Framtagning av äldreanpassad stol : the development of a chair suitable for the elderly

This report summarizes a Bachelor Degree Project in Integrated Product Development, carried out during the fall 2007 till spring 2008 by three students at the Product Design Engineering Program at the University of Skövde. The project was performed in cooperation with Lundbergs Möbler AB in Tibro. Lundbergs wants to start selling furniture to the public eldercare. The purpose of this project was to adjust one of their chairs. The project layout was to first make a preliminary investigation where the market, competitors? assortment and the purchasing process are studied.

To automate software testing is an investment, and that makes it important to have good knowledge about automation before an implementation is made. In this master thesis a study about automated testing is carried out. The study also includes a closer look at the testing tool TestComplete. TestComplete is one out of many tools on the market that is developed for automated GUI testing and the goal is to get a picture of how well the tool can adjust to CC Systems own applications. Studies show that it is hard to write lasting test scripts.

The first incident, took place the 17th of April 2001, whereas the second pieing is more recent, 5th November 2013. We aim to understand the differences between these two with knowledge of the political climate in Sweden, but also by journalistic and scientific tools, such as framing theory and CDA.Material/Method: In order to fulfill the purpose of this study we have chosen to use a qualitative method of content analyzes, the critical discourse analyzes, combined with framing theory.

Utveckling av kompatibilitetsdatabas

This report explains the need to develop a configuration manager that handles transmission equipment which exists in the Swedish Defence telecommunications network. The configuration module will display the configurations and compatibility among the equipment and their software which are all part of the network.Also included in this report are tools, methods and results for the development of a prototype for the configuration manager. The prototype consists fundamentally of a database assisted by a user friendly website.The transmission equipment handles a lot of important transmission of information and is in the hands of a department of SAAB, OFGCA, by orders from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Within the work included in this order exists a continuous update of both software and hardware which the equipment consists of. Therefore it?s highly important that there is a monitoring of which of the software and hardware is compatible with one another, ensuring that the functions of the system work properly.The consistent updating has resulted in compatibility issues between components and because of this, a need for a configuration manager has arisen..

Many political reforms are currently implemented in the Swedish schools. The trend indicate that education in Sweden follows neo-liberal restructuring policy, that highlights assessment, marketization and surveillance in different aspects. According to the new curriculum LGR 11 the school head is the school's educational leader with responsibility for the school's results and development. The reforms put new demands on the school heads tasks, their responsibility and leadership. The aim of my research study is to investigate how the school heads experience andhandle this situation.

Språkstimulering i förskolan

The purpose of the paper is to examine how teachers in preschool is working with language stimulation for the prevention of difficulties in reading and writing before school starts. The method that was used to illuminate the problem is a qualitative interview. A specialpedagog and six preschool teacher, which is specifically focused on language stimulation in the work with children, have been included in the study. The results indicated that preschool teacher are working a lot with language stimulation. They work mostly with children throughout the group, to encourage and provide children with the tools to be able to communicate with each other and staff.

Within these courses, students are mainly introduced to one type of design process, a process based on the specific site and its conditions, known as Genius Loci. This report presents a course and a design methodology from Cornell University which aims to provide students with tools for a more conceptual way of thinking about design and architecture. The Swedish state and educational system are secular, so to say they do not depend on the former protestant state church anymore. Many people in Sweden are also secular. Even so, in school teachers meet students with a religious faith. The purpose of this study is to examine how teachers without a religious belonging experience the encounter with religious students. The method used was semistructured interviews with five teachers in a upper secondary school in a multicultural suburb of Stockholm.

Svenskdidaktik i (o)jämlikhetens landskap : en studie om språkutveckling, rasifiering och klass

Symbolic resources transform in to social power and material resources through the educational system. This entails that all students should have equal access to it.The essay compares Swedish didactics in ?immigrant? and ?white? schools, all situated in socio-economically underprivileged areas, analysing interviews with eight Swedish teachers about their didactics regarding restricted and elaborated language code.Understanding teacher?s work in the class room requires attention to the intersections between race and class, and of both to the distribution of symbolic resources in general.The essay finds that the practice of the? immigrant? school teachers differs from the ?white? school teachers?. The former are active, providing intellectual tools, scaffolding and driving force while the later choose a more passive attitude, letting students decide for themselves what to do and what goals to reach. Consequently ?white? schools allow the reproduction of unequal distribution of symbolic resources while practice in immigrant schools aim to compensate for disadvantages.Practice seems to win legitimacy by different sets of conceptualisations.

The paper will be based on three issues, and will be explored through interviews with five-working teachers. The existing boundaries and the essay outline and key concepts presented. Then follow the theoretical extensions selected. These are adapted along the topic selection.

The debate is still under ?construction?, which means that the debate has not yet come up with a solution to the problems of discrimination.

In recent years, the demands for effectiveness and evidence in social work have increased in all work areas, including that of healthcare. This has sparked the discussion on concepts such as practical- and theoretical knowledge and their respective roles in social work. In the light of this, the purpose of this candidate thesis is to investigate healthcare social workers understanding of practical- and theoretical knowledge in the working process as well as their respective influence and importance. This candidate thesis is based on three interviews with social workers from different departments in Norrlands Universitetssjukhus in Umeå, Sweden. To provide range to the thesis, the interviewees were chosen from a purposeful sampling.

Pedagogisk kartläggning i matematik : en kvalitativ studie av specialpedagogers tillvägagångssätt

AbstraktEn avgörande faktor för att kunna förebygga, avhjälpa eller lindra matematiksvårigheter är ifall pedagoger har kompetens att genomföra en kartläggning, som ger vägledning för fortsatta pedagogiska insatser (Lundberg & Sterner, 2009). Med detta som utgångspunkt var syftet med studien att undersöka yrkesverksamma specialpedagogers syn på kartläggning och yngre elevers räknesvårigheter samt hur de går till väga vid en pedagogisk kartläggning i matematik. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerad intervju som metod. Deltagarna i undersökningen är två specialpedagoger med gedigen utbildning och erfarenhet inom området. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att informanterna har en formativ syn på kartläggning.
