Detta examensarbete handlar ?Verklighetstrogen Effektskomposition?. Målet med arbetet är att undersöka och utnyttja alla de olika aspekterna som gör att en film med specialeffekter känns så verklighetstrogen som möjligt. Arbetet handlar om de olika delarna i en filmproduktionsfas så som pre-production,production och post-production. Filmen som skapas är en specialeffektsbaserad hemmavideo som har som syfte att vara så chockande som möjligt i förhållande till vad man förväntar sig när man börjar kolla.

This Masters thesis concerns difficulties experienced by Gender Studies researchers in an information seeking context. The aim is to identify, and study the cause of, these potential difficulties by asking the following questions: How do researchers in Gender Studies seek information? What difficulties may arise when information seeking is carried out in Gender Studies? What may be the cause of these difficulties? What does Gender Studies consist of? In order to find feasible answers to these questions, particular attention is paid to the context in which the researchers exist and work. The database KVINNSAM serves as an example of how libraries have tried to overcome barriers in information seeking in Gender Studies. The method used is a qualitative one based on interviews and literature studies.

Att ständigt vara tillgänglig och hantera inkommande e-post under en arbetsdag kan skapaupplevelse av stress. Syftet med studien var att se om skattningen av stressen minskade om enprocedur som liknar traditionell postmottagning tillämpades. Studien genomfördes som ettexperiment på en IT-avdelning. Deltagarna delades upp i en kontrollgrupp som arbetade somvanligt med sin e-post och en försöksgrupp som arbetade enligt instruktion. Studien pågickunder 8 veckor och stressmätning genomfördes vid tre tillfällen, innan start av experimentet,efter 4 veckor och efter ytterligare 4 veckor.

Mammary gland neoplasia is one of the most common diseases in the bitch and the most common neoplastic disease. More than 13 % of the female dog population in Sweden suffers from mammary tumors during their lifetime. The disease can affect bitches in all ages but most often middle aged and older dogs. Some breeds such as Poodle and English Setter are predisposed for the disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate if it is possible to improve the post surgical healing process by using a pressure pad.

The aim was to describe the experiences of couples where the male partner had undergone radical prostatectomy due to prostate cancer. Furthermore, the study explored how the operation had affected their sexual life, whether the couples had received enough post surgical support and information concerning these issues, and to describe the kind of support and information these couples desired. Twenty men and ten partners participated. All the men experienced a varying degree of post surgical erectile dysfunction and only five men had received support concerning their sexual life. Eleven men desired professional visiting support activities.

”Fan fiction writing”, or the writing of stories based upon a popular entertainment franchise, has become a topic of academic discussion. Fan fiction writers have waked the ire of movie producers, since they often write fiction that is in direct contradiction to the movie’s plot or spirit. While most academic studies on fan fiction have concentrated on his confrontational aspect of the writers’ psyches, we have found that the writers actually have a much more nuanced approach to their work, and are not necessarily hostile towards the directors and producers. Even more surprising is the fact that the internet, beyond giving the writers a forum to post their writings, has potentially had a transformative impact on how the writers interact with each other and with the outside world. .

The aim of this paper is to perform a comparative study between France and Sweden analyzing the veil debate that took place in 2003 and 2004. This debate has been one of the central features of the renewed conflict between the West and Islam post 9/11, and has the presumed oppression of the Muslim veil in focus. With help of critical theory and a differentiated citizenship theory, including gender and post-colonial perspectives, I analyse the veil in a Western context in the arguments presented and the actions taken. Through that I try to distinguish the potential problems posed for the Muslim minorities living in the two countries.Three main areas are covered: the different political actions in the two countries, the consequences for this sidestep in liberal citizenship theory and in what way the view on equality splits the two parties. I conclude: that the French secularism and the Swedish equality have played key roles; the ideal of liberal citizenship is being abandoned for a more partial state; and the view of the veil as simply oppressive is part of a colonial heritage that can be challenged..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att få en bild av på vilket sätt informations- och kommunikationsteknologier (IKT) används och hur dessa teknologier stödjer studenternas samarbete på distans. Vi har genomfört en fallstudie på Luleå tekniska universitetet på avdelningen för Systemvetenskap. Denna studie utfördes från ett användarperspektiv. Resultatet av undersökningen visar bland annat att de flesta studenter föredrar att arbeta med uppgifterna självständigt. När studenterna samarbetar väljer de ett kooperativt sätt framför ett kollaborativt.

