This Master's thesis in Library and Information Science aims to explore if personal patterns can be detected in web-searching. It is based on a study where the search sessions of nine test persons were video-recorded, transcribed into logs and analysed.A major objective was to find out whether there is a correlation between individual searchers' personal attributes and their web search behaviour. The logs were therefore compared with the test persons' results in a learning style test (Kolb's Learning Style Inventory) and with interview answers about information behaviour and personal background.While several patterns were indeed discovered, none of them turned out to be strictly personal. The nine test persons could be divided into five types of searchers: the purely analytic searcher; the generally analytic searcher; the balanced searcher; the mixed searcher and the browser. All types of searchers were found to have the attribute learning style in common.

My purpose with this essay is to examine the relationship between esthetic learning processes and language development to find good practices in my work with multilingual children. In my report, I describe a few activities from my work as a preschool pedagogue in a multicultural area, with a large group of children where age and knowledge of Swedish varies. The background to this essay is the problems I experienced in my work with children´s language development in an organization that, in my opinion, is limited by economic factors. The questions I poses are about the way esthetic learning processes can help children develop their language skills as well as their participation in preschool activities. I also pose the question whether there is a connection between the musical ear and children´s development of language.

The area around the stream Orsundaan, which runs trough the valley Harsbacksdalen, is famous for its beautiful landscape. The upper area of Orsundaan and Harsbacksdalen is situated just south of Heby in Uppland, Sweden. Even though the area is protected by different nature conservation acts, it is difficult to find any information about the geodiversity in the area. Geodiversity, or geological and geomorphological diversity, includes the concepts of geoprocesses and geoelements. Very high geodiversity could be seen at an inventory of the geomorphology in the upper area of Orsundaan and Harsbacksdalen.

This paper is a literature study on search engine optimization (SEO) considering the leader of the search engine market: Google. There´s an introductory background description of Google and its methods of  crawling the Internet and indexing the web pages, along with a brief review of the famous PageRank algorithm. The purpose of this paper is to describe the major important methods for improved rankings on Google´s result lists. These methods could be categorized as on-page methods tied to the website to be optimized or off-page methods that are external to the website such as link development. Furthermore the most common unethical methods are described, known as ?black hat?, which is the secondary purpose of the text.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att göra en kartläggning av kompetensen bland personal som arbetar med funktionshindrade barn och ungdomar i en vald kommuns LSS verksamhet. Hur ser personal på sin kompetens, på sina utvecklingsmöjligheter på arbetsplatsen och i yrket, hur de ser på sin nuvarande arbetssituation, samt hur deras tillgång till handledning ser ut. Med hjälp av en enkätundersökning har jag fått fram vilken grundutbildning personalen har, hur de upplever sina möjligheter att utvecklas inom vård och omsorgsyrket och vad som skulle behövas för att de ska få tillräckliga utvecklingsmöjligheter på sin nuvarande arbetsplats. Undersökningen visar också att personalen ser positivt på sin nuvarande arbetssituation. Samtidigt uppvisar resultatet att majoriteten av de tillfrågade att arbetslaget aldrig har fått handledning, trots att flertalet av dem någon gång har känt ett behov av detta.

Denna uppsats bygger på intervjuer med sju kvinnor som deltagit i ett utvecklingsprogram utformat för kvinnor med ambition att göra karriär. Företag bör satsa på anställdas karriärutveckling då det ökar individernas välmående och ger konkurrensfördelar. Syftet var att se vilka faktorer som bidrar till eller hindrar personlig utveckling samt se på vilket sätt utvecklingsprogrammet kan medverka till kvinnors personliga ledarskap och karriärutveckling. Frågeställningen löd: Upplever kvinnor att personligt ledarskap är ett bra verktyg för att utvecklas i sin karriär? Resultatet visade att kvinnorna genom utvecklingsprogrammet upplevde ökad kontroll över sina liv vilket hjälpt dem definiera och uppnå karriärmål.

Syftet med arbetet är att få en djupare förståelse för hur personal med utbildning inom beteendevetenskap tillämpar lek och vilken betydelse leken har i arbetet med barn i kris och sorg. Arbetets frågeställningar undersöker hur personal som i sitt yrke möter barn i kris och sorg använder lek som ett verktyg för att hjälpa barnet. Arbetet studerar även huruvida personalen anser att leken bidrar till barnets förståelse för det inträffade samt om personalen anser att leken påverkar barnets självbild och självkänsla. Arbetet tillämpar en kvalitativ metod och antar en hermeneutisk anstats för att förklara och förstå ämnet. Datan samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer.

