Vad var egentligen problemet? : en analys av SOU Framtidsvägen och ämnesplanen i historia

The aim of this study is to analyze how problems are represented within SOU 2008:27. Further more, the aim is to analyze how the new subject plan for history can bee seen as a product of this document. The method used, and the theoretical frame of the study, is based on Carol Lee Bacchi?s ?what´s the problem represented to be?? approach, which basic principle is that policies are filled with representations of problems and that these representations need to be examined. These problem representations are then themselves subject for scrutiny, the second step being an analysis of the texts presumptions and assumptions concerning view of man and Perception of knowledge. The results show, among other things, that a problem representations can be found in the SOU; the school system is too vague and unclear.

Demographic and political changes in developed counties have resulted in changed demands on the care of the elderly. The elderly are discharged from hospital earlier and this results a significant responsibility on the elderly themselves and their relatives. Often the relatives are engaged in the elderly?s health problems, care needs and the future consequences the current situation results in for the elderly and the domestic life.

The starting point for this master thesis was the product of the company "Humlegården", which allows its tenants in office buildings to follow their electricity consumption in real time, through their Smartphone's. The idea that resulted from that application is to investigate if it is possible to direct the tenants in office buildings to reduce their energy consumptions, but also to be satisfied with the indoor environment. This work addresses the factors which are the main energy consumers in office buildings. It addresses legal requirements and standards which are important to follow in order to achieve good thermal comfort in buildings. Some of them are physical climate factors like thermal environment, air quality and lightning.

Social isolering. En studie om a?siktspolarisering och normativ press i sociala medier

The purpose of this study was to look for tendencies that social media can contribute to exposing users to a stronger Perception of opinion polarization, and further to see if the daily presence of social networking sites can put normative pressure on the users. The study was made using a survey with participants from Umea? University during the time frame of november-december 2014. The theoretical framework behind the study was mainly drawn from The Spiral Of Silence by Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann and was further supplemented with more current research, studying the effects from The Spiral Of Silence in the modern and more fragmented media landscape that exists now then when her theory was written. Further theoretical tools for analysis of the results came from Michel Foucault and his discussions in Discipline and punish, specifically his views on how surveillance can be discontinous in practice, but still permanent in it?s effects.The results of this study indicates that social media users tend to isolate themselves from uncomfortable opinions, and do not follow or read opinions they do not already agree with.

Vad såg du? : En uppsats om produktplacering

I allt högre utsträckning väljer konsumenter att undvika TV-reklam som företag exponerar dem för, alternativet har således blivit att integrera produkter och varumärken i TV-serier för att göra den omöjligt för konsumenter att zappa bort. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka produktplacering i TV-serier och vilka faktorer i marknadskommunikationsprocessen, individers Perception och kognition som företag bör ta i beaktning när de använder sig av produktplacering för att exponera sitt varumärke.Genom att be ett antal respondenter se ett avsnitt av en svensk TV-serie och sedan besvara frågor relaterade till produktplacering och avsnittets innehåll, urskiljs de faktorer som ligger till grund för erinran av varumärken.Resultatet visar på att bruset i marknadskommunikationsprocessen inte påverkar respondenterna i den grad teorin beskriver och den enda faktorn där samband uppvisades rörde individens sinnesstämning. Dessutom fann vi att respondenterna uppmärksammade varumärken i högre utsträckning om dessa var integrerade i handlingen, verbalt exponerades samt om det exponeras både verbalt och visuellt. Det visades även att respondenternas intressen var korrelerade med vilka varumärken som uppfattades samt att varumärken som exponerades vid upprepade tillfällen lättare kunde urskiljas. Företag bör därför ta dessa undermedvetna faktorer i beaktning när de använder sig av produktplacering som marknadsföringsmedel..

Klickers ur ett studentperspektiv : Studenters uppfattning av klickers vid Uppsala universitet

Audience responese technology (ART) often called clickers are becoming more common, not only internationally but also at Swedish universities. No direct Swedish research has been identified, this is however a major area of research internationally. There is both research on clickers positive effect on study results and how students feel about using clickers. This study has taken a Swedish translated version of Cheesman, Winograd, and Wehrman?s (2010) survey to investigate how Perception of clickers differ between students in Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy and Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology.

Skogsbolagens syn på vindskadeförebyggande åtgärder efter stormen Dagmar

On the night of the 26th December 2011, large parts of southern Norrland were struck by the storm ?Dagmar? that caused serious damage to the forests. In the past 10 years wind damage has become a hot topic after several major storms. Forest companies own 25% of the Swedish forest and thus influenced largely by wind damage. The main purpose of this study was to examine whether forest companies attitude towards preventive wind damage actions were changed after the storm ?Dagmar?. The result was developed by doing interviews with two forestry companies.

Lyckat arbetsgivarvarumärke - för vem?

SammandragDenna uppsats ämnar studera huruvida yrkesidentitet påverkar Perception avarbetsgivarvarumärke och val av arbetsplats, en outforskad aspekt inom fältetarbetsgivarvarumärke som uppmärksammades efter genomgång av tidigare forskning.Tidigare studier fokuserar främst på exponering som den avgörande faktorn för ett attraktivtarbetsgivarvarumärke och forskningen i denna studie har haft som avsikt att undersöka omäven yrkesidentitet kan vara en av de mest avgörande faktorerna vid intresseskapande av ettföretag. Motiv för denna uppfattning fanns vid ett möte med ett av Sveriges störstanyhetsmedium, Dagens Nyheter (DN); ett välexponerat företag med ett mycket starktarbetsgivarvarumärke. Attraktionen i arbetsgivarvarumärket upplevs dock endast främst inomden specifika målgruppen journalister och redaktionspersonal vilket företaget observerat isvårigheten att rekrytera andra yrkeskategorier. Fokus hos företag mot en viss yrkeskategorikan te sig problematisk när företaget har behov av att anlita personal inom ett annat områdeän organisationens huvudsakliga. Detta dubbla ansikte i arbetsgivarvarumärket har varitutgångspunkten i uppsatsarbetet där DN-fenomenet visat att ett etableratarbetsgivarvarumärke inte alltid räcker för att attrahera och rekrytera personal.

For any animator either working in stop-motion or 3D-animation the knowledge of the first animation techniques are most important. For it is based on these principles that animation today can create such vibrant characters. With the extreme development 3D-animation has undergone the last twenty years it is easy to lose track of the old ways. But with this thesis a hope to show that it is these old ways that will take animation to its next stage. My aim with this thesis is to find out if it is possible to identify the characteristic features of stop-motion and apply these onto 3D-animation with purpose to create a more expressive style of animation.
