The work has been carried out in cooperation with the company Zenit Design in Malmö. The project's goal was to restore, improve and produce an ozone generator. During the project, the authors sought relevant literature in databases, been in contact with US suppliers of fuel cell membranes, Asian suppliers for the processing of Teflon and Titanium parts in mechanical engineering and Swedish suppliers of various standard components. The authors had access to a temporary lab at Zenit and electron microscope at Halmstad University where material tests were performed. The authors have also had access to measurement equipment to measure amounts of ozone.During the work, the authors have mapped how an existing ozone generator works and then have their own development.

Svenska är ett kvantitetsspråk där vokalernas längd kan vara betydelsebärande och förmågan att visuellt kunna diskriminera mellan vokalers längder kan vara en relevant komponent i talsignalen. I denna studie undersöktes hur visuell diskriminationskänslighet för vokalduration förehåller sig till läppavläsning.  Experimentbatteriet bestod av tre delar: visuell vokaldurationsdiskrimination (VDD), icke?lingvistisk durationsdiskrimination (ILDD) samt visuell ordidentifikation. VDD och ILDD baserades på en 2AFC?design där uppgiften var att bedöma vilket av två stimuli som presenterades under längst tid.

Debatten om matfett är ständigt aktuell och i stort sett dagligen så matas vi med olika aktörersåsikter om vilket fett som är att föredra. Ska vi äta omättat eller mättat fett? Vilket matfett ärdet mest hälsosamma? Fokus i denna studie har varit att synliggöra den professionellapedagogens förhållningssätt till matfett och vilka olika strategier som lärare i hem- ochkonsumentkunskap har använt sig av i sin undervisning relaterat till matfett. Studiens syftevar att synliggöra och analysera hem- och konsumentkunskapslärares skilda förhållningssättrelaterat till matfett i undervisningen med utgångspunkt i perspektiven hälsa, ekonomi ochmiljö. Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer samt observationer med lärare i hem- ochkonsumentkunskap på högstadiet.

The purpose of this MSc thesis is to examine the retrieval effectiveness of two Web search engines with queries from the academic discipline of Classical Studies. The two search engines are chosen to represent two different types Google as a broad general search engine and Argos as a specialised search engine for the subject of Classical Studies. The search engines are compared for precision among the first twenty results returned for thirty queries. In order to avoid bias in the study, the queries are based on real users' information needs. Due to the subjective character of the concept of relevance, the study is performed with five different experiments with five different definitions of relevance.

Bakgrunden till uppsatsen grundas i ett allmänintresse i hur organisationer som dagligen påverkar den enskilde medborgaren förändras. Efterhand blev vi mer intresserade av hur förändringen påverkat de som arbetar inom organisationen och hur deras möjlighet att påverka sin vardag har förändrats. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka och diskutera hur mellanchefer på Försäkringskassans handlingsutrymme har påverkats under och efter en organisationsförändring. Vi har, utöver att titta generellt på handlingsutrymme, även fokuserat på hur kommunikation och delaktighet upplevdes under samma period. Metoden som användes var av kvalitativ/konstruktionistisk karaktär, eftersom vår tanke med studien byggde på att förstå relationen mellan relativt komplexa, mångfacetterade och subjektiva begrepp.

The swedish law against female genital mutilation (FGM) prohibits procedures that removes parts of the female genitalia and thereby makes permanent changes in the body. The problem with the wording of the law is that it may also apply to the western phenomenon cosmetic genital surgery. This paper therefore examines if cosmetic genital surgery should be covered by the swedish law against FGM, by making a critical comparing analysis. The paper begins with comparing FGM with cosmetic genital surgery to prove that there are more similarities than differences between the procedures. By using the theoretical perspectives universalism and postcolonialism, the paper then examines why, particularly in the West, there is a different approach to FGM than to cosmetic genital surgery, regardless of the similarities of the procedures.

Examensarbetet var en utvärdering av en synkron trefas permanentmagnetmotor med utvändig rotor. Den är tänkt att ingå i ett batterimatat drivsystem för hjälputrustning på segelbåtar. Målen var att kartlägga prestandan i standardutförande samt att hitta de svaga punkterna i konstruktionen. Förslag på hur motorutförandet kan optimeras ska också läggas fram. Tester och mätningar gjordes i en testuppkoppling med växelriktare, motor och axelkopplad generator. Detta för att kunna få fram fler mätvärden på motorn.

