I vårt examensarbete har vi undersökt bildens påverkan på barns läsutveckling. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur barn använder sig av bilder när de läser texter samt hur bild tillsammans med text kan påverka läsinlärningen. För att ta reda på våra frågeställningar har vi intervjuat barn i årskurs två kring olika bilder. Med bilden som utgångspunkt har vi studerat litteratur som berör området. I undersökningen kom vi fram till att bilder är en viktig del till läsförståelsen och att barnen använder sig av bilder när de läser.

Hur kan man använda sig av informationsdesignsprinciper för att formge layouten på en mjölkförpackning? Vilket formspråk används inom mjölkförpackningslayout, och hur visualiserar man ett företags varumärke genom bid och text? I min upsatts beskriver jag hur jag jobbat teoretiskt och praktiskt för att besvara dessa frågor..

Läxor har alltid varit en del av skolan och synen på läxor under årens gång varierat historiskt. Från början av 1900-talet var läxor viktiga för fostran och läxor har handlat om fakta som ska nötas in. Under 1940- talet dyker kraftiga motreaktioner dyker upp mot läxor. 1962 skrivs läxor in i läroplanen och de var mycket detaljerat skrivet för hur läxorna ska utföras. Inom Lgr80 får läxan ett uppsving och en strängare ton, men i och med Lpo94 så skrivs läxor ut ur kursplanen.

This thesis is an attempt to understand how the traditional female gender identity is constructed and what kind of structures that are maintaining it. I also study how this identity is reflected in young women's conception of themselves and in their views upon whether they should sign in to the military service or not.The theoretical framework that I use mainly consists of theories about gender construction, male dominance and the woman's role in the nation-state.The purpose of using this theoretical approach is to illustrate that the traditional female gender identity consists of characteristics that are in opposition to the male ones. The woman should be weaker, less aggressive and more caretaking than men- in sum she is defined as the Other. The structures that constructs this identity is the male dominance, also known as the gender system and the patriarchy.This traditional female gender identity and citizenship role that historically has been allotted to women in the nation-state is still today very vivant in Sweden and is reflected in the fact that the military service is optional for women. Certain parts of this identity is also reflected in the young women that I interview, in their sense of probably not fitting in to the military service, because of their sex and the characteristics discussed above, that are associated with it..

Etthundratrettio miljoner läkemedelsförpackningar säljs årligen i Sverige. Varje förpackning inkluderar en bipacksedel om det specifika läkemedlet. Bipacksedeln är utformad utifrån EU-direktivet 92/27EEC. Cirka trettio procent av alla läkemedelsanvändare läser bipacksedeln. Anledningen till varför patienterna inte läser den, beror på att bipacksedelns text är svår läsa och förstå.

All my short stories have been written in an intuitive way according to which no outline of characters, intrigue or plot was made in advance. A consequence of this process is that not even myself as the author is aware of the meaning of the texts and therefore I too have to interpret the stories. Because of the character of the text, I use an analysis of archetypes according to C. G. Jung?s analytic psychology.

What is the relation of image and word, of sentences and pictures? What kind of message does this combination produce when juxtaposed on a single material plane? And how do we read its ?infinite? relation? These are the questions at the center of this inquiry. My main interest concerns the exact nature of the relation between photographic images and textual elements of poetic language when these are juxtaposed in what I call Phototext poetry.The thesis calls into question the conventional reading habits of the conjunction of photographs and texts, and seeks to understand the more complex connections intrinsic to the relation image/word and its material and perceptual play in poetic works. Does a text always ?anchor? the multiple meanings of an image, as Roland Barthes argues? What if the alterations of an image could ?anchor? certain fractions of a poetic, polysemantic textual construct? Is a photograph indifferent to the visual, material permutations of texts that certain contemporary poetic practices produce?I discuss phototextual works and collaborations of various kinds, from Molin fontän [?Molin?s fountain?] (1866) over classic surrealist poetry to language-oriented writing.

AbstractThe purpose of this investigation was to understand how teachers/pedagogues nowadays work with mathematics in school. In what way can they pin point the difficulties a pupil with another language might have with mathematics.I started the process of this investigation by reading litterature on the subject. Then I did interviews with several teachers and pedagogues teaching in different schools with children at different ages.The results found in my investegation pointed to a lack of practical work with mathematics especially in classroom and revealed from the teachers a strong desire to work with mathematics in different ways.?Talking maths? with pupils in class will help them understand the subject better. Several teachers are of the opinion that the pupils will reach the goals in school with this method.The teachers are also aware of the importance of having practical mathematics.

