In this essay I have been writing about the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich. It was written at the Library School in Borås as a contribution to the struggle of the maintenance of the free word. In the essay I have been concentrating on how Reich was received in Sweden from the publication of his first book 1927 to the year of 2000. The work started with a biographical chapter and a chapter about Reich's scientific development, which was divided into three phases: one psychoanalytical and Marxist, one physiological and biological and a third phase that makes a synthesis of these in a cosmological form. The analytic material has been books and articles from periodicals and papers.

Objective: The aim of this work is to find out how a number of educators work when giving children support and opportunities for language development.Questions:What have preschool for policy to monitor/assess the children?s language development?What experiences do teachers have of children who need support in language development?How do educator?s regard support from specialised educator?s? Do these efforts support the children to enhance language development?Methods: Qualitative methodology, Interviews with six teachers and two specialised educators from three kindergartens in the municipality.Summary of conclusions: The municipality in which the survey was conducted has a document that provides guide lines on how to work with children?s language development in school and preschool. Pedagogical documentation is a tool that teachers use in nursery school which educators and parents can follow, which shows children?s learning processes and learn strategies. Research shows that through play, music, creative activities, photos, etc.

Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva vilka icke-farmakologiska behandlingar som kan användas vid oro hos personer med demens samt att beskriva vilken inverkan studerade icke-farmakologiska behandlingar hade på oro hos personer med demens. Vidare var syftet att kontrollera vilka datainsamlingsinstrument som användes vid mätning av oro i inkluderade studier samt om dessa testades i respektive studie gällande reliabilitet och validitet.Metod: Detta var en beskrivande litteraturstudie, litteratur eftersöktes i de vetenskapliga databaserna PubMed och Cinahl. 13 studier inkluderades, dessa omfattade fem olika icke-farmakologiska behandlingsmetoder. Författarna läste, översatte och sammanställde först enskilt de valda studierna för att främja ett objektivt förhållningssätt. Den metodologiska aspekten datainsamling kontrollerades i inkluderade vetenskapliga studier.Resultat: Det fanns varierande inverkan på orosnivån hos personer med demens av de icke-farmakologiska behandlingsmetoderna, musik-, arom-massage-, djurassisterad-, ljusterapi och Peacefull mind.Slutsats: Majoriteten av inkluderade icke-farmakologiska behandlingsmetoder minskade orosnivån hos personer med demens.

Föreliggande examensuppsats undersöker vilka möjliga betydelser och meningsinnebörder feministiska perspektiv kan ha för bedrivandet av psykoterapi. Utifrån en explorativ och förståelsegrundande ansats intervjuades 13 svenska behandlare med självidentifierade feministiska utgångspunkter om hur de ser på skärningsytorna mellan feminism och psykoterapi, sin yrkesroll, samt vilka konsekvenser deras feministiska perspektiv får i det praktiska behandlingsarbetet.Resultaten visar att feministisk terapi som begrepp framstår som i stort sett oetablerat i en svensk psykoterapeutisk kontext, att förhållandevis lite forskning på området tidigare är gjord, samt att intervjudeltagarna ofta framställer sammanjämkningen mellan feministiska och psykoterapeutiska diskurser som komplicerad. De medverkande beskriver sina feministiska utgångspunkter som en bakomliggande filosofi snarare än en uppsättning tekniker. Dessa omsätts i terapeutisk behandlingspraktik genom en problematisering av maktaspekter, ett uppmärksammande av strukturella faktorers inverkan på subjektivitetsskapandet, samt ett kritiskt och stundtals avståndstagande förhållningssätt till specifika delar av de gängse terapiparadigmen. Following essay examines the social and cultural patterns of southern rural Sweden between the years 1838-1845. The study is based on records from trials held by the district court of the district Norra Möre, which provides an insight to the everyday life in rural local community. Emphasis is put on exclusion and inclusion: the basis for community, codes for inclusion and exclusion, meaningful attributes, social and cultural capital etc. Questions concerning gender are raised as well as intents to discover whether modern ideas contrast early-modern, especially considering the process of individualization. Results show that concepts of confidence and trust were extremely valuable and possessed significant meanings.  Confidence, which established itself on virtuous and honest life, created the framework for most aspects of social society: for example credibility inside and outside of court, maintenance of friendship and company, capacity of upholding a working life. Forfeit of trust, through extensive dissolute, mischievous and ill-considered way of life meant exclusion from the community and great vulnerability.