Denna uppsats undersöker om avslappning och massage kan ha en positiv effekt på gymnasieelever. Undersökningen har som mål att ta reda på om det finns ett behov för avslappning och massage i gymnasieskolan. Undersökningen är av kvalitativ form där fokus ligger på intervjuer som sker både innan undersökningen start och efter undersökningens avslut. Under två veckors tid får en klass på en gymnasieskola avslappning och massage i femton minuter varje dag. Utifrån projektets material och en litteraturstudium som innehåller tidigare forskning kommer uppsatsen att diskutera vikten av avslappning och massage i vardagen samt hur den påverkar kroppen.

A pavement construction designed to cope with the different type of traffic loads; it is exposed to and at the same time it can resist the effect of the climate. A road structure consists of sub- and superstructure which is divided by a boundary known as terrace. During the construction of unbound layers (base course and sub-base course) in the superstructure, it is always ensured that the material meet the requirements for bearing capacity and the degree of compaction. These parameters are controlled by various laboratory tests and control methods. To obtain increased knowledge of the material and improve the quality of the compaction in the field, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests in order to determine material properties.A base course material 0/ 32 mm limestone from Gotland (Hejdeby) was investigated in this study.

I denna uppsats studeras betydelsen av regler och relationer på boendet Olympen,ett HVB för ensamkommande barn. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och vårtmaterial har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har intervjuat trepersoner ur personalgruppen och tre av ungdomarna som bor på Olympen.Ungdomarna är 15-17 år och har permanent uppehållstillstånd. Under vår studieav reglernas och relationernas betydelse har vi sett att de båda rymmer flera olikabetydelser. Vad gäller relationer har vi kunnat se positiva betydelser somstödjande, tillitsskapande och omhändertagande, men också negativa betydelsersom bekräftande av ensamhet och att bli illa behandlad.

Equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) it?s a clinical condition that includes obesity, regional adiposity, insulin resistance (IR) and laminitis. A similar syndrome exists in human medi-cine, the metabolic syndrome (MS), were systemic hypertension also is a prominent fea-ture. The systemic hypertension seen in humans with MS is partly due to a vascular endo-thelial dysfunction with an enhanced endothelin-1 (ET-1) mediated vasoconstriction. There are indications that systemic hypertension might be a feature in EMS as well but if ET-1 is involved in the development of the systemic hypertension in horses is not known.

Byggsektorn har fortfarande svårigheter med att hantera fuktproblematiken.  Vi har valt att fokusera på hanteringen av material i produktion. Den informationssamling vi utfört ligger till grund för vår analys och slutsats. Vi har intervjuat flera olika entreprenörer från byggbranschen för att ge oss en helhetssyn av fuktsäkerheten ute på byggarbetsplatserna. Studien påvisar att det råder brister både på beställar- och entreprenörssidan. Vi ser att det finns potential för förbättring när det så krävs.

HMS Networks AB develops, produces and sells communication technology for industrial automation. The product handles communication between a variety of protocols. The product treated in this project is an Anybus X-gateway Modbus-TCP Master/Client and this module is currently configured from a web-based interface. In doing so, the flexibility for handling protocols is limited to what the company chooses to add to the interface. Therefore the company had a request that the flexibility should be extended using a script language.

Aim: The aim of this study is to analyse the possible motives behind the actions of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council in relation to the conflict in Syria. The background of this aim is the Arab Spring and the protests and violence that have followed the uprising. While, in Libya, the UN Security Council adopted resolutions that allowed sanctions against the Libyan government, no such resolutions have been adopted yet in Syria.Theory: The principal theory of the analysis is Stephen D. Krasner´s theory on sovereignty.Method: I have researched various resolutions and statements done in the Security Council, together with official statements from the actors, through Hadenius´ motive analysis methodology and Gilje & Grimen and Ödmans theories on hermeneutics.Conclusion: The conclusion of the analysis is that there, in the case of Syria and Libya, are two different parties in the Security Council. One that stands for sovereignty and one that stands for intervention.

A number of studies in human medicine has documented positive effects of whole body vibration treatment in humans. The Vitafloor system, witch is based on treatment of horses with vibration, has the purpose to be used in training of healthy horses and as rehabilitation for horses with injuries in their musculosceletal system. The purpose of this study was to analyse what happens with a clinically healthy horse during treatment with Vitafloor. The methods used is mainly thermography before and after treatment, but also blood samples, measurement of rectal temperature, heart rate, clinical examination and observation of psychic reactions has been done. Statistic significant changes in skin temperature in hoofs and fetlocks of front legs has been observed after treatment with Vitafloor. Analyzing of the blood samples showed a tendency for decrease in Kalium, and two of the horses had changes in CK. No negative effect has been observed with the treatment of horses with Vitafloor, and the horses seems to like the treatment. .
