This dissertation discusses head librarians in Swedish public libraries and the stress factors which affect them. The aim is to map out potential stress factors which head librarians come across in their day-to-day work. The purpose of the dissertation is to answer the following question: what stress factors affect library managers in Swedish public libraries? The dissertation was conducted through a literature study, informal interviews and a quantitative questionnaire. The results of the quantitative questionnaires show that the factor that produces the highest level of stress is having too many different tasks.

Companies in the apparel industry are becoming increasingly responsible with regards to the social and environmental issues related to textile production. Despite these tendencies, there are great insecurities surrounding the concept of CSR and the effects on consumers of CSR communication. There is currently no model for breaking the concept of CSR down into smaller elements, specific for the apparel industry. In the first part of this thesis, we create such a model, applicable in a consumer communication context. In the second part, we investigate the effects on consumer attitudes and intentions of communicating the different elements of CSR presented in the model.

Resultat från epidemiologiska studier har antytt att flavonolrik kakao sänker blodtrycket. Detta sker troligen genom att flavonoider i kakao leder till aktivering av eNOS som sedan katalyserar NO-syntesen i kärlendotel vilket leder till vasodilation och sänkt blodtryck. En nyare studie har funnit att kakao dessutom inhiberar enzymet ACE. Mycket tyder även på att NO-koncentrationen är kopplad till ACE-aktiviteten då dessa faktorer visat sig följa varandra inverst vid varierande doser. Det finns också ett samband mellan ACE-genotyp och serumnivåer av ACE.

Bakgrund: Sjukskrivningsstatistiken för nack- och ryggsmärta är hög både i Sverige och andra västländer. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om personer som har statiska och eller stillasittande arbeten eller utför tunga lyft upplever att de känner mindre smärta i rygg och nacke efter att de deltagit i ett styrketräningsprogram jämfört med hur de kände sig innan träningen startade. Metod: Vi använde oss av kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem deltagare. Vi valde kvalitativ metod för att deltagarna skulle få berätta om sina upplevelser med egna ord och tala fritt kring ämnet.Resultat: Nästan alla deltagarna upplevde positiva effekter av styrketräningen såsom minskad smärta och mer ork. Diskussion: En del deltagare märkte skillnad i minskad smärta väldigt snabbt. Anmärkningsvärt var också att nästan alla dessa unga deltagare i studien hade upplevt rygg- och nacksmärta.

In school, pupils learn to critically relate to sources of various texts. In the course of time they also learn how to make references and cite properly. Yet, alarming reports show increasing cheating and plagiarism in colleges and universities. Plagiarism prevention services are used today in Swedish high schools. We are questioning how this relates to the sociocultural perspective and curriculum view of imitation as a natural part of the learning process, communication and language.Material from depth interviews, with four teachers in the school subject Swedish about their theoretical and practical approach to students' writing process and writing development are used to deal with the issues of this thesis.

As consumers we want to know from whom we buy, what we buy and the impact the company has on our planet. In recent years there been an increasing number of scandals concerning child labour, dangerous chemicals and falsely labelled meat. A good way for companies to communicate their environmental efforts is to establish a sustainability report, where they describe their work and their impact on our environment. By concentrating on H&M?s sustainability report, as well as conducting a rhetorical analysis, we have been able to focus on the following research questions:  ? Why do companies establish CSR reports? ? How do companies gain legitimacy through their rhetorical choices? ? How do companies try to influence recipients? attitudes to the company? We begin by studying the context, which is of importance when using a rhetorical method and thereby attempt to understand in what situation the text is created.