The purpose of this study was to examine the controversy surrounding the Swedish methadone assisted rehabilitation program over time. Which course has the Swedish methadone assisted rehabilitation program, and the controversy surrounding it, taken since the start? Which arguments have been for and which have been against a methadone assisted rehabilitation program in Sweden, and what are these arguments based on? We chose to write this thesis as a literature study to get a broad and in depth picture of the development of the program in Sweden. In our analysis we used social constructionism and a medical aspect on substance abuse as theories.It is clear that it has been, and still are, differences in opinions when it comes to the effects of the program. As early as in the 1980's the methadone assisted rehabilitation program was scientifically proved effective and approved by the Swedish Board of Health and Social Affairs.

It is a common-held belief that the social worker for the most part uses oneself as a ?tool? in working with clients. This study seeks to examine that ?tool? in the context of treatment of teenage boys with psychosocial problems such as criminal behavior, drug-abuse and/or abusive home environment. The main purpose is to identify the conceptions of masculinity, and more specific hegemonic and subordinated masculinity, of the professionals working with the boys.

Our aim is to create a greater understanding for how Växjö Municipality is working with their vision, strategy and brand, and also how it is perceived by the business sector. This understanding will help us to highlight success factors and pitfalls that exist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a municipality?s identity, image and profile to convince the business sector to follow.Methodology: We have been using an abductive and qualitative research-method in which semi-structured interviews have been the basis of our empirical material. We had interviews with three employees, a communication manager and the mayor at Växjö Municipality as well as four organizations and two companies with sustainable focus. We did this to get different perspectives and thereby get a greater understanding.Analysis & conclusion: We have been able to identify both success factors and pitfalls in Växjö Municipality's strategic sustainability work.

The purpose of this study was to explore how interpersonal relationship can be affected by groing up in a New Religoius Movement such as Jehovah?s Withnesses and how it has affected them both in their youth and today. The aim was also to explore if there were people in the respondents' environment that was significant to them during their childhood and which support our respondents have received if they were in need of it.We have not found any previous research on children's social relationships within the Jehovah's Witnesses. We therefore believe that this study is of high relevance to both society and also for all the professionals who come into contact with these children. To discover a child in need, knowledge about how their social environment looks like is crucial.

This essay is a comparative research between pupils' experience of how the headmaster, teachers and other school staff interpret and apply the democratic education. The results are based on a survey carried out in senior high school, as well as interviews with the school staff. The democratic education charge has a long history of Swedish school system and is the basis for the maintenance of a democratic society. Both policy paper of state investigations and researchers in the field, regard to school as the primary and unique instance in order to promote and develop democratic skills in children and young people. However, it is shown that those who come out from school lack of knowledge and awareness of democracy and the will to speak their mind.

Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most common endocrinologic disorders among dogs. The disorder has a complex background, and successful treatment requires a well-functioning co-operation between pet owners and the veterinarian. The purpose of this study is to investigate the owners? perspective of diabetic treatments offered, and to estimate expected length of survival post-insulin therapy. The research findings are based on a survey mailed to 77 pet owners, whose dogs were diagnosed with diabetes between 1999 and 2003 at the small animal clinic of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The median survival for the dogs that underwent insulin treatment was 31 months, i.e.

För att göra syftet mer konkret och överskådligt lyftes följande frågeställningar fram:? Hur ser familjesystemets struktur ut, nu jämfört med före påbörjad behandling?? Har interaktionen förändrats mellan de olika systemen i familjen efter genomförd behandling?Studien grundar sig på en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där respondenterna utgjordes av en familj bestående av tre familjemedlemmar. Materialet har bearbetas utifrån en systematisk analys där relevant litteratur har kopplats till studiens huvudteman, struktur och interaktion. Resultaten visar att det skett en strukturell förändring i familjesystemet efter IFT- behandlingen, vilket samtliga respondenter uttrycker.

The aim of this bachelor-thesis is to study how the City Library in Norrköping, in collaboration with the outpatient centre, Gränden, has assisted people with substance abuse problems through a bibliotherapeutic reading circle known as, Människor mellan raderna (People between the lines). My theoretical framework is based upon Ruth M. Tews and Berth Danermark?s theories. Tew states that in order to create a well-functioning team consisting of various professional competences, each individual needs to possess certain character traits including the ability to contribute with their unique competence and an openness to receive and absorb the other participants? contributions.
