Jag har valt att fördjupa mig i frågan kring om sångrösten hos klassiska sångare påverkas av övervikt, och i så fall hur. Frågan är belyst från tre håll; aspekterna fysiologi, psykologi och historia finns med. Jag har intervjuat Johan Sundberg, professor i Musikakustik samt läst en mängd böcker, artiklar, uppsatser och forskningsrapporter i ämnet. Undersökningen visar att bland annat bukmuskulaturen, tyngdkraften i strupen samt syresättningen av blodet påverkas av övervikt. Det är också tydligt att sång påverkar den inre människan positivt, dvs.

Assessing the emotional state in animals is important in order to establish the quality of their welfare, therefore it is important to investigate under what circumstances animals experience these emotions and to find indicators of their existence. The aim of this thesis was to detect possible behavioural indicators for positive emotions in dogs. These behavioural indicators could be helpful to increase both dogs? and humans? overall well-being in today?s society since they could help e.g. dog owners and caretakers to interpret behaviours displayed by dogs and their intentions so they can respond accordingly.The subjects used were 9 research beagles and each dog participated in three different treatments, assumed to be experienced as positive situations, where communicative interaction was initiated with the dog by engaging in 1) physical contact (P), 2) verbal contact (V) or 3) both physical and verbal contact simultaneously (PV).

I dagens samhälle används miniräknaren i många vardagssituationer. I grundskolan sker räkning huvudsakligen med algoritmer. Utgångspunkten i detta examensarbete har varit att försöka att se om miniräknaren används med eftertanke i de olika stadierna i skolan och se vilka möjligheter det finns med att använda den som ett hjälpmedel. På vilka sätt kan miniräknaren användas för att hjälpa eleverna att förstå matematiken bättre? Eller är det kanske rent utav en fara att använda den innan eleverna har fått en grundläggande förståelse för aritmetik? Vi kommer att inleda med en beskrivning av tidigare forskning om elevers lärande i matematik och titta på vad denna forskning visat angående användningen av miniräknaren.

In this study I compare the use of reporting verbs in direct speech in Swedish and Polish literary prose. The aim is to examine how differences in usage are reflected in translations to and from Swedish and to what extent the translator adapts the text to the target language and its literary conventions.I have compared the material on two levels: source text versus source text in Polish and Swedish respectively, to see what kind of speech verbs are most commonly used, and source text versus target text, to study the strategies the translators have used and to what extent reporting verbs are altered or not.I have also studied quotation verb + adverbial phrase or prepositional phrase, to investigate if they are more frequent in the two target texts or adapted to the literary concentions of the target language. .

This paper is about drug prevention. In my paper the aim is to examine when, where and how the drug prevention work, by law, is being realized, on local levels, in school and municipality, towards youth.My central questions are among others: What does it imply, how the municipality and school value the drug prevention work?, Which prevention programs do the municipality and school use? and Does the drug prevention work give any results? The method I've been using is qualitative interviews and studies of literature and research.The main results I gained with my studie are, that the work of politicians is not in phase with the development in society. And in spite of the fact that drug prevention programs are used, the young ones are using drugs and alcohol more than ever..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att på ett vetenskapligt sätt redogöra för min designprocess under mitt examensarbete. I mitt examensarbete har jag arbetat för Hamnkrogen med att ta fram en tallrik i glas till deras servis. Flera krav ställdes från deras sida då tallriken var tvungen att fungera rent praktiskt i restaurangen. Bland annat var tallrikarna tvungna att klara av maskindisk och hålla vissa mått samt fungera väl ihop med maten som serveras. De ville också att deras marina tema skulle stärkas med hjälp av tallrikarnas estetik.

Polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs, were used in elastic sealants in buildings during the years1956-1973. Studies of PCB have revealed that it is harmful for humans and animals,especially water-living predators and other top-predators. It is also a persistent organicpollutant and remains in the environment for a very long time. To reduce the levels of PCB inthe environment, it has to be removed from the buildings. According to Swedish law, theproperty holder has to decontaminate sealants with a PCB level of 500 mg/kg or above.

Det finns indikationer på att det råder brister i skolans interkulturella arbete. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att belysa denna problematik genom att undersöka hur elever med invandrarbakgrund ser på sina lärares interkulturella kompetenser. Undersökningen är genomförd med hjälp av intervjuer där elever på tre olika gymnasieskolor i Malmö har fått ge sina perspektiv på lärares förhållningssätt och arbetsmetoder. Resultatet antyder stora variationer mellan olika lärare. Berättelser om pedagoger som är öppna gentemot andra kulturer och som försöker att bedriva ett medvetet mångfaldsarbete framkom, men det fanns även elever som träffat oengagerade lärare och ibland även fördomsfulla och rent främlingsfientliga sådana.

Denna rapport inriktar sig till ett mindre företag som vill tillhandahålla en egen fjärrbackuplösning. Backupen ska göras från en server placerad i företagets lokal till en lagringsenhet i någon av ägarnas hem med hjälp av VPN-förbindelse. För detta krävs ett program som har stöd för att göra uppkoppling automatiskt via VPN på en Windows 2008 Server, 64-bit plattform. Utöver det ska kryptering, komprimering och funktion för full och inkrementell backup finnas tillgängligt i programmet. Fyra fjärrbackupprogram har därför utsetts för jämförelse av hur de kan lösa företagets krav.

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

This study examines gender differences in the perception and utilization of social support in traditional female- and male workplaces. This study confirms results from earlier studies which suggest that there are gender differences. The survey instrument measures four types of social support: informational, instrumental, appraisal and emotional among 314 working women and men. Women report higher levels of social support on all four types. There is a significant difference in instrumental support between women working in female dominated workplaces compared to men working in male-dominated workplaces and between some of the trades.

The main question in this thesis has been to see how the brand strategy of Linköpings Hockey Club has changed during the years in the Swedish elite league. We will also look at the content of the brand, as well as the association as the city of Linköping. This thesis will also see the sponsorship view of the development of the brand, because of the sponsorship power to help the association to build and strengthen the brand.We have been interviewing important persons at the association Linköpings Hockey Club and also done interviews with a few sponsorship partners to get important information to analyze.As an association it is of outmost importance to disseminate the association?s image in the right way, which Linköpings Hockey Club has according to their sponsorship partners. The association has during the last years been working hard to take care of and strengthen the brand, which can be seen among the sponsorship partners.

The overarching purpose is to describe how elite soccer clubs choose to structure their sport oriented organization. This purpose leads us to questions and areas involving sport managers, casting, operational directions, education and goal setting in sport.The results in this thesis are based upon a qualitative investigation of sport managers in Swedish elite soccer clubs. To strengthen the reliability in our choice of method we will fortify it with theories that reflect methodical choice.Our conclusions in this thesis is that one can see a clear difference in how the clubs choose to structure the casting and operational directions within their organization. We have also noted that there is a clear distinguish between the levels of education amongst sport managers in Swedish elite soccer clubs..

Hösten 2002 inledde Piteå kommun ett personalförsörjningsprojekt som gått under namnet ?HELdelprojektet ? ett projekt i tiden?. Rent konkret har projektet inneburit att personal inom äldre- och handikappomsorgen erbjudits heltidsanställningar med möjlighet att söka tjänstledigt del av tid. Samtidigt har personalen givits möjlighet att välja när de vill och kan arbeta under förutsättning att verksamhetens behov täckts upp. Anledningen till att man startade HELdelprojektet i Piteå var att kommunen ville klara av framtida personalförsörjning bättre, samt öka vård- och omsorgsyrkets attraktionskraft .
