Många äldre industriområden har genomgått en omvandling för att möta dagens behov, men samtidigt har platsernas själ och historia bevarats genom återanvändning av byggnaderna. Malmö befinner sig idag i en övergång från en stad som varit beroende av industrier till att utvecklas mot en kunskapsstad, vilket gör gamla industriområden aktuella för nya användningsområden. Eftersom Malmös invånarantal ständigt ökar, krävs det att mark inom staden utnyttjas för ny bebyggelse. Järnvägsverkstäderna i nordöstra Malmö är ett äldre industriområde från förra sekelskiftet som haft en betydande roll för staden, men med tiden har förutsättningarna ändrats. Förr dominerades de stora ytorna av järnvägstrafik och industrier som utnyttjade tågförbindelsen, men med tidens gång har platsens lokalisering blivit alltmer central och har idag goda utvecklingsmöjligheter. Genom att området har dominerats av järnvägstrafik för industrier kännetecknas området fortfarande av stora byggnader och rälsdragningar.

De offentliga rummen är de platser i staden som är tillgängliga för oss alla. Dess betydelse har varierat med åren. De har alltid varit betydande platser för maktuttryck från stat och kyrka men också platser där folket uttryckt sin vilja i demonstrationer och aktioner. Parkerna började dyka upp i Sverige under 1800-talet då städerna växte och borgarklassen fick mer resurser och fritid. De senaste årtiondena har våra offentliga miljöer många gånger fått komma i andra han i stadsplaneringen, fokus har länge legat på objekten och inte på vad som finns emellan dem. I Karlskrona har länge stora delar av staden varit stängda för allmänheten på grund av militären och det är också det militära som till stor del styrt stadsbyggandet.

Under senare år har förändringar i stadsmiljön ofta inneburit förnyelse av områden som tappat sin tidigare huvudfunktion. På många håll i Sverige skapas nya stadsdelar där det tidigare funnits industrier, varv eller traditionell hamnverksamhet. Handelshamnen i Karlskrona är ett hamnstråk på Trossös nordöstra sida där största delen av hamnverksamheten flyttat till annan plats och området står nu inför en stadsförnyelse. Huvudproblemet är att hamnen är isolerad från staden och den ursprungliga världsarvsklassade stadsplanen fullföljs inte i hamnen. Syftet med arbetet är att utveckla Handelshamnen till en attraktiv och levande del av staden, vilket kommer resultera i en illustrationsplan. Två olika trianguleringar har använts som bakgrund till illustrationsplanen.

This study aims to describe the conditions, of which some youths who live in a segregated area in Sweden, see as important for their development of an identity. The study have been conducted in a manner where we put the youths own words in focus. The youths are in charge of deciding what they regard as important for their own development of their own identity. In this study we assume certain contexts, of which we base the study. These contexts include the society, the urban districts, the school, the family, and the language.

Arbetet behandlar en tätorts utveckling i förhållande till en större stad och i anslutning till värdefull natur och jordbruksmark. Förhållandet mellan mindre orter och städer blir alltmer utsatt med tanke på det ökade pendlingsavståndet, högre krav på boendemiljö osv. Förhållandet mellan stad och land är därför en viktig del i utvecklingen av mindre orter och städer. Trönninge som är ett litet samhälle norr om Varberg har stor potential att växa eftersom det kan erbjuda ett lugnt boende nära natur och med ett cykelavstånd till Varberg centrum. Samhället har fina naturområden och en rik kulturhistoria men saknar ett livfullt centrum och en tydlig mötesplats. Varberg växer i en snabb takt vilket ökar intresset för att exploatera samhällen i närheten av staden.

My thesis is a combination of theory and practice, where theory is meant to create a context and a background for my interpretation proposal. I wanted to ?access? the ideas that are always in the background of the reasoning which underlies both planning in a larger scale, and the design of a place. I wanted to make a ?work of ideas.? In the process of shaping the proposal, I wanted to be deleted from the site itself.

The departure point of this thesis is the context of the institution and the processes surrounding the handling of personal archives at the National Library of Sweden. These processes are examined using Actor Network Theory. Around the personal archive a network is constructed and contained by actors ? the archive itself, the librarian, the conservator, the researcher, organizational structures and others. Within this network choices are made of what is significant.

