The aim of this paper is to study the long-term effects of stuttering treatment according to the Lidcombe Program in Sweden and to answer questions whether underlying factors may have affected the treatment results. Participants were seven children, one girl and six boys aged 7:10-14:2, who all completed Stage 1 of the program approximately 2-7 years ago.The children were video recorded during a conversation with one of the authors and while reading aloud. Before the recording, their parents estimated the level of stuttering according to a Severity Range (SR) Scale. The evaluations were used as reference for determining whether the recordings were representative for the children´s current speech fluency. Proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) were calculated from the video recorded material and compared with the proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) at the time when the first stage of the program was initiated.The results showed that the Lidcombe Program had a significant (z=-2.37, p=0.02) long term effect on stuttering treatment for the participants in this study.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka eventuella skillnader, i matematikbetyg samt matematisk och allmän självuppfattning, mellan flickor respektive pojkar och mellan elever som väljer studie- respektive yrkesförberedande program på gymnasiet. I studien deltog 174 elever från sju klasser i årskurs 9 från två utvalda skolor, en på en mindre ort och en på en större, båda med närliggande storstad. Eleverna svarade på frågor om betyg och självuppfattning genom en enkät. Huvudresultaten i studien har visat att flickor har lägre självuppfattning än pojkar i matematik och att elever som väljer yrkesförberedande program har ett genomsnittligt lägre värde i självuppfattning än elever som väljer studieförberedande program till gymnasiet. Studien kunde inte påvisa någon större könsskillnad i matematikbetyget för samtliga elever men däremot att pojkar har högre betyg än flickor bland dem som valt studieförberedande program och att det motsatta gäller för elever som valt yrkesförberedande program.

Essän utgår från den praktiska klokheten, ett av Aristoteles kunskapsbegrepp. Den praktiska klokheten finns i sättet att vara och i sättet att kommunicera. Det behövs lyhördhet, uppmärksamhet och känslomässig begåvning för att vara praktisk klok. Genom att söka och beskriva det lika, det olika och det unika jämför jag ledarskapet för en mångkulturell arbetsgrupp i en stockholmsnära kommun med ledarskapet i en landsortskommun. Jag beskriver och diskuterar ett medskapande ledarskap samt behovet av att ibland tillämpa ett mer auktoritärt ledarskap.

Elevers ogiltiga frånvaro från yrkesförberedande program på gymnasiet - Varför skolkar elever?.

Scania intends to introduce a new maintenance program for their rolling fleet. Withthis new program Scania hopes to increase their competiveness and add furthercustomer value. This thesis report is a mapping of the current maintenance program,along with its problematic features. Furthermore the report intends to describe thenew program, Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and the problems that Scaniamust deal with before they can implement it.The report compiles basic information on how a mapping should be performed.Further on it will describe some of the theories of LEAN and leadership. Which aretwo of the most important features in this thesis work.The work has been performed through visits in different workshops, whereinterviews have taken place.

Genom en teoretisk studie kombinerad med praktikbaserad empiri ifrån mitt praktiska arbete redogör jag i denna text för rekvisita som aktör och dess roll inom teater. Med de litterära undersökningarna inom naturalism och Tjechov-tradition och de praktiska erfarenheterna av att arbeta med rekvisita försöker jag ta fasta på vad rekvisita är och hur det används och har använts tidigare i Tjechovs pjäser..

Chronic valvular disease (CVD) is the most common cardiac disease in dogs, which account for 75% of all the cardiac cases. Cavalier King Charles spaniel (CKCS) is the most affected breed and it´s 13th times more likely that a CKCS, between the age of 7-10 years, will die or be euthanized for cardiac disease, compared with other breeds. The prevalence has been proven to bee independent of coat color and weight but highly dependent on age and gender in CKCS. In 2001 the Swedish Kennelclub and the Special club for cavalier King Charles spaniel created a breeding program against CVD in CKCS. In this program dogs are not allowed to breed until 4 years of age and have to have a heart auscultation without murmurs.

