Faith is a phenomenon that engages the individual into emotional, social and daily manners.Religion tends to engage the individual in diffeRent levels in the daily life. In the church communion, there is a belief to the traditional and the repeteated behaviour. This shared group is strength by ceremonies and rituals and people in this collective somehow experience another type of reality. This study has a social - psychological perspective and the purpose is to study people?s know-how of faith and why they seek religion in today´s secularized society.

 Since the 28thof May the project to develop an internal Innovation Leadership Program (ILP)on Accenture has been running and came to an end in November the same year. The taskwas formed into a master thesis and given to two students at the Royal Institute ofTechnology in Sweden.Since the start the content and structure of the ILP has been established based on the resultsof a theoretical study, a gap analysis and an external and internal benchmarking. The theoreticalstudy focused on articles, books and lectures about innovation, creativity and pedagogy. Subjectssuch as leadership, motivation, reflection and coaching were studied as well, but in a smaller scale.The gap analysis consisted of eleven interviews with people from different career levels withinAccenture and the goal was to establish the view of innovation and creativity among the employees.The interviews also asked about the knowledge the participants had about Technology Lab in orderto get insight of how to improve their communication and cooperation with people in client projects.Internally a similar program was studied called Minority Leadership program, whom will not bedescribed further in this report, to get inspiration. The external benchmarking was conducted onStanford and was very successful.

This qualitative study aims to investigate some secondary school teacers' attitudes to and experiences of motivation in their second language classrooms. Through qualitative interviews with five teachers some different perspectives on motivation and its function in second language acquisition have come to light. First, motivation is seen as something important and some teachers tend to distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Those who do so tend to value intrinsic motivation more highly. Secondly, teachers believe they can affect students' levels of motivation.

The purpose of this this thesis is to evaluate the books that the Library Project "Give me five" uses accoring to their own project objective. Starting in the discussion of censorship that took place in Swedish media, the goal of the project is to defend picture books that portray child's inner and outer worlds. Some of the books are selected by librarians and some preschool teachers themselves have chosen. I have a in a thematic analysis examined if the books' themes meet the requirements of the project goals and if there is any difference on the books that preschool teachers chosen and the ones that the librarians have selected. I have in a image analysis investigated whether they have used books that challenge children's imagery, and if the books portray children's outer world.

Denna uppsats syftar till att ta reda på om, och i så fall hur, jag som sångare påverkas av vilken epok jag arbetar med. Hur påverkar det mig tekniskt att sjunga renässansmusik? Gör mina förväntningar på t.ex romantisk opera att jag lägger mig till med vissa fel? Blir jag rent av en bättre sångare när jag arbetar med barockmusik? För att ta reda på detta gjorde jag fem inspelningar av stycken från olika epoker. Dessa lät jag sen professionella sångare och sångpedagoger lyssna på, för att därefter besvara en enkät med några frågor med fokus på framför allt teknik och uttryck. Jag fick delvis varierande och delvis eniga svar från respondenterna.

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

Dagens syn på forskning inom det krigsvetenskapliga området avseende teorier om krigföring är alltför snäv.  Det saknas en metateoretisk referensram för att skapa en djupare förståelse för dem. Konsekvensen av detta kan bli att teorier om sjökrigföring används vid utbildning eller diskussioner inom områden som teorierna inte är utformade för.Syftet med studien är att undersöka teorier om sjökrigföring med en metateoretisk modell för att öka kunskapen om teorierna och beskriva deras vetenskapsteoretiska grund.För att svara på undersökningens två frågeställningar och uppnå syftet analyseras, kategoriseras och jämförs Julian Corbetts och Alfred Mahans teorier om sjökrigföring. Att dessa marina tänkare har valts beror på att de är allmänt erkända och utgör grunden för dagens teoribildning om sjökrigföring.Resultaten i studien visar att de båda marina tänkarna i många avseenden är lika och har ibland rent av identiska tankar om sjökrigföring. Det som skiljer Corbett och Mahan åt är deras vetenskapsteoretiska utgångpunkter.

The absence of female directors on Swedish corporate boards is currently a hot topic for both politicians and business leaders all over the world. This thesis aims to discuss reasons for the scarcity of women on boards in Swedish publicly listed companies as well as what actions are taken to alter the composition of these boards. A rigorous selection of gender theories have been used together with data collected from in-depth interviews with mainly board members and nomination committees. Extensive analysis has led to findings that historical perceptions of differences between men and women linger as of today, which prevents women to reach top executive levels as well as board positions. The increasing use of headhunters has encouraged companies to look beyond male-dominated networks in an attempt to widen the range of potential board nominees.

Vi har under tio veckor producerat en del av Peter Martinssons film Eve. Vi har stått bakom en stor del av den tekniska biten. Vi har inte deltagit något i idéarbetet och idén bakom filmen, däremot har vi påverkat det visuella resultatet genom att göra stora delar av bakgrundsmaterialet. På så sätt har våra idéer och vår konst fått en stor del i filmen. Genom detta arbete har vi velat utveckla våra kunskaper främst i programmet AliasWavefront Maya, men även rent estetiskt.

Sexualitet har visat sig vara en viktig del av människans upplevelse av hälsa. För kvinnor drabbade av gynekologisk cancer är det extra påtagligt då sjukdomen och behandling rent fysiskt påverkar de sexuella organen. Studier visar att de finns en brist av kommunikation gällande detta ämne inom vården. Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att försöka identifiera faktorer för ett framgångsrikt samtal om sexualitet med kvinnor drabbade av gynekologisk cancer. En systematisk litteratursökning efter relevanta artiklar för ämnet utfördes och resultatet av valda artiklar sammanställdes.

The tomato is an important crop worldwide, and in recent years it has received great attention due to its rich content of carotenoids, which in studies indicate to have health benefiting properties. Many studies have been done in this area of research and in how to optimize the carotenoid content in tomatoes and tomato products. The objectives of this essay were to summarize present data in this field. The results were as follows:There are nine different carotenoids identified in tomatoes. Lycopene and ?-carotene are the ones that have been given the greatest attention.

At the end of August 1999, the local government council of Malmö city decided thatthe area known as Kvarteret Bilen would be made available for the European HousingExhibition 2001 (Bo01-mässan). Kvarteret Bilen extends over approximately 80hectars and includes the western parts of the Western Harbour area (Västra hamnen)of Malmö.Kvarteret Bilen as a whole, but especially the western sections of this area, the socalledBo01 section, has been the subject of heated discussions. This is mainly due tothe fact that the ground in question has proven to be contaminated to a certain extentby different chemical compounds. Investigations undertaken during 1998 showed sporadically high concentrations forespecially one chemical group: polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH).The first part of the paper describes the use of a mathematical equation (Fetter 1994)to calculate the concentration of PAH from a continuous discharge at a given time byemploying Geographical Information System (GIS). Even the constraints of theequation are discussed, as well as the consequences that follow as a result of usingGIS.The second part of the paper focuses on the connections between the content ofcarcinogenic PAH in Kvarteret Bilen and the ground water level and type of fillingmaterial.
