We live in an exciting society, characterized by continuous changes and challenges. The effects of the globalization are widespread. The continuous flow of people, capital and goods follows in the wake of advances in communications, transport and information technology, resulting in a changed situation for different stakeholders in the society. This situation leads to increased cooperation and exchange, but also increased competition. The primary means of collecting empirical data for this study was interviews and a document study.

I have studied how human networks can affect decision-making and different constellations. The primary purpose is to clarify the possibility to affect the decision to move the infrastructure investments from Region Skåne to Region Västra Götaland. The study starts at the EU-level and continues to the Government and on to the region. Region Skåne is studied especially since it was from there the infrastructure investments were moved.The conclusion is that there is no specific representation in the government that represents regional topics, in spite of the fact that almost 30% of the members of the Parliament come from these regions. There is no discussion between the members that could be considered a networking-activity beneficial for the regions.

Uppsatsens syfte är att öka kunskapen om de faktorer som bestämmer efterfrågan på lokal och regional kollektivtrafik. För att uppfylla syftet estimeras efterfrågemodeller med hjälp av data från Linköpings tätortstrafik och Sveriges länstrafikbolag. Modellerna formuleras med utgångspunkt från ekonomisk teori och tidigare studier innom området. Bland annat konstateras att resenärens tid är en viktig produktionsfaktor vid produktion av transporttjänster. I modellerna som formuleras förklaras resandet med den monetära avgiften för en resa, realinkomst, bilinnehav per person, petroleumpris och utbudskilometer per innevånare.

This thesis is ordered by Peab Sweden AB Regional Jönköping and concerns of warranty inspections.The intention is to work out a basis, which show the most common complaints is the warranty inspections, and make a small analysis on what causes them to be. The report also presents possible solutions to prevent the occurrence of defects. It also covers the issue of how the client looks at Peabs way to overcome the objections of warranty inspections. The report has the following issues:?What are the most common errors observed during the warranty inspection??What are the causes of complaints??What can be done to reduce the number of complaints??How the customer thinks that the complaints be addressed?Twenty-five Guarantee survey records from the projects Peab has done in recent years has been the starting point for the investigation.

Slussen är Stockholms andra största mötespunkt efter T-centralen. För den omfattande ombyggnation som Slussen står inför är projektets prioritering att minimera störningar i kollektivtrafik, gång ? och cykeltrafik samt biltrafik då detta är en knutpunkt för såväl bilar, båtar kollektivtrafik samt fotgängare och cyklister. Här passerar 300 000 resenärer dagligen.För att ta reda på hur andra stora projekt har löst sina logistiska problem utfördes intervjuer på personer med insikt på logistik i deras verksamhet. Enkäter delades även ut till de olika delområdena i projekts Slussens byggledning för att få bättre förståelse för hur projektet vill arbeta.För att få en bra översikt över hur många transporter som kommer behöva passera ut och in genom entreprenadernas gränser utfördes beräkningar.Resultatet av undersökningarna visar att det viktigaste är att produkter levereras i rätt tid till rätt plats utan mellanlagring.

I Sverige är kommunerna ansvariga för planeringen genom det kommunala planmonopolet. I och med att människor blir allt mer rörliga suddas gränserna också ut allt mer. Kommunerna tvingas ändra sina rutiner och se på exempel, för att lära sig hur planeringen över gränser går till. Flera faktorer och aktörer på lokal, regional, och nationell nivå påverkar hur den regionala planeringen ser ut.I landskapssammanhang är det en nödvändighet att planera över gränser, och efterfrågan av planeringsstrategier över gränser väcker behovet av större regioner, där gemensamma strategier kan ange ramarna.Genom studier av litteratur som tar upp exempel på regionalplanering i olika skalor och definitioner av aktörer och begrepp, ges i den här uppsatsen en bild avhur regional planering fungerar idag. Litteraturen är hämtad från EU?parlament, Sveriges Regering och Riksdag samt både statliga verk och andra organisationer som beskriver sina och andras roller inom planering som försiggår över gränserna..

The proportion of women entrepreneurs in Sweden is, as in many countries, smaller than the proportion of men entrepreneurs. Sweden has therefore created political measures with the ambition to increase women entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about the determinants of women entrepreneurship is needed in order to enable the promotion of it and, at the same time one can question the treatment of women entrepreneurs as a homogenous group. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of women entrepreneurship and whether these determinants fluctuate regionally. If this proves to be the case, a more spatial/individual approach should be used, when creating measures to promote entrepreneurship.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att hitta en innovativ definition av begreppet interna kunder samt föreslå en implementeringsstrategi för en av den svenska matvarugrossisten ICAs lagerenheter. Vi har nått våra slutsatser genom kreativa studiebesök, interaktiva intervjuer, en innovativ workshop och litteraturstudier. Vi har utgått från leanfilosofin och teorier om kulturer, förtroende och kommunikation i organisationer. Inom samtliga områden har vi stött på kopplingar till inre och yttre effektivitet. Under intervjuerna upptäckte vi att ICA står inför vissa utmaningar när det gäller de anställdas förtroende, kommunikation och individualistiska tankesätt.

