It is based around a questionnaire aimed towards store managers and consequently used it to run regression analysis using the software package SPSS.Main results: The main result of the essay is that the motivation among store managers is positively related to the degree to which they absorb information. Thus, a possible problem exists for the corporation in that they need to make sure that the store managers are and stays motivated. Further, it seems that the longer a store manager has been employed by the corporation the less information is absorbed. This study examined some contradictive results in a report from the Swedish board of Integration. The contradiction was concerning the Swedish populations dismissive judgments of experience a shared ground of values between the Swedish society and those witch are generally held within Islam. These dismissive judgments were given at the same time as the population reported to have a lacking knowledge of Islam in general. To test for psychological aspects of these contradictions, the analysis was based on the theoretical ground of Social Identity Theory and Theory of Attributions. The study used an existing survey that examines people´s estimations of their own and other members of society´s fulfilling of democratic values.

The Swedish bank Handelsbanken has, according to their own way of measuring, been more successful than a weighted average of their competitors during the last 38 years. They have also handled the recent financial crisis, as well as the one in the 1990´s, better than most other banks. This paper studies their management control system at branch level in order to identify the controls which have been enforced to ensure that a low risk level is retained in the lending. The controls that have been identified are; (1) A decentralized organization with the offices as profit centers where the manager has restrictions regarding risk level and the results are measured as K/I (cost/revenue). (2) The absence of bonuses and individual follow-up regarding performance measurement.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the possibility of replacing data from highspeed filming (Qualisys motion capture) with data from Inertial Measurement Units (X-io technologies), when used to run a model of torso and pelvis in OpenSim. Qualisys motion capture data is used as the golden standard to validate the result visually and with Bland-Altman plots.In order to obtain comparable data experiments are conducted where both methods of collecting data are used simultaneously. Data from the IMU's then need to be processed in Matlab before it can be used to run the OpenSim modell. Several Matlab programs rotate the IMU data to a static reference frame, filter and integrate it, then create viritual markers that correspond to Qualisys' optical markers.The conclusion is that using IMU as a method for collecting data can replace Qualisys in some applications, but not in ones that require high precision. Cultural bias in health assessment has been asserted in various scientific reports. The aim of this study was to determine whether ethnicity effects how patients are represented in such medical certificates that are needed to obtain a certain Swedish social insurance. The setting was an analysis of 18 medical certificates for patients whose parents were born in Sweden, respectively of 18 medical certificates of patients whose parents immigrated to Sweden from non European countries. The main objective was comparison of the two groups to test for ethnical heteronormative representations of the patients and their parents. The method used is mainly based on critical discourse analysis in combination with Fowlers (1996) semantic tools used to decipher disparity in the discourse.

The swedish law against female genital mutilation (FGM) prohibits procedures that removes parts of the female genitalia and thereby makes permanent changes in the body. The problem with the wording of the law is that it may also apply to the western phenomenon cosmetic genital surgery. This paper therefore examines if cosmetic genital surgery should be covered by the swedish law against FGM, by making a critical comparing analysis. The paper begins with comparing FGM with cosmetic genital surgery to prove that there are more similarities than differences between the procedures. By using the theoretical perspectives universalism and postcolonialism, the paper then examines why, particularly in the West, there is a different approach to FGM than to cosmetic genital surgery, regardless of the similarities of the procedures.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att med utgångspunkt i en fokusgrupp identifiera ett personalvetarperspektiv på initiering av organisationsförändring och analysera detta i förhållande till en modell för organisationsförändring samt diskutera konsekvenserna av att inte ta hänsyn till detta perspektiv. Utgångspunkten var kvalitativ. Den valda metoden var en fokusgrupp. I fokusgruppen användes ett stimulus material i form av en fiktiv situation. Denna kompletterades sedan med uppföljande individuella intervjuer.

Många chefer väljer idag att dela på ledarskapet och tillhörande uppgifter. Orsakerna till varför chefer väljer att arbeta på detta sätt är många, men grundar sig ofta i att de är missnöjda med den rådande situationen i organisationen. Chefer är inte nöjda med sitt ledarskap och medarbetarna är inte nöjda med chefernas prestationer. Syftet med min uppsats är att utifrån en forskningsöversikt, analysera och reflektera över om de karaktäristiska dragen för ett gott ledarskap stämmer överrens med utfallet av delat ledarskap.Utifrån mitt arbete kan jag konstatera att ett parledarskap innehåller många av de faktorer som brukar känneteckna ett gott ledarskap. Det är dock svårt att generellt beskriva vad som är ett gott ledarskap och vilken ledningsform som passar bäst i alla organisationer.