Suicidology deals a lot with taking into consideration significant symptoms, risk factors and establishing causal relationships which inevitably are very important for suicide prevention. But do we understand the suicide attempters better thereby? The aim with the study is to elucidate the meaning of the lived suicidal experience that is expressed by participants on an Internet forum. Ten participants' texts which concerned own suicidality were chosen out from this Internet forum and were analyzed and interpreted on the basis of a phenomenological hermeneutical method inspired by Ricoeur (1976). The result established twelve themes that with the aid of Heidegger (1993) and Derrida (1978, 1991) led to that the following conclusions could be drawn about the meaning of the suicidal lifeworld: suicidal concern and care in itself reduces the sense of identity, practical suicidal doing in itself reduces the world, sense of identity is more affected by the future than the present and the past, the death is escaped from through a calculating determination to have the death at one's disposal, inability to turn away from the death increases oscillating between states of emotions, the surrounding world's requirement to avoiding death becomes to a compulsion to isolate one self; and finally: to both feel anxiety in front of one self's own death and dread when escaping from it..

Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera lärares upplevelser av socialt arbete med fokus på barn i utsatta livssituationer. Följande frågeställningar har formulerats; Hur ser lärare på sin roll i arbetet med elever i utsatta livssituationer eller livsmiljöer? Vilket utrymme upplever lärare att dessa frågor får och har i skolan? Vilka framgångsfaktorer och hinder upplever lärare i sitt arbete med elever i utsatta lägen? Studien bygger på en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer som metod. Elva lärare har intervjuats om sina upplevelser av sitt arbete. Lärarnas berättelser om deras upplevelser av arbetet handlar om komplexitet i arbetet med förväntningar från olika håll, relationsskapande, stöd av kollegor och medarbetare, tidsbrist, otillräckliga resurser, krav på att eleverna ska ha full måluppfyllelse, krävande eller oengagerade vårdnadshavare, skillnader mellan skolor och stadsdelar, gränssättning, prioriteringar och ett tidskrävande dokumentationsarbete.

Bakgrund: Det blir allt vanligare med suicid och risken att utsättas för en patients suicid är något vårdpersonal inte kan bortse från. Enligt Nationellt centrum för suicidforskning och prevention av psykisk ohälsa, begicks 1523 suicid år 2012. Flertalet suicid kännetecknas av kaos och förtvivlan och för de som suiciderar ter sig handlingen rationell då deras tankebanor låst sig. Då suicid sker plötsligt, är det viktigt både bland anhöriga och vårdpersonal att få hjälp med att bearbeta incidensen Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa vårdpersonals upplevelser efter patients suicid. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie som består av 12 vetenskapliga artiklar med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansatser.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate enantioselective analytical methods by separation of the enantiomers of four drugs (citalopram, zopiclone, tramadol and methylphenidate) and their metabolites. The analyses were performed with HPLC-UV with columns whose stationary phases were based on macrocyclic glycopeptides (Chirobiotic V, V2 and T) and polysaccharides (Lux Cellulose-1, Cellulose-2 and Amylose-2).The Chirobiotic V column showed high selectivity for citalopram and its metabolites. High resolution was obtained using a mobile phase consisting of methanol, acetic acid and ammonia. High selectivity for the enantiomers of zopiclone and its metabolites were obtained on the Cellulose-2 column using a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and ammonium acetate buffer.The enantiomers of tramadol were separated with the Amylose-2 column. However, changes in the pressure arose, probably caused by the additive NH4HCO3.

The purpose of this work is to design and construct a device able to measure the mechanical attrition of oxygen carrier particles. Those particles are used in chemical looping combustion and in the present situation there is a lack of knowledge in how the attrition process work and in which extension. To find already tested solutions trying to answering this problem a literature study wascarried out and the best solution found was the so called Grace-Davison Jet-Cup method. This method is supposed to emulate the attrition caused by a cyclone separator and its advantages are that it is possible to use small test amounts, 5-10 g, and a thirty minutes long test will be enough to acquire useable results. An device was designed based on the Jet-Cup method with some slight modifications.

The purpose with this report is to investigate the link between people at work and creativity.It was necessary to delimitate the area and decide which sources to be investigated and presented in the report. The main topic is on sources of creativity, but as more organizations seem to introduce efficiency thinking according to Börnfelt (2009), the interaction between efficiency and creativity is also presented.In this report theory is compared to industrial designers? opinions on creativity.
