994 and 2004.

I den här undersökningen har vi konstruerat en investeringsmodell, baserad enbart på finansiella nyckeltal. Modellen riktar sig mot privata aktiesparare då vi märkt att investeringsmodeller och andra existerande analysverktyg för aktiehandel är komplicerade och i regel avsedda för professionella aktörer.I modellen ingår fem nyckeltal som vi har valt utifrån tidigare forskning samt egna preferenser. Nyckeltalen har beräknats för 24 börsnoterade företag på Stockholmsbörsen 1991-12-31 - 1995-12-31. Syftet med investeringsmodellen är att bilda en aktieportfölj som vi prognostiserat ska ha genererat högre avkastning än jämförbara marknadsindex under perioden 1995-12-31 - 2009-12-31. Aktieportföljen inkluderat/exkluderar företag beroende av ifall de uppfyller investeringsmodellens nyckeltalsgränser.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att vår aktieportfölj var överlägsen markandsindex.

Svenska dagstidningar använder allt mer journalistiskt material producerat av nyhetsbyråer. I en majoritet av alla svenska medier upptas också en stor del av utrymmet av material som levererats från nyhetsbyråer. Användningen av centralt producerat material har kritiserats för att både likrikta medieinnehållet och för att minska mångfalden på dagspressmarknaden.   Det finns emellertid stora luckor i forskningen kring sportjournalistik och få forskare har tagit reda på hur stor andel av tidningars artiklar, notiser och krönikor på sportsidorna som faktiskt är skrivna av Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå eller någon annan nyhetsbyrå.   Denna undersökning visar nu att det finns en likriktning på sportsidorna i åtminstone Sundsvalls Tidning och Dagbladet, med avseende på användningen av centralt producerat material. Under två vanliga veckor år 2009 är 47 procent av den förstnämnda tidningens artiklar, notiser etc. skrivna av en eller flera nyhetsbyråer.

Publication of science fiction has a tradition in Sweden. Adult-fantasy does not. In recentyears, the 1980's, Swedish publishers have realised how profitable fantasy is. Of the totalpublication of the two genres between 1989 and 1994, 54% was science fiction and 46%was fantasy. The reason for this even balance is that fantasy-books get reprinted more frequentlythan science fiction-books.

Arbetet ämnar förklara varför relationerna mellan bosniaker och kroater har sett utsom de har. Arbetet försöker med hjälp av instrumentalism, primordialism ochkonstruktivism förklara hur identiteten samt relationerna mellan kroater och bosniakerhar varierat under tidsperioden 1939-1994. Arbetet syftar även till att undersöka vilkenteori som bäst hjälper oss förstå varför identiteten och relationerna mellan kroater ochbosniaker har varierat. Arbetet analyserar relationerna mellan kroater och bosniakermed hjälp av idealtyper och kommer fram till att samtliga teorier behövs om man villförstå kroaters och bosniakers relationer åren 1939-1994. Arbetet kommer även framtill att instrumentalismens idealtyp kommer närmast händelseförloppet..

The objective of this undergraduate thesis is to study the Swedish Social Democatic Party?s standpoint of the law allowing asylum seekers to choose where to live (ebo) between 1994-2009. The study?s empirical material is being based on official documents from the Swedish Parliament, which is being analyzed by a method called ?process-tracing?. A research question has been formulated to supplement the objective:What arguments has the Swedish Social Democratic Party expressed pro and con the law of ?ebo?? The study?s theoretical framwork is based on two theories which explain incentives behind parties? decision-making, strategic or ideological, on three arenas. As the law was ratified the party took a positive standpoint, but later shifted to become stricly against it.

The purpose of the study was to analyze how media, in this case, the daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter, produces the men and women in men's violence against women in close relationships in news articles and if there has been a change over time in this production. It is a qualitative study in which 40 news articles from DN were analyzed. The starting point in the tanks around the analysis is from a social constructive perspective. Critical discourse analysis is the method I chose to use in the processing of news stories. The result is divided into four different blocks where each block presents the results and the analysis for the following years: 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009.

The purpose of this study is to explain if the existence of ethnic groups in Rwanda has complicated its democratization and explain what opportunities Rwanda has to be democratized. To fulfill the purpose of the study, I intend to answer two questions: 1) Does the existence of ethnic groups obstructed democratization in Rwanda? and 2) What opportunities has Rwanda to be democratized? To answer the first research question Dahl's theory of subcultures and democratization is used and to answer the second research question van de Walle's theory of democratization is used in the region of sub-Saharan Africa. Literature used in the study are Dahl's Polyarchy and van de Walle Africa?s range of regimes and Freedom House annual reports.

The aim of this essay is to give the reader an idea of how the European agricultural policies have developed, in regard of sustainable development, since Sweden became a member in the union 1995. The main aspect that?s been investigated is the issues regarding sustainable development and how the issues regarding the ecological farming methods have been dealt with. My research questions are:- How has the European environment- and agricultural politics changed since Swedenjoined the union in 1995?- What consequences have the changes had for ecological farming?The answers to the stated questions are that there have been several treaties in the field of environmental development of the agricultural policy, starting with the Maastricht treaty and ends up with the European Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming.

