The theoretical focus in this master is information retrieval (IR), and especially the part of IR that includes interactivity. This research is by some researchers called IIR. Our principal aim was to examine if search engines on the WWW are taking advantage of research results from IIR research. A way to do this is to look at the application of special features, in this case query expansion (QE) and relevance feedback (RF). Both these methods aim for a better matching of documents and the searchers information need.

This is a qualitative analysis that, based on systemic functional linguistics, or SFL, and genre theory, has aimed to study the genre pedagogical implications on written language as they occur in narrative stories and expositions whilst the model is introduced. Systemic functional linguistics is a linguistic theory that views the organisation of language as functional options for meaning; language is a set of resources to channel meaning through realisation. Genre theory elucidates the pragmatic and educational uses of SFL in the categorizing of language in configurations of meanings as they are set and understood in different cultures.  The purpose of the survey is to do so with focus on successful and less successful writers by attempting to answer two primal issues:How is development of written language in reference to the introduction of the genre pedagogical model visible in the studied texts?How does genre pedagogical teaching influence successful and less successful writers as visible in their writing with a certain purpose?To answer these issues the survey is based on narratives and expositions written by high school students who have been divided into two groups according to the purpose of the survey. One text in each genre has been written by the students before and after lessons based on the genre pedagogical learning wheel explaining the relevant genres.

Informationsteknik används idag i stor utsträckning för att sprida information och även våra myndigheter publicerar alltmer information på sina webbplatser. Människor förväntas vara självständiga och kapabla att på egen hand finna den information de behöver, men faktum är att information på dessa webbplatser kan vara otillgänglig för vissa användargrupper. Omkring en fjärdedel av den vuxna befolkningen i Sverige har lässvårigheter och det är inte självklart att de kan läsa och förstå det som är skrivet på myndigheternas webbplatser.Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera om informationen på svenska kommuners webbplatser kan anses tillgänglig för personer med lässvårigheter. Vidare utreds även vilka åtgärder som kan vidtas för att åtgärda brister i denna typ av tillgänglighetsanpassning, samt vilken information på kommunernas webbplatser som är mest relevant att göra tillgänglig för personer med lässvårigheter genom översättning till lättläst svenska. Detta har gjorts genom att undersöka hur väl informationen motsvarar rekommendationerna för lättläst svenska och WCAG 1.0 riktlinje 14.

Detta examensarbete är genomfört inom ramen för examensarbetet på lärarprogrammet vid Malmö högskola. Syftet med uppsatsen är att visa på möjligheterna med ny didaktik vid undervisning i företagsekonomi på gymnasiet. Metoden som använts är studie av relevant pedagogisk och didaktisk litteratur. Resultatet är ett förslag på möjligheter med ny didaktik i ämnet Företagsekonomi med hjälp av MMORPGs funktioner. Slutsatsen är att användandet av MMORPGs vid undervisning i ämnet Företagsekonomi skapar många värdefulla fördelar ur didaktisk synpunkt i jämförelse med dagens klassrumsdominerade didaktik..

I ett sådant reflektionsarbete kan den lokala församlingens organisationsidentitet, exempelvis i termer av ?folkkyrka?, vara en drivkraft för förnyelsearbete. I rapporten undersöks säkerhetsaspekter för företagsapplikationer utvecklade till androidplattformen. Rapporten tar även upp Androids grunder och dess säkerhetsmodell. Syftet med rapporten var att undersöka Androids lämplighet för projekt som HOW Solutions har planerade. Under arbetet har en applikation för trådlös öppning av lås utvecklats. Resultatet var att många av de hot som upptäcktes var, för företag, i vissa fall är svåra att mitigera och att viss relevant funktionalitet saknas på plattformen.

