The report also presents possible solutions to prevent the occurrence of defects. It also covers the issue of how the client looks at Peabs way to overcome the objections of warranty inspections. Idag ses effektiv kommunikation som en tillgång inom organisationer som framgångsrikt har implementerat kommunikationsstrategier.Den här studien berör Peab, ett svenskt byggnadsföretag som har en stark marknadsposition som ett av de tre största i Sverige. Studien behandlar kommunikationen mellan tillvalshanterare och arbetsledare vid tillvalsprocessen i samband nyproduktion av bostäder. Problemet har bestått i att kartlägga hur kommunikationen ser ut mellan dessa och med syftet att ge förslag på vad som kan förbättras.

The foremost objective of business organizations is to generate value for shareholders and to opt for strategies which optimize it. Hence it is of key concern for business leaders to appreciate how operations best are run to maximize value creation. This study explores how financial theory can reveal the link between one particular business strategy and the corresponding effect on shareholder wealth. The question in focus is whether construction companies can enhance their value creation by implementing shift-work to increase the weekly production rate. The thesis particularly targets apartment block projects in Sweden and has the construction company Peab AB as primary object of study.

A persistent problem in the construction industry is its low margins of profit. It is often difficult to earn money due to low efficiency and high costs. Logistics on the construction site answers for a large amount of these costs and it is therefore of interest to find new, more efficient logistic solutions. The purpose of this thesis is to compare two different logistic systems and further to evaluate which one that is the most efficient and profitable. A comparison is made between the traditional logistic systems used for years and a new logistic system developed by an industry association called BEAst.

Informationsflödet i hela försörjningskedjan, som består av PEAB, Swerock och BASF, är bristfällig som enligt parterna leder till kapacitet- och ledtidsproblem i försörjningskedjan.SyfteSyftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka hur beställningsprocessen av betong ser ut i försörjningskedjan, samt att lokalisera vilka delar i processen som har förbättringspotential med avseende på information-, kapacitet- och ledtidsproblem. Även att undersöka vilken materialplaneringsmetod som är mest lämplig i försörjningskedjan under de nuvarande förutsättningarna och om någon förutsättning måste ändras för att en implementering ska vara genomförbar. Föreliggande rapport behandlar åsikter och inställningar om ackordslön på Peab AnläggningRegion Syd, Projekt/Infra. Synpunkter från hantverkare och tjänstemän har ställts motvarandra för att ge en objektiv bild av vad man anser om ackordslön.En förändring i anläggningsavtalet med SBAF, Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet, harmedfört att den nya huvudlöneformen för anläggare ska vara ackord. Därför görs dennaundersökning för att ansvariga på personalavdelningen på Peab Anläggning Region Syd,Projekt/Infra, ska få en inblick i hur de anställda, som är involverade i produktionsfasen,uppfattar ackordslön.Undersökningen har gjorts genom enkäter och intervjuer med ett antal frågor gällandeackordslön. Frågorna har ett brett spektra och behandlar såväl arbetsförhållanden somlöneuppfattningar. De som medverkat i undersökningen har varierande erfarenheter omackord.SBAF menar att ett prestationslönesystem som ackord är det mest rättvisande och utvecklandeför hantverkarna.

This report is on concrete work during the winter and is implemented on Peab?s behalf. The assignment was to describe the differences between a summer- and a winter casting. While it shows the complications that exists, it also show what aids are available, both electronic via computer and physical aids.The information that I have developed is originally from theory in books, information on the internet as well as practical experience from knowledgeable people that works in construction output. Other theories are those I have learned throughout the education to become a construction engineer, including all oral sources over the years.The results I have come up with, I hope will be able to help future construction projects in the planning phase of a winter casting.

Abstract This degree project examines how much carbon dioxide that emits during the construction phase of a road project. This is to make it possible to compare how the amount of carbon dioxide differentiates between traditional road construction and Swepave construction, which is PEAB?s alternative way to design roads. To make the comparison a calculation tool has been produced. To compare the amount of carbon dioxide emissions a reference project was needed.

Peab är ett av Sveriges största bygg- och anläggningsföretag. Division Väst är en del av Affärsområde Bygg och utför nybyggnationer och renoveringar i Västra Götaland och Värmland. Peab jobbar för att sänka byggkostnaderna för kunden genom kostnadseffektiviseringar i alla delar av byggprocessen. Som en del i detta arbete har företaget uppmärksammat inköpen. Idag saknar Peab en beräkningsmodell för totalkostnaden.

Passive houses are a relatively new concept in Sweden and by that it is meant a house without a traditional heating system. The most acknowledged passive house project is the terrace houses in Lindås, Gothenburg, which we have used as a reference. This project concerns a square apartment block. So far, no square apartment block has been built as a passive house in Sweden.The common opinion in the construction industry is that it is not economical to build extremely energy efficient houses. With Peab as commissioner our task was to investigate if that is true, if regarding the construction of a multi storey house as a passive houseMidroc, now owned by Peab, constructed in the block of Preussen in Jönköping during 2004-2005 four houses, with 132 apartments distributed on seven floors.