Biological diversity is one out of four dimensions, characterizing the subject of Biology ac-cording to the school curriculum. As a concept, biological diversity had its break through at the UN environmental conference in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, where the convention about bio-logical diversity, named CBD, was signed. According to the convention, almost all the na-tions of the world have engaged themselves to preserve the national diversity of species, in-cluding the diversity of genetics and ecological systems.This thesis focuses the biological diversity from the perspective of school books. The aim is to find out how the biological diversity is presented in biology books for students aged 12-15 years.In 1994, the current Swedish secondary and high school curriculum called LPO-94 was pre-sented. The biology books used in this study were published between 1994 and 2007, all of them exist in many editions and are published by three different publishers.The conclusion of the study is that all the biology books that were examined have reached different levels of the development in the field of biological diversity..

I denna uppsats undersöks hur framställningen av svenska fotbollssupportrar sett ut mellan 1995 och 2014 i den tryckta pressen och hur denna rapportering skiljer sig mellan dags-, kvälls- och regionalpress. Ambitionen är även att ge svar på vilken påverkan åsiktsjournalistiken har haft på hur fotbollssupportrar framställts under denna tidsperiod. För att få svar på uppsatsens frågeställningar analyserades totalt 750 tidningsartiklar som publicerats i Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Göteborgs-Posten, Svenska Dagbladet och Sydsvenskan under åren 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 och 2014. Artiklarna valdes ut genom ett systematiskt urval och undersöktes utifrån en kvantitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatetan alyserades sedan utifrån teorier kring nyhetsvärdering, objektivitet och generalisering.

This study aims to investigate the political reformation of the psychiatric care in Sweden, that took place 1995. The main purpose is to illuminate the transformation of subjectivity for mentally ill people after the reform 1995. The group of people which are present in the study are those who former were subjects of care in psychiatric hospitals, but with regarding to the reform have moved out from the institutions and instead become clients for community care. This new group of mentally ill people became, in connection with the reform, subjects for a new concept psykiskt funktionshinder. This new label and concept, that were attached to the present group, is the main concept for the investigation in the present study. The method, that was used in the study, develops a textual based analysis of the official documents, that were produced in connection with the political decision to reform the care of mentally ill people. With a theoretical conceptuality taken from Michel Foucault, with concepts such as discourse, power, and subjectivity, are the documents analysed in order to illuminate how the new subjectivity, under the concept of psykiskt funktionshinder arise.

Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån befintlig officiell kriminalstatistik, självdeklarationsundersökningen i årskurs nio, SCB:s Undersökning av levnadsförhållanden och Brå:s Nationella trygghetsundersökning belysa och jämföra ungdomsvåldets utveckling i Stockholms, Västra Götalands och Skåne län mellan åren 1995 och 2008 och sedan jämföra de resultaten med statistiken för hela Sverige. Resultatet av dessa statistiska data ämnar jag analysera, diskutera och problematisera utifrån tidigare forskning i ämnet, sambandet mellan alkohol och våld och urbaniseringens inverkan på, och samband med våldsbrott.De frågeställningar som studien är tänkt att besvara är följande:- Hur har ungdomsvåldet utvecklats i Stockholms, Västra Götalands och Skåne län mellan åren 1995 och 2008?- Hur ser denna utveckling ut i förhållande till statistiken gällande Sveriges riksnivå under samma period?- Vilka skillnader eller likheter går att finna dels mellan de tre länen och dels mellan länen och hela Sverige under nämnda period?Sammanfattningsvis tyder studiens resultat inte på någon ökning av antal våldsbrott som begås av ungdomar under perioden 1995-2008. Utsattheten för våld eller hot bland ungdomar ser inte heller ut att ha ökat under samma period. Dessa resultat gäller för samtliga län och även för hela Sverige.

The lions at Kolmårdens zoo are vaccinated against Feline Panleukopenivirus (FPV). In 1994 there was an outbreak among the lions at the zoo of FPV disease. A retrospective study has been made to measure the antibodytiters in vaccinated lions and lions that lived during the outbreak. An ImmunoPeroxidase Monolayer Assay (IPMA) was used to analyze the titers in the sera from the lions. Lions were divided into five groups. Group 1, 2 and 3 contained lions vaccinated one, two and three times respectively (a total of 40 animals). The lions of Group 4 were born in 2004 (six lioncubs) and were vaccinated according to different regimes and the changes in antibodytiters were followed as respose to vaccination during the spring 2005.

Som ett verktyg för organisationer att möta en alltmer komplex omvärld och komplexa problem har Ronald A. Heifetz (1994) utvecklat Adaptive Leadership Theory. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om Adaptive Leadership Theory kunde användas för att få en förståelse för varför kommunikationsproblem återkommer. Frågeställningen var; Kan det undersökta företagets återkommande kommunikationsproblem förklaras, utifrån Heifetz? (1994) teori, med att medarbetarna har identifierat och hanterat dem felaktigt? Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer på en svensk arbetsplats och analyserades enligt en induktiv tematisk analys.
