The purpose of this paper is to study how people without home experience social services and how they experience their space of action when they meet social services. In order to answer these questions, a qualitative approach has been used. The empirical material consists of five interviews with people who have contact with social services because they are homeless. To support my analysis of the space of action for the persons being interviewed, I?ve used two theoretical perspectives, power analysis by Michel Foucault and Rational Choice.

De senaste 10-15 åren har behovet av avancerade vårdinsatser i hemmet alltjämt ökat och möjligheterna att vårda patienter med komplicerade sjukdomstillstånd har blivit mer möjliga. Detta har medfört att kraven på de såväl medicinska som de specifikt omvårdnadsmässiga åtgärderna har växt. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa ASIH- sjuksköterskors upplevelse av att vårda patienter i hemmet vid livets slut. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ och deskriptiv ansats.

BAKGRUND: Alkoholkonsumtionen i Sverige har stigit sedan 1900-talet. En förhöjd alkoholkonsumtion kan leda till både fysiska och psykiska skador. Sjuksköterskor möter dagligen patienter med alkoholmissbruk och denna patientkategori kan ha svårigheter att själva erkänna alkoholproblemen. SYFTE: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter med alkoholmissbruk. METOD: En litteraturöversikt, datamaterialet bestod av tio vetenskapliga artiklar varav fem kvalitativa och fem kvantitativa.

Kommunikationen har stor betydelse inom sjukvården och det är många faktorer som kan påverka kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Syftet med denna litteratur-baserade studie var att ur ett patientperspektiv belysa faktorer som har betydelse för kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterskor och vuxna patienter med kontinuerlig kontakt med vården på sjukhus eller äldreboende. Metoden har varit en strukturerad litteraturba-serad studie baserad på Fribergs (2006) sju steg. Resultatet av de nio vetenskapliga artik-larna visar att patienternas upplevelser av kommunikationen påverkas av faktorer relate-rade till sjuksköterskornas personlighet, sjuksköterskornas profession, den individuella patienten samt miljö och organisation. Många patienter var över lag nöjda med kommu-nikationen till sjuksköterskorna.

Introduction Postoperative wound infections leads to increased patient suffering and cost society money because it leads to longer hospital stays. Previous research shows that patient related risk factors such as smoking, diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), advanced age (>65 years) a low preoperative hemoglobin level (<140g/L) and a high BMI (> 30) increases the risk of suffering a postoperative wound infection. Aim To investigate whether patients that underwent surgery with Coronary artery Bypass Graft (CABG) in a university hospital in central Sweden in 2013 and had any of these risk factors more often suffer from post-operative wound infection.MethodThe study has a descriptive design and is based on an ongoing infection registration area of operations. The study included 148 patients out of 255 (58%) undergoing CABG in 2013. Possible risk factors were collected through medical record review.Results There was no significant correlation between surgical wound infection and patient-related risk factors such as smoking (not quit smoking four weeks before surgery), diabetes, COPD, advanced age (>65 years), low preoperative hemoglobin (<140g/L) or a high BMI (>30) and suffered a postoperative wound infection.Conclusion More research and a larger sample is needed in the field to produce a reliable result could be presented..

In my essay, I will start with a story that represents my dilemma from my own experience. In the story, dealing with children that challenges teachers and other children in preschool, I wonder how I as a teacher can be fair and inclusive when I feel insufficient on several occasions. I reflect on my own approach because it can be difficult when we encounter children with different needs and abilities in preschool.I write the essay in experience-based essay form. The essays form makes it possible for me to reflect on my own experience and by using selected theoretical perspectives processing my dilemma. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe the patient?s experience of the information given to them about the preoperative showers with hibiscrub. Method: Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, and content analysis was used to analys the data.

The aim of this study was to gain a better understanding and knowledge of how Cubans living in Sweden experience the Swedish pattern of communication in relation to the Cuban. The questions asked by the authors were: Do the Cubans experience any differences or similarities between the Swedish and the Cuban patterns of communication? If that is the case, what are they and how would they describe them? The questions were answered through a qualitative method, based on interviews with five Cubans who were raised in Cuba and are now living in Sweden. Communication Theory has constituted the fundamental theoretical tool of analysis, complemented by Social Psychological Role theory. The results of the study have been analyzed using both phenomenological and hermeneutical methods.

The main purpose of this essay is to study the role of documentation in Swedish health care today and the consequences of the augmentations in paper work that have taken place during the last couple of decades. The method used in this study is interviews with health care personnel.The following questions are treated:-       What kind of documentation has increased in Swedish health care?-       How is the patient/health care professionals affected?-       How is the work of the health care professionals affected?The conclusion of the essay is that the increasing amount of time spent on documentation that for much part has never been performed before, (such as risk analyses, statistics and writing much more thorough charts), has consequently left very little time for actual patient care.