VIDA Vislanda har ett behov av att veta hur effektiv produktionen är på deras nya hyvleri. Därför är arbetets syfte att undersöka stopptidslängder samt bakomliggande orsaker till stoppen på företaget. Det ingår även i arbetet att lämna förslag på åtgärder som kan leda till förbättringar i verksamhetsgrad samt reduktion av stopptid.VIDA Vislanda vill veta vilken verkningsgrad, verklig löpmeter ut och verkligt stycketal ut för varje enskild dimension och längd. Resultatet presenteras efter detta önskemål men den totala verkningsgraden för hela mätperioden har också beräknats, till 52 %. Om VIDA åtgärdar de största återkommande stopporsakrna enligt våra förbättringsförslag kommer stopporsakerna att minska och således verkningsgraden att öka..

Att drabbas av demens är idag den vanligaste sjukdomen bland äldre och innebär en fortskridande och permanent nedbrytning av hjärnans funktioner. Demens är en sjukdom som innefattar många kognitiva brister där minnesnedsättning är den allra vanligaste. En konsekvens av demens är även att det påverkar personens förmåga till kommunikation vilket gör det extra viktigt att som sjuksköterska anpassa sig till individens nivå. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa kommunikationsmöjligheter vid omvårdnaden av personer med demens. I studien ingick tolv artiklar och den metod som användes var systematisk litteraturstudie.

This exam report has been developed in association with Strangbetong AB, Sweden.The natural gravel that is being used as fine aggregate for concrete production today is an ending natural recourse and the Swedish government has decided to strongly reduce the extraction from the year of 2020. The only reasonable replacement is aggregates from crushed rocks but this material has other properties than natural aggregates. The concrete manufacturers now have to learn how to use these new fine aggregates in a cost effective way in order to ensure the quality of their concrete production.In this project, crushed aggregates and combination of crushed and natural aggregates have been tested with existing formulas for fresh concrete. The two parameters yield stress and plastic viscosity have been measured which gives a good description of the workability of the fresh concrete. Different methods to make measurements on the dry fine aggregates, has also been tested, to find out if there is any correlations between these parameters and the parameters from the measurement on the fresh concrete..

This thesis concerns partial discharges in stator windings and the possibility of analyzing data using statistical methods. Partial discharges, or PD, are a physical phenomenon in which discharges occur locally due to large electric fields. PD can occur in or adjacent to the insulation of stator windings and causes breakdown of the insulating materials. PD measurement can provide an idea of how widespread the PD activity is. A technique to measure and analyze PD that has become very popular over the last few decades is phase resolved PD patterns.

Data över arbetsproduktivitet och arbetslöshet för Sverige de senaste årtiondena ger skäl att på nytt undersöka om teknologisk utveckling leder till arbetslöshet genom att minska behovet av arbetskraft. Arbetsproduktivitetens lämplighet som mått på teknologisk utveckling diskuteras och den totala faktorproduktiviteten (TFP) bedöms vara mer passande. Ekonomisk teoribildning tillsammans med tidigare empiriska undersökningar på området används för att beskriva de mekanismer via vilka teknologisk utveckling kan tänkas påverka arbetslöshet på kort och lång sikt. Dessa mekanismer beskrivs med begreppen jobbförstörelse, jobbskapande och matchningseffektivitet. Mekanismerna undersöks genom grundläggande statistisk behandling av data för Sverige de senaste årtiondena, främst mellan åren 1994 och 2007.

The aim of this thesis is to, from a feminist point of view, analyse the Universal Decimal Classification UDC, which is an international and widely used classification system. A number of the larger classification systems and subject heading lists have during the last decades been placed in the limelight of various gender studies and the systems treatment of women has been criticized. With this examination of the UDC, I dont merely wish to identify shortcomings and advantages with the UDCs way to treat men and women. The UDC is also used as an example of how the gender problem can be identified and interpretated in classification systems generally. My analysis is performed with a theoretical foundation in feminist science theories about knowledge and norms, together with a linguistic perspective on valuing and emotionally tinged language.
