Kunskap i biologi hos invandrarelever : En undersökning på en grundskola i Västra Götaland

The main purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge in biology by immigrant Pupils. My investigation is based on the Pupil and I have focused on positive and negative factors that affect their performance in biology.The study is based on marks in year 2006/2007, a survey and interviews made with four immigrant Pupils at a compulsory school in Västra Götaland.The study indicates that the result in biology of immigrant Pupils is lower compared to Swedish.Difficulties in language, the commitments by their parents and their surroundings are the main factors that affect their results negative..

This paper is about teachers ?attitudes towards their Pupils, both today and in the past. It describes various events with Adam, Elsa and Kajsa which I have observed at my preschool. Via a retrospective analysis I have attempted to understand how teachers ?views of their Pupils has changed from the beginning of the century to the present day.

Yngre barns argumentation : En studie om hur pedagoger och elever uppfattar argumentationens betydelse på lågstadiet

One of the main goals of the national curriculum is to encourage children?s personal opinion and support them in development of argumentation ability and communication skills. All this is very important for the children as members of the future society.The purpose of this essay is to investigate how primary school teachers estimate the meaning of the Pupil?s argumentation as well as which methods and approaches are assumed by the teachers to be most appropriate for children?s argumentation development. The study also considers the questions how the teachers motivate their Pupil has to argue in the classroom and how the students by themselves understand the concept of argumentation.

Arbetet innehåller en undersökning av hur elever inom grundskola och gymnasieskola vill visa dessa. I undersökningen framkommer att de flesta av gymnasieeleverna helst vill ha små delprov. Eleverna på högstadiet har inte en lika bestämd uppfattning och många av dem vill ha muntliga prov och hemprov.

There is a settled stereotype for women and men which give them different possibilities in our society. The schools, which are one of the most important sources of knowledge, have a great possibility to influence. This is the reason why we are interested in how the schools are working with a project, which we will call X henceforth. What was the purpose with the project and what does it contain? What is missing in the former education, since the project was started? Are there any obstacles or prerequisite in the design of the project or in the school teaching on the basis of X? We have done interviews in the gathering of empirical material to find out all the answers to our questions.

The aim with this study is to illustrate the underlying causes of students? difficulties in Mathematics from a teacher perspective. The approach that has been used through this study is qualitative, method wise interviews were used. The selection for the study consists of five teachers with many years? experience in the subject of Mathematics.

In this paper I have examined how aware teachers are of their influence on Pupils development. The method I´ve used are interviews with three teachers and one Pupil each aboutMusicality - how do the teachers and Pupils look at the concept musicality generally and personally?Influence I- do the teachers believe that their thinking about musicality influence the Pupils self-confidence and development?Influence II- do the teachers think that other pedagogues have influenced them in their teaching and thinking?My main results show that both the teachers and the Pupils have similar apprehensions as their teachers, which points towards that influence can exist. The basis is however too limited to make any extensive generalizations.The conclusion of the paper is that we have to be aware of how we influence our Pupils. They carry this ?knowledge?, whether it is positive or negative, all their life..

AbstractWhat do the Pupils really learn in school? What do the Pupils know before they begin schooland what knowledge do they have when they graduate form 5 and should have achieved thegoals? I chose to interview some Pupils in the end of nursery school and some Pupils in theend of form 5. To limit myself I chose the subject space, because I think most Pupils thinkthat space is an interesting subject. The result of my examination was that Pupils in nurseryschool have many different thoughts and previous knowledge about space, often on the basisof what they have seen themselves, and that some of the Pupils in form 5 have some moredeveloped knowledge while some Pupils still got the skill as a nursery school Pupil. Myexamination shows that some Pupils have learned surprisingly little, bearing in mind that theyhave been in school for five years..

The purpose of the study is to get a deeper understanding in how the teachers work withthe students during the pedagogic meal. This by observing teachers during the schoollunchand see which pedagogic activities takes place. The paper intends to investigatehow teachers relate to, and act according to the guidelines that are applicable to theeducational meal by both the Swedish government and the schools.The study was conducted with the help of observations studies in two elementaryschools. "Bråk pågår" Om konflikthantering i en årskurs fem

Abstract The goal of the study was to conduct an in-depth investigation of how conflicts are resolved in schools, from a Pupil- and a teacher perspective. Our intention was to view and compare Pupils and teachers different opinions in the school environment. A major focus was put on different ways teacher handle conflicts and how they try to prevent them. The material was acquired by interviews with both teachers and Pupils. The study is based on Jean Piagets and Lev Vygotskijs visions about the cognitive developmental stage for children. The result of the study shows the teachers need to be attentive and also that the Pupils generally do not notice when the teacher works to prevent conflicts.

Sjukgymnastik i skolan - behövs det?: en kvalitativ studie

The aim of this study was to investigate physical education teachers (PET) view of the needs of physiotherapy in compulsory school. Semi structured interviews were conducted with five PET. The study was carried out as a qualitative content analyse study. The interviews were coded in categories independently by the two authors. The categories were then brought together in four major categories: PET work situation, Pupil health, physiotherapy and cooperation.

Fyra lärares föreställningar om oordning i klassrummet : en studie om lärares förväntningar och elevers behov och motivation

The purpose of this study was to examine how four teachers with different teaching experiences treat and think about insubordination in school. The study emphasizes on questions like: When and why does disorder occur? How do the teachers manage disorderly conduct in the classroom? and Could there be a conflict between the teacher?s expectations and management, and the needs and motivation of the Pupil?    It was evident through interviews with these four teachers that their statements could be divided into similar themes which subsequently could be put into the motivational structure of Abraham H. Maslow.       The conclusion of the study was that teachers may possibly have a better chance of managing disorder in their classroom if they are aware of the connection between disorderly conduct and a person?s needs and motivation. .

Med datorn i fokus : Nio lärares tankar kring IKT i skolundervisningen

One of the essential needs of human beings is to be involved in a social context. The intention of this study was to see if the opportunity to have an iPod Touch, could make it possible for students with literacy difficulties to participate in the regular classes and if the implementation of iPod Touch in the school setting would result in informal learning outside the school. In this case study two Pupils with literacy difficulties have been using an iPod Touch in their daily school activity. The Pupils as well as their teachers have been interviewed about their experiences of implementing iPod Touch as a tool in the regular classroom teatching. The results indicate that iPod Touch can help students to be in inclusive education and that they use the iPod Touch outside school.