In Sweden has the temporary agency work industry settled in an explosive way since the deregulation of the unemployment agency monopole in 1993. The demand of civil right for the employer that is rented out confronts the entire labour law regulation with new challenges.The purpose with this paper is an investigation of the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act and also to create a deeper understanding of the effects of labour and employment relationship. An investigation of relevant collective agreements will be done to highlight the difficulties the principal of equal treatment is exposed to. Further on is there a will to gain understanding for the wage concept and what possible can be included in the wage concept in relation to the principal of equal treatment in The temporary agency work directive. By using the dogmatic method, an approach to descriptive identifying relevant sources of law and clarify the legal situation in the area.In the conclusions it will be determined that the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act have different effects depending on if the temporary agency or if the client corporation is tied to an collective agreement alternative if a collective agreement is completely missing.

Som student på lärarutbildningen fick jag bland annat lära mig om olika inlärningsstilar och om vikten av varierade arbetsformer i undervisningen. Något förenklat menar vissa forskare att man kan skilja den teoretiskt lagde eleven från den mer praktiskt lagde, vilket betyder att en mix av teoretisk och praktisk/laborativ undervisning skapar bra förutsättningar för att så många som möjligt ska kunna ta del av den. Inte minst viktigt är detta i ämnet matematik och budskapet från Skolverket är det samma vad gäller detta ämne.Denna uppsats handlar om matematikundervisningen på högstadiet, det vill säga grundskolans senare år, åk 7-9. Den är kopplad till de faktorer som styr vårt lärande och om elevernas förståelse för matematik gagnas av praktiska och laborativa övningar eller inte. Då det i diskussioner om dagens matematikundervisning ofta framkommer att användandet av den praktiska/laborativa matematikundervisningen på högstadiet borde vara större, har jag i denna studie valt att undersöka om dess inverkan verkligen är så viktig som görs gällande.Är tron på praktisk och laborativ matematikundervisning relevant eller överdriven?Med hjälp av litteratur, samtal med lärare och pedagoger och en betygsjämförelse har jag försökt att hitta fakta som belyser den praktiska/laborativa undervisningens betydelse för studieresultatet i matematik.

The precise questions are:? Which are the relevant contributions for the balance of power from a perspective of juridification in the new EU-treaty?? What impacts do those contributions have on the so called ?European federalism??The theoretical perspective of this study is rooted in the concept of federalism with special emphasizes on constitution and sovereignty as well as a part about the process of juridification. Crisis communication in today's society is an important element for organizations. Whether an organization makes it through a crisis, good or bad is largely based on their crisis communication work. Crisis communication is about how the organization works to repair or maintain the organization's external image, the image that society has about the organization. When a crisis occurs stakeholders lose confidence in the organization or change their mind about it.This case study is about exploring how a municipality handles crisis communication through the various phases of a crisis. The study is also to examine how the municipality communicates with its stakeholders in specific communication channels during a crisis.The case study makes use of theories circulating crisis communication, such as: theories of how crisis communication should be handled, how a crisis is recognized, the different phases of a crisis, the communication channels that can be used and who may be interested in an organization when a crisis reveals itself.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att studera leken och dess betydelse i förskolan. Vi har tagit del av litteratur som belyser leken på ett relevant sätt och det redovisar vi i vår teoriedel där vi tar upp olika perspektiv på leken som är: Fröbel, utvecklingspsykologiskt perspektiv och kulturpedagogiskt synsätt. Teoridelen avslutas med en jämförelse mellan de olika teoretikerna. Undersökningen som vi har gjort består av sju intervjuer på fyra olika förskolor som vi belyser i vår resultatdel. Resultatet av våra studier visar bland annat att det sociala samspelet har stor betydelse i barns lek.

We will investigate and present how to build a digitally created Matte Painting that enables not having to travel across the country for the ideal film location, but can shoot the scene in a studio environment. We analyze existing film scenes that have made use of Matte Painting, making comparisons between different uses for Matte painting and discuss a conclusion that answers our main question: "How has the evolution of the film technology, Matte Painting, looked like and how you can apply a digital matte paint in post production to enhance the overall experience of a movie scene?".
