The project is a thesis which intends to strengthen the form language and increase the user friendliness of an International Moth. This is a single handed dinghy with only one sail. It sails on two hydrofoils and receives a very high speed compared to its size, and are therefore often referred to as ?the Formula One on water ?. The result is a new concept where the aerodynamic forces have been used to stabilize the boat and relieve the hydrofoils.

Innehållet i denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete som har utförts våren 1998 åt Kiruna Softcenter AB. Arbetets syfte är att ge exempel på hur datanätverk kan presenteras lägesriktigt m h a GIS (Geografiska Informations System) och vilka fördelar detta medför. Arbetet genomfördes i två faser. Den första fasen innehöll en förundersökning om vad det finns för tidigare erfarenheter inom området vad gäller nyttan att redovisa ledningsinformation m h a GIS. Den andra fasen, målet med arbetet, var att utveckla en GIS-applikation som visar hur olika datornätverk sträcker sig i olika byggnader eller städer.

Syftet med en här uppsatsen var att undersöka vilka egenskaper hos spelfilmer som komvuxelever uppskattar mest, undersöka möjliga förklaringar, samt se hur läraren kan utnyttja detta. Jag har använt mig av en kvantitativ metod i form av enkätundersökningar som bedrivits i fem klasser på ett komvux i södra Sverige. Jag har utgått ifrån fyra teorier i min analys: Psykoanalys, semiotik, kognitivism och feministisk teori. Resultatet som jag kom fram till var att de flesta eleverna föredrog de lite mer lättillgängliga hollywoodfilmerna, som de var mer bekanta med. Det rådde små och få skillnader mellan män och kvinnors uppfattningar av spelfilmsavsnitten.

Due to a globalised world business travel is flourishing. This paper examines how middle level executives, travelling a lot in their work at a multi-national company, feel about their travel. It looks for links between business travel and work satisfaction among them. A short presentation of the patterns of business travel and relevant motivational and stress theories is given. Data for the paper is collected using a survey (78 participants) and interviews.

The EU-project HEALTHGRAIN has suggested a new definition for whole grain which allows a small part of the grain to be removed during processing. By removing the outer part or the grain the hygienic quality will increase but it is not clear how the taste and colour is affected. So therefore in this study three different debranning methods, peeling, pearling and polishing, which remove the outer parts of the grains have been used on common and durum wheat. The dietary fibre and ash content, as well as germination was analysed in untreated, peeled, pearled and polished grains. The decrease in dietary fibre and ash was higher in grains that had been pearled compared to those that had been peeled or polished.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att presentera hur två av de mest frekvent använda läroböckerna i matematik förhåller sig till den grafritande räknaren som ett hjälpmedel i lärprocessen? För att göra detta har vi, utifrån olika metoder för textanalys, beskrivit böckernas innehåll. Vidare visar vi att den grafritande räknaren är ett medierande redskap i lärprocessen och frågar oss därför hur de analyserade böckerna förhåller sig till detta. Vårt resultat är därmed delvis en presentation av böckernas innehåll men även en diskussion där innehållet ställs mot teorier kring artefaktens betydelse för lärandet. Vi visar att de analyserade böckerna skiljer sig i sitt förhållningssätt till den grafritande räknaren som ett medierande redskap..

I takt med Försvarsmaktens ökade engagemang internationellt och det faktum att alla insatsförband inom Försvarsmakten ska kunna verka på alla konfliktnivåer och i en urban miljö kommer nya krav och behov på bekämpningsförmågan att uppstå avseende precisionsbekämpning.Med hjälp av ett GIS kopplat till EOI:et vid en insats i en urban miljö kan en rad vinster erhållas för att stödja artilleriet vad avser precisionsbekämpning. Distrilux International AB, a company within the Electrolux-group, works among other things with storing of products from other companies in the Electrolux-group. This rapport contains a cost analysis of the two Distrilux warehouses in Motala and Mariestad. The company offers five services in these warehouses, in-loading of products from a local factory and from external factories, storing, out-loading of products to Sweden (domestic) and for export. Since there has been some hesitation of the accuracy of the price-model of today, a master's thesis has been advertised. The purpose of the thesis has been to investigate the agreement of the price-model of today and the apportionment of the costing in warehouses.The main problem is to determine which activities is to be considered important in the price-model.

Detta examensarbete ger en introduktion till området systemutveckling. Kravhantering har i alla tider varit en viktig del i systemutveckling. För att kunna lyckas med kravhanteringen under ett systemutvecklingsprojekt är det viktigt att använda sig av rätt teknik. En teknik som finns för att kunna hantera de krav som ställs på ett system är Use Case som härstammar från UML. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att ta reda på de för och nackdelar som har upplevts av användare som har arbetat med Use Case i samband med kravhantering.

 This thesis aims to through certain parts of the brand equity investigate the trust of consumers for a brand that recently experienced a product-harm crisis. It also wants to investigate why this trust exist, if it does. Structured interviews were carried out at 60 respondents in Uppsala. The results show that the respondents have positive associations with ICA, they think that ICA maintains a high quality on their products and services and that 50% more often choose to do their grocery shopping at ICA. The conclusion of the study is that ICA has a strong brand equity resulting in brand trust from consumers, which is founded in the brand reliability and brand intentions of the company. .

This is a bachelor thesis, written at the business studies institute, Uppsala Unviersity, exploring how digitalization has affected the Swedish book industry. This is done by studying how the introduction of the e-book has changed the way the publishers work and what problems and opportunities arise with the new way to publish and consume books. The technology optimists, that existed around the turn of the millennium, when the e-book came, made predictions along the lines of the physical book having ceased to exist within five to ten years. But the physical paper books do very much still exist, so haven?t the change happened as predicted? The purpose of this thesis is as follows: How has introduction of the e-book affected the relationship between the Swedish publishers and the book as a whole? This means that we consider the book as a concept, as a resource or product, and study how a change in this product affect publishers.The theoretical framework used is basically classical network theory.

Visualization plays a key role in the concept of Lean. Lean was developed in Japan as a business philosophy in order to lead to an activity, where only steps that contribute to customer value of the final product are being performed. By defining the customer value and establish visualized standards, it is possible to see when situations differ from the standard. Then it?s possible to lead the process back on track.