This work of investigation was to report how four study counsellors see upon the facts regarding the amount of admission, the students social surroundings and local designs for the Individual program (IV) at upper secondary school. Through interviews with four professionals set to guide the students at four different schools in the rural districts of Boden, Luleå, Piteå and Skellefteå, this has become a paper that describes how they see these young adults today. Different handicaps and diagnosis, troubles at home, pregnancy and even drug abuse tend to make you wonder how they possibly can get through school at all. Regarding local development within the program there are no strings of what to do but for every district to deside for themselves and this has led to different ?experiments? with students not mentaly fit for school at all.

This study has focused on obesity prevention efforts in schools in the United States of America. The study was conducted in two states, Oklahoma and New Hampshire. In New Hampshire, the study was focused on more minor efforts which were the "CSHP", HEAL, Early Sprout, FIT, AFHY, 5210, and Kids CATCH Club. In Oklahoma, the focus on the study was on the program It's All About Kids.Method: Unstructured interviews and observation, analysis from an national policy document. A total of seventeen interviews conducted, seven of them in New Hampshire and ten in Oklahoma.

This master?s thesis report is a summary of the analysis performed together with ITAB Shop Concept located in Jönköping, Sweden. As a last element of the Master?s program at the School of Engineering, this 20 point level D thesis project has been the final work to bring my education to an end.ITAB Shop Concept expressed an aspiration that the Shop Counter Program B10/B11 should undergo an analysis to point out and possibly lead to improvement.Through interviews and data collection proposals for possible improvements has been drawn up and the analysis points out current deficiencies. By following the idea generation, proposals to solutions for every individual problem is presented.

Detta examensarbete handlar om hur man kan försöka stärka elevers uppfattning om begreppens betydelse och praktiska användning inom matematik. För att genomföra denna undersökning valde vi att arbeta med geometri. Genom teoretiska diskussioner och praktiska övningar behandlades begreppen omkrets och area av olika geometriska figurer. Den tidigare forskningen visar att det är viktigt att läraren tar hänsyn till elevens förkunskaper och sedan utgår från dessa. I vår undersökning har vi velat få eleverna att sätta ord på sina tankar och ventilera eventuella problem så att vi tillsammans kan lösa dem, därigenom ska en ökad förståelse i matematik uppstå.

Syfte med detta arbete är att skapa förståelse för gymnasieskolans utbildningsinnehåll på Hotell och Restaurangprogrammet respektive Livsmedelsprogrammet i relation till arbetslivets utveckling och utbildningsbehov. Genom en kartläggning av berörda branschers uppfattning om elevernas utbildningsbehov vill vi undersöka om det finns behov av att utveckla nytt specialutformat program med inriktning mot ?Butik och Cateringkock?. Metod Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie, där vi gjort intervjuer med berörda branscher. Där söker vi svar på frågan om utbildningsinnehållet på gymnasieskolans ?Hotell och Restaurang program? och ?Livsmedelsprogram? motsvarar arbetslivets utveckling och framtida krav på utbildningsbehov. Resultat Resultatet inleds med en övergripande introduktion som handlar om förändrade mattrender och livsstilar i dagens samhälle.

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of knowledge and the view of learner which are prominent in the ministry memorandum Specific programs and access to vocational programs (U2009/5552/G) and thereby understand the potential impact of the new transformation of the current individual program and what it brings to the students who do not achieve the objectives in grade 9. We have used a qualitative text analysis method. The background to the study describes in particular today's individual program, view of knowledge and view of learner. The result shows that the most prominent in the memorandum is that knowledge is divided into theory and practice, that individualization is the focus and the text shows freedom for interpretation..

Dagens arbetsmarknad har ständigt höjt sina krav, vilket medfört att det har blivit högre krav på utbildning, särskilt till utsatta barn. Min empiriska undersökning handlar om faktorer som påverkar ungdomar att gå på gymnasieskolans individuella program. Undersökningens syfte har varit att ta reda på vilka faktorer som påverkar ungdomar att gå på individuella program och hur medvetna elever är om orsaker som har påverkat deras val att börja på IV-Tema. Mina frågeställningar är: vilka orsaker ligger bakom att elever går på individuella programmet? Vilka är elevernas individuella skäl till att gå på individuella programmet? Min undersökning är byggd på kvalitativ data och jag har gjort nio semistrukturerade intervjuer med en studie- och yrkesvägledare, en kurator och en lärarassistent samt med 6 elever på individuella programmet.