Studien tittar på betydelsen av jordbruk för utveckling. Därefter fortsätter studien att titta på hur jordbrukets roll i Kambodja ser ut och finns det andra sätt som bättre lämpar sig för att Kambodja ska nå utveckling. Vi har lagt speciellt fokus på risodlingens roll som inkomst aktivitet. För att hitta svaren på frågorna tittar vi på två olika aspekter, economic development samt livelihood approaches. Economic development ser jordbrukets roll som en central del i utveckling av industri medan livelihood ser att det finns mer komplexa mönster i verkligheten att beakta för att utveckla ett land.

This essay covers the subject of children with language disorders. We are two educators writing an experience-based essay on our preschool experiences and the literature with the subject of speaking disorders and verbal development. The main focus of this essay is how educators can recognize and stimulate children with language disorder. The starting point in the essay is two experience-based events from preschool which tells of two different boys, aged three and four. Both boys have some kind of verbal disorder and one of them also has Down´s syndrome.

FlexRay is a new communication protocol which is fast, reliable and flexible and therefore can meet the increasing demands on data communication in the vehicle industry. The protocol is developed by an industrial consortium containing among  others BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Motorola and Phillips. Today (May 2009) Hägglunds is using CAN for data transmission in their systems. CAN is getting obsolete and has difficulties in coping with the increasing flow of communication. In this report FlexRay and its communication capacity is studied.

Bakgrund: Fysisk beröring är ett grundläggande behov hos människan och är en central del i omvårdnaden. Fysisk beröring kan lindra eller förhindra lidande och skapa förutsättningar för välbefinnande. I omvårdnaden skapar beröringen ett humant sätt mellan patient och personal att ta kontakt med varandra. Syftet: Hur patientens välbefinnande påverkas av fysisk beröring i omvårdnaden. Metod: Studien utfördes som en litteraturstudie baserad på sju vetenskapliga kvalitativa artiklar.

The aim of this Bachelor?s thesis is to find out what librarians think about the public libraries? collections. How do they want to develop their collection and what do they want the collection to offer society?Sanna Talja has developed a theory about different attitudes regarding collection development. These are named ?the general education repertoire?, ?the alternative repertoire? and ?the demand repertoire?.

The purpose of this study is to find out how some Swedish preschool teacher discussing how children's Swedish colloquial interaction can be enhanced in the free play. In this case where children are aged three to five.My research questions in the study are:-          What type of free play do preschool teachers talk about in relation to children's Swedish colloquial development?-          What do preschool teachers say about child's colloquial interaction?-           How do preschool teachers reason regarding in what environment children?s colloquial interaction occurs?In my study I have used an interview with elements of a visual method called The Diamond. The approach is that the participants in the interview will be enhanced to discussing about a wise certain number of images. These images are then to be ranked accordingly with a specific theme and terms.If a child has difficult to speak, you can take help of  the interest the child has, the child can tell you and the other children what he or she know about the interest.

This degree project is based on my personal relation and engagement to the small-scaled cultural landscape. My viewpoint is the village Torpa in Östergötland. My observations of the changes and development together with the stories of the village people has lead me to the questioning about the future prospects of the small-scaled cultural landscape. The rationalization of the society and our urban culture has lead to big changes in the cultural landscape and the people have reduced to a small crowd. Fewer and fewer hands are managing the small-scaled cultural landscape and fewer and fewer young people have connection to this kind of landscape and its management.

Sustainable development and sustainability is nowadays expected to be integratedin modern city planning and permeate the entire planning process. At the sametime, sustainable development has an inherent vagueness, leading to a greatdiversity of interpretations of the meaning of this concept. In this thesis strongsustainability and ecological modernization are used as two different interpretationsof sustainable development. Using these two interpretations, an analysis of thecurrent use of the concept of sustainability within the city planning of Malmö isperformed. The analysis shows that the interpretation of sustainable development inthe city of Malmö can be deduced to ecological modernization and thatsustainability is looked upon as one way to improve the attractiveness of the city.Investments to increase ecological and social sustainability must be legitimized asleading to a potential increase in economical sustainability (growth) and the focusof increasing the sustainability in the city has shifted from ecological aspects toeconomical aspects.
