"Var och en sin egen lyckas smed" : En undersökning av skivbolagens framtida roll i musikindustrin

This study has the purpose of looking at the current and future position of Record labels from a context involving the technological developments, while the opportunities for the artists are changing. As the actors inside them music industry find themselves in an ever changing climate where traditional supply chains are threatened by new technology, the Record labels need to change the way they work in order to maintain their existence in the music industry. The study has been conducted by interviewing a number of people involved in the music industry, by using a qualitative method approach. The conclusion of the study shows that the traditional way of doing business by treating music as a product that makes revenue is gone. Instead the labels have to take on new roles formerly run by third parties in order to survive and be profitable, especially since artists can now in control of activities that used to be controlled by the Record label..

Personal branding: artister som varumärken

The purpose of this thesis was to study the importance of an artist?s personal brand from a Record company and artist management perspective. We also aimed to investigate how these companies work to create and maintain an artist?s personal brand. The study conducted was a case study based on interviews with staff members of a major Record company, Universal Music AB, and an artist management, United Stage Management Group AB.

Gerd Enequists personarkiv

The Swedish geographer Gerd Enequist (1903-1989) left behind great amounts of private and work material when she passed away. This was donated to the University Library of Uppsala, Carolina Rediviva, in three different accessions. This resulted in three different Record. The subject of this report is the progress of assembling these Record into one complete Record.The registering led to many important decisions such as the role of provenance and the relation of private and public documents. Svenska independentbolag i Japan: etablering och kulturella skillnader

The purpose of this thesis is to study how Swedish independent Record labels, or indie labels, fared on the Japanese market. The research questions were based on how Swedish independent Record labels establish themselves on the Japanese market and how the cultural differences between the nations affect the business relationship. It was decided to execute a case study on two Swedish independent Record labels and the Swedish export council for music. The ones chosen as study objects were B & B Records, Razzia Records and Export Music Sweden. The conclusions were that the indie labels need to understand the importance of personal business relationships when trying to get established on the Japanese market.

This thesis aims to explore the process where strategies for music artists are created by Record companies. We describe and analyze how decisions regarding signing, distribution, marketing, bookings and co-operations are made. Through our study we find that the strategy process can be described as a pattern according to Mintzberg's definition. The "inside-out" perspective is dominating and the Record companies base their strategies on internal core competencies and the artistry and will of the music artist. Förekomst och lokalisation av gingivala retraktioner hos patinter mellan 20-29 år som behandlas på Tandhygienistprogrammet i Kristianstad

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to examine the prevalence and the location as well as the registration of gingival recessions among patients between 20-29 years of age, who are treated on the Dental Hygienist Programme at the University of Kristianstad. The study was performed as a Recording study, where the first page of the base Record paper was examined. We examined 295 base Records. The result showed that gingival recessions only were registered on 3 % (n=10). Most of the injuries, 53 % (n=157), had been registered as toothbrush trauma.