The purpose of this degree project is to give an overview of the planning system of four Swedish forest companies. The involved companies are ATA TIMBER, SYDVED, BERGS SKOG and VIDA SKOG. The study is based on information from a literature study and by interviews with personals from the four companies. Each company is described to get a better insight of the companies work and what potential they have. The description of the planning process comes after that. The companies are described separate from each other and will be compared later in this essay.

För nyinflyttade och besökare styr stadens orienterbarhet vad vi upplever genom att stadens platser är olika lätta att hittat. Hur vi upplever staden påverkas av i vilken mån vi förstår dess uppbyggnad och känner oss välkomnade. Men även alla som länge bott i staden har glädje av att den är logiskt strukturerad. Om vi kan röra oss på ett effektivt sätt kan vi snabbare uträtta ärenden. En tydlig bild av omgivningen är en förutsättning för att ge hemstaden betydelse, och det är en grund för känslan av gemenskap och samhörighet i staden.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the contemporary educational tasks of the Swedish public library as they manifest in Swedish library journals. Our main question at issue is: Which educational discourses are there? And in relation to our main question: how do the concepts of information literacy, lifelong learning and adult education relate to each other? Is there an antagonism between the public library's duty to supply fiction as opposed to non-fiction? and: What are the consequences of these discourses in the service provided by the library?Our theoretical starting-point is the discourse theory as proposed by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. We analyse 39 texts from four Swedish library journals: Ikoner, bis, DIK-forum and Biblioteksbladet. The analysis is done in two phases.

Sammanfattning Landskrona kommun och stad växer. Inflyttningstakten har ökat stadigt och befolkningen i kommunen beräknas öka med cirka 3300 invånare till 2015. Det har under en tid byggts många nya enfamiljshus utanför Landskrona stad. I direkt anslutning till Landskrona har det börjat bli en brist på tillgänglig mark för nyexploateringar. När den nya järnvägsstationen anlades, lokaliserades den till den östra stadsgränsen och det är utifrån denna station som nya stadsbyggnads- planer har utgått. Detta kan fungera bra men innebär ett stort avstånd till Landskronas befintliga centrum. Ett område som fortfarande är intressant för nybyggnation är Väster industriområde. Detta är ett stort verksamhetsområde beläget direkt söder om Landskrona centrum. Med en effektivare funktionsindelning och omorganisation bör det vara möjligt att bebygga området med mellan 1000-2000 nya bostäder.

Thanks to I have got to explore different teaching ways around the problem solving in a year 3, in a multicultural school which is located south of Stockholm, I have been able to answer my question at issue in my degree work. My question at issue on this investigation and the purpose with my degree work was to explore different teaching ways that promotes pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish, to develop reading comprehension and to get a better understanding of mathematical concepts in problem solving tasks. On this investigation have I chosen to teach these pupils to explore, reach and gain a deeper understanding of what teaching about problem solving promotes these pupils. I have when it concerns choice of method and material collections assumed from a qualitative investigation and gathered the material with help from participation notices and interviews. I have in my investigation reached the conclusion that those pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish developed reading comprehension and got a better understanding of mathematical concepts in problem solving tasks by being taught in a creative and varied teaching. There are numerous questions to be asked when your task is to plan a small community?s future development. Is it possible to suggest something new and modern? What considerations should be taken concerning the existing situation? What is an appropriate size for the new development? Where is it possible to build and what is the most appropriate method to use?In this master´s thesis I have tried to develop and describe a working-process where I execute a complete landscape character analysis for the whole community in question to get the answers to where and how it would be most appropriate to develop a village like Flädie without destroying its current character.Flädie is a typical small village in the countryside of Skåne, Sweden. It is strongly effected by the expansive and urban region it?s located in but is still rural in character.

Our interest about interdisciplinary teaching has grown during our time at Högskolan Dalarna and especially during the subject physical education. It became clear that people learn in different ways. The theoretical education in school benefits the visual and auditory strong learners but the kinesthetic strong learners find it more difficult to absorb the information. We argue that integrating subjects is a good way to mix theory and practice and thus gives more students an opportunity to learn the content of the subject. The intention of this examination paper is to investigate the relationship between the attitudes of the teachers regarding interdisciplinary teaching, the practical restrains, possibilities and the presence of interdisciplinary teaching at three different schools.