Intresset för naturvetenskapliga ämnen i skolan sjunker och eleverna upplever dem faktaspäckade och svåra. Syftet med undersökningen är att studera undersökningsbaserat lärande (IBSE) i naturvetenskaplig undervisning med målsättningen att studien ska bidra med kunskap och erfarenhet kring metodens betydelse för måluppfyllelse och elevintresse. Förändringen studeras i ett aktionsforskningsprojekt. Inläsning av litteratur, genomförande av en undervisningssekvens, utvärdering och reflektion strukturerades och dokumenterades genom en aktionsforskningsprocess Aktionsforskningen ger en direkt koppling till praktiken och genomförs i nära anslutning till lärares och elevers vardag.. Lärarna som deltog i studien ansåg att det undersökningsbaserade undervisningssättet verkade stimulera elevernas engagemang och intresse för naturvetenskap.

When a car owner want to lock or unlock his or her car today, it?s preferable done by using aremote control. The system is really comfortable when the car owner is using the remote.A problem arises if a thief gets the remote.The thief doesn?t have to know where the car is parked, an approximate estimation where thecar is parked is enough.For instance, it?s enough to know which car park the car is parked in. If the thief knows that,he/she can repeatedly activate the remote control while looking for a car indicating with lightsand sounds.Because of the fact that a car usually indicates that it has been unlocked by making a shortsound indication, there will be no problem finding the car.The purpose with this project is to make a prototype which makes it harder for a thief to findthe car.

Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bild av hur lärare i svenska på gymnasiet ser på datorspel som texter inom ämnet svenska. Inledningsvis har en enkätundersökning genomförts bland svensklärare på gymnasiet i Luleå och Bodens kommuner, därefter har kvalitativa intervjuer med tre lärare genomförts med enkätsvaren som grund för ett strategiskt urval. Resultaten visar att de studerade lärarna generellt sett har låg kunskapsnivå och få erfarenheter av datorspelande. De vittnar dock om att spelandet är vanligt hos deras elever. Flera respondenter har aldrig kommit på tanken att nyttja datorspel som text och hänvisar detta till brist på engagemang och kunskap om spelen.

Dagens ungdomar befinner sig i större utsträckning i frånvaro av vuxna. De lever idag i ett allt mer utpräglat mediesamhälle, de matas ideligen av det massmediala utbudet och det handlar mer om yta och prestationer än om känsla och medmänsklighet. Syftet är att undersöka hur sex unga män i åldrarna 16-17 år upplever och konstruerar sin identitet samt hur de ser på manlighet och maskulinitet i relation till familj, skola samt vänner/fritid ? där sistnämnda även inkluderar nätverksamhet som Facebook.Empiri har samlats in med hjälp av intervju som metodverktyg. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är Connells teorier kring maskulinitet och den hegemoniska maskuliniteten samt Bourdieus begrepp habitus och kapitaltillgångar.Ett tydligt och framträdande resultat har visat sig, nämligen att identitetsskapandet påverkas och är beroende av ett flertal faktorer.

The blog has become a widely discussed subject, but while marketers do invest in blogs, there is little evidence on the how the blog works as a marketing tool. Therefore, we thought it would be interesting to create a greater understanding of the blog's potential communication effects. To demonstrate the potential of the blog in comparison with more traditional media, we decided to compare the communication effects achieved by a blog with those achieved by an online magazine. We pursued an experiment where we exposed an identical text about a brand to respondents in seven blogs and in seven online papers and measured the resulting communication effects in terms of attitudes and intentions towards the exposed brand. The quantitative study showed that the blog in some basic aspects works as a more traditional media; when the consumer forms positive attitudes toward a text in a blog, the attitude spills over to the attitude toward the brand, with higher buying and w-o-m intentions as a consequence.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the reading methods that pedagogues, active in classes 1-3, use in the first stage of learning to read and how they consider their own choices of methods. In the theoretical background I sort out the basic differences between synthetic and analytic methods of acquiring the skills of reading. The analytic reading method means that the skills of reading starts with the complete text in order to later analyze the parts of the text. The synthetic method approach is based on a reading method where the parts are linked as a whole. The two methods are considered antipodes but can also be looked upon as complements in the current governing documents.