Every plan and program decided on by an authority or municipality, where the environmental impact can be considerable, must be environmentally assessed according to Environmental Code, the Planning and Building Act (PBA) and the Regulation on Environmental Impact Assessment.The purpose of this study is to examine the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for The Region Development Plan for the Stockholm Region, RUFS 2010. The plan was approved by at that time the Regional Planning Office (Regionplanekontoret), which procured the process by consultants. RUFS 2010 includes two merged plans ie. a regional Development Plan (RUP) and the Regional Spatial Plan for Stockholm. It was necessary to establish an environmental assessment of RUP, but not for the regional plan.

In Sweden according to the planning and building Act municipalities have planning monopoly. The question about shopping centres in the outskirts of cities is a regional issue, because they attract customers from a large area. Municipalities often find it hard to assert themselves against large commercial companies when it comes to their establishing new retail outlets on the outskirts of cities. Without a regional co-operation there is a risk that municipalities can be played up against one another, so that more and more companies are given permits without the municipalities having taken the strategic consideration necessary for a long term sustainable development. The focus in this work is on four municipalities in the Södertörn region (Södertälje, Botkyrka, Huddinge and Nynäshamn).

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how the logistic and the configuration of the terminal buildings and the perceptions of the passengers at Stockholm Arlanda Airport are related to each other, and what effect it has on the passengers and their traveling within the airport.The focus will be on the logistic at all four terminal buildings that is within the Airport. To create a perception of the logistic at the Airport and how it is related to the passengers perceptions, the investigators need to make knowledge of the terminal buildings, and thereby try to link the logistic with the perception of the experience room.Swedavia is the company that own, operate at and manage Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The investigators will make an interview with employees at Swedavia to get a more profound understanding of how the company is thinking about the logistic issues that they need to overlook. There will also be interviews with travelers to get their perception of the logistic, design and atmosphere at the Airport.Observations will also be made at various times at the Airport with focus on all of the terminal buildings. The investigators use qualitative and quantitative methods to reach a result. To achieve a result, the investigators will use theories and scientific facts and other available facts that will be helpful to reach a result that will be analyzed..

This study examines regional integration in Africa with a focus on the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, COMESA. COMESA, with roots that go back to the beginning of the 1980?s, is one of the largest and most diverse areas for regional integration in Africa and has currently 19 member countries. The goal of the COMESA co-operation is to become a fully integrated area by the year 2025 that will merge into the African Union (AU). AU will then, in turn, create a fully integrated African continent in a not too far away future.

Inom den regionala utvecklingen har ekonomisk tillväxt fått en allt större roll, fler och flerregioner arbetar efter att sträva en så hög ekonomiskt tillväxt som möjligt. Men i och meddetta så skapas en geografiskt differentierad utveckling där de områden som genererar tillväxtanses har starka utvecklingsmöjligheter medan de områden som inte alls genererar likamycket riskerar att hamna efter och bli outvecklade. Detta är något som kan ses i Värmlanddär Karlstadsregionen utvecklas medan de svagare delarna av länet, så somlandsbygdsområdena inte alls har lika stort fokus på sig inom det regionalautvecklingsarbetet. En lösning på detta kan vara att arbeta fram en inkluderande tillväxt därdet inte bara handlar om de ekonomiska värden utan även inkluderar sociala faktorer.Syftet med min studie är därför att lyfta fram och belysa frågor som rör inkluderande tillväxtpå regional nivå med Värmland som fallstudie. Syftet är även att undersöka hur en merinkluderad tillväxt kan arbetas in den regionala kontexten, samt se hur det regionalaperspektivet och utvecklingsarbetet i Värmland kan påverkas av detta.

Uppsatsen har utförts i samarbete med Onninen AB i Karlskoga. Företaget är verksamt påelnätsmarknaden och bedriver en kundlagerverksamhet där kund får möjlighet till ett egetlager i sitt närområde. Dessa lager äger Onninen och kund betalar en månadsavgift och en visslagerränta för att ha tillgång till dem. Kundlagren innebär en del extra hantering och medfören del merkostnader för Onninen. I min studie försöker jag undersöka vad kostnaden förOnninen är att bedriva denna logistiskt skräddarsydda verksamhet.

This thesis investigates the 200 year old phenomena of savings banks and if they increase the economic growth (GDP) in the local region they act in. That is being done by testing three hypotheses; the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the region they act in; the savings banks increase the entrepreneurship in the region they act in; and the savings banks increase the economic growth in region they act in. This quantitative cross-sectional study with data from the year 2010, finds that the savings banks increase the attractiveness of the local region, most likely through the efforts and financials they put into different local projects. A positive result is also found for increased entrepreneurship in the regions that have a local savings bank. The result is explained by the savings banks relationship lending, which increase the likeliness for a company to get the credit they need to start and develop.