The main focus of this study was to investigate how Swedish military veterans experience that events during an international service affect them after completed mission. This also includes the contact with their relatives. Secondly, this study deals with the course of the crisis, personal defense mechanisms, cumulative stress and post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).The study was performed using a qualitative method and comprises individual interviews with six Swedish veterans. The responders were all men of different military positions, who participated in one or more international missions during 1993 to 2011.The results of this study show that, according to the veterans, the return back home is the most strenuous part of an international mission. With all the new experiences that an international service brings fresh in their memories, it is hard to re-adjust to the life of a civilian.In connection with the return back home, different degrees of stress reactions were also commonly seen, for example sleep disturbance, restlessness and exhaustion.

Organisationer idag använder ofta flera olika kommunikationskanaler vilket underlättar kommunikationen, eller gör det verkligen det? Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera hur personal på olika nivåer i en organisation upplever kommunikationen i den egna organisationen samt att identifiera möjliga förbättringar av denna kommunikation.  Följande frågeställningar ställdes för att kunna besvara studiens syfte; Hur upplever medarbetare, mellanchefer och personalchefen att e-post och intranät som kommunikationskanal inom organisationen fungerar idag? Hur upplever medarbetare, mellanchefer och personalchefen att den muntliga och direkta kommunikationen inom organisationen fungerar idag? Hur upplever medarbetare, mellanchefer och personalchefen att kommunikationskanalerna e-post, intranät samt muntlig och direkt kommunikation kan förbättras inom organisationen? Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ ansats i form av åtta intervjuer med en personalchef, tre mellanchefer och fyra medarbetare i en facklig organisation. Den här studien visar flera likvärdiga resultat som vid tidigare forskning. Personalen upplever att kommunikationen genom kommunikationskanalerna e-post, intranät samt muntlig och direkt kommunikation fungerar ganska bra/bra inom organisationen. I studien framkom att det är den muntliga och direkta kommunikationen som fungerar bäst inom organisationen.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera konstprojektet och bloggen ?Post A Secret? utifrån ett bekännelseperspektiv i allmänhet och ?Post A Secret? som en ny typ av bekännelse i synnerhet. Projektet baseras på att individer anonymt skriver ner en hemlighet på ett egenhändigt gjorda vykort och skickar in till skaparen Frank Warren som publicerar dem på hemsidan. Den tidigare forskningen behandlar två övergripande teman; bekännelse och Internet. Dessa får stort utrymme i uppsatsen på grund av att projektet är en kombination av flera olika medier och infallsvinklar och behöver förstås utifrån den kontext i vilket det konstrueras.

Sexual harassments have since long been an issue all over the world and schools have not been an exception. Reports from Swedish secondary schools show how 47% of the female pupils state that they have, sometime during their time in school, been the victim of sexual harassment. Other studies claim that pupils exposed to sexual harassments will develop low self-esteem and a decreased sense of self. The Swedish curriculum state that all children shall have the right to a harassment free school environment, but still many pupils claim to be exposed to sexual harassment in school. Several studies have theorized about why sexual harassment is so prevalent in schools but what do the pupils think? This study aims to reveal and analyze pupil opinions about sexual harassment; what do they think it is and why do they think it occurs? This will be done from a post-structural feminist point of view with focus on the shaping of identity among the respondents.

The communist party Khmer Rouge took over the power in Cambodia in 1975, and ruled the country until the beginning of 1979. During these years they attempted to create a completely new society, a true Khmer nation, which involved massive economic and social reorganisation and elimination of people which did not fit in the new ideal.Three decades has passed since the genocide, and the senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge will now be tried in the Khmer Rouge tribunal, which consists of both Cambodian and international judges and prosecutors. The integrity of those tribunal representatives will be crucial for the integrity of the tribunal as a whole and thus also for the outcome of the processes. It is hard to determine whether the purposes for demand of accountability will be satisfied, it is though clear that there are many obstacles in the way for an unproblematic and fair procedure..

Allt större och större andel företag väljer att presentera och förmedla varor och tjänster via e-handel. En viktig aspekt vid e-handel är att kunden känner förtroende för e-handelsapplikationen och företaget. Denna rapport redogör för vilken inverkan multimediala inslag har för förtroendet av en e-handelsapplikation, vid initialt användande. En undersökning har genomförts med hjälp av en kooperativ utvärdering av fyra e-handelsapplikationer vilka innehåller olika typer av multimediala inslag har.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att multimediala inslag inverkar positivt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer. Däremot finns indikationer på att för hög grad av multimedialt inslag inverkar negativt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer..

AbstractThis study examines the conclusions made by Roland Paris in his case study of fourteen major post-war reconstruction efforts following the end of the Cold War, and applies them to the current reconstruction process in post-war Iraq. Paris found a common denominator of the fourteen cases ? a belief that a rapid liberalization process, turning war-torn states into liberal market democracies, would foster sustainable peace. Paris calls this belief ?Wilsonianism? after Woodrow Wilson, who was one of the first advocates of it.
