Riksteatern: Hur styrs folkrörelsen?

Riksteatern is a Swedish movement which was formed during the 1930s. The movement now consists of 230 local societies and had 545 000 visitors last year. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how a movement, mainly financed by the Swedish government, is run. To be able to understand this, the theories of Pierre Bourdieu are used together with organizational theories. The empirics are collected mainly by semi-structured interviews made with employees at Riksteatern.

Integration mellan system : En undersökning av olika framgångsfaktorer

This paper exposes the problems and challenges organizations face when integrating aged systems, web based systems and web services. The paper focuses on how people with different titles in an organization experience systems integration and the factors that contribute to project failure or success. The research methodology used in this is Grounded Theory and the resulting theory of this paper has taken form through the coding of transcribed interviews, which have gone through a constant comparing to other theories in the area of interest, mostly articles about success factors in system integration. The resulting outcome is a success model aimed to describe the underlying indicators to achieve project success.The success model consists of three factors that contribute to success in integration projects. The factors are: globalization, governance and balance.

To derive quality from quantity

The purpose of this master thesis is to present a model that illuminates the important factors when deriving technical information from market data within a company. For companies to be able to become and stay competitive in the market, product quality is an important factor. Whilst good product quality leads to customer satisfaction and loyalty, lack of quality brings costs in service and replacements. To improve product quality, the developers need information and knowledge about what quality issues affect existing products. Most companies gather data from market about known issues, but in order eliminate known quality issues in new products; this data has to be transformed into information and knowledge.

När Lean kom till Växjö kommun : Ett meningsskapande recept

Olika förändringsrecept har länge använts inom kommunal verksamhet i syfte att förändra och utveckla. Idag är Lean det recept som har blivit populärt inom kommunal verksamhet i Sverige. Lean i kommunal verksamhet är ett hittills relativt outforskat fenomen och för att öka kunskapen behövs fler empiriska studier i ämnet. Det saknas även forskning på hur medarbetare skapar mening i förändringsprocesser och därför finns det anledning att studera medarbetarnas upplevelser för att förstå hur de påverkas av ett recept som Lean.Studien har genomförts i syfte att, genom studier av medarbetarnas upplevelser, utveckla förståelsen för hur mening kan skapas kring Lean i kommunal verksamhet. Detta för att ge ett bidrag till den företagsekonomiska diskussionen kring Lean samt öka den empiriska kunskapen kring receptet i kommunal verksamhet.

Kollegialitet och individualism : en identitetskonflikt i revisorers vardag?

The research of organizational structure and control in the audit profession suggest that there is a contradiction in that auditors should both nurture collegialities while they at the same time have their own responsibility for their individual development and career. This creates a competitive situation among colleagues who in return are expected to maintain a good social relationship and team spirit with each individual. Subsequently, being part of the collegiality and being highly individualistic, gives rise to a theoretical dilemma where these opposing forces are supposed to coincide with each other.The purpose of this paper is to create a bigger understanding of how auditors at major accounting firms can handle the conflict that arises. In order to explore this dilemma, we conducted a qualitative study based on an abductive approach. We have made seven semi-structured interviews from a localistic view.

Att delta och förändra, trots kaos! - En studie om Försäkringskassans organisationsförändringar.

Earlier the regional social insurance office was exposed to critisism because of bad administration and a lack of providing public service. Among other things the regional social insurance office was attacked because of long investigation hours and indinstinct working methods and was blamed for not being able to solve the unhealth in the society. This lead to the reformation of the previous regional social insurance office into a government authority agency on the first of Januari, 2005. Extensive organizational changes were made so that regional social insurance office could handle the demands and become a uniform public administration. I have made a qualitative study where the purpose was to se how the changes affected the public administrators and I focused on their participation and willingness to change.

Organisering av arméns insatsorganisation : Är det operativa och taktiska skäl till att förbanden ser ut som de gör?

Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera och diskutera vad som legat till grund för organisering av arméns insatsförband insatsorganisations år 2009 (IO 09). Hur ser organisationsstrukturen ut och vilka faktorer har påverkat organiseringen av IO 09? Uppgiftens komplexitet innebar att jag närmade mig problemformuleringen från olika perspektiv. Studien omfattar därmed en mångsidig kvalitativ analys av data från både styrdokument och intervjuer.Studien visar att det framförallt är de klassiska ?byråkratiska teoretiska? perspektiven som dominerar organisationsdesignen inom arméns insatsorganisation 2009.

Hundra som mig : En studie i formandet av organisationsidentitet hos konsulter i bemanningsbranschen

Begreppet organisationsidentitet har vuxit i popularitet, både som teori för forskare och som strategi för företagsledning. Samtidigt ser vi en trend på den svenska arbetsmarknaden där det blir allt vanligare att hyra in arbetskraft istället för att anställa direkt i organisationen. Men vad händer med organisationsidentiteten när de anställda är tillfälligt där och dessutom har en dubbel organisationstillhörighet, både till konsultföretag och till kundföretag?Den här studien riktar in sig på konsulternas upplevelser av organisationsidentitet. Syftet är att bidra med kunskap till det teoretiska begreppet organisationsidentitet som tidigare inte har inkluderat tillfälliga medlemmar i en organisation, som till exempel konsulter i bemanningsbranschen.

Istället för att människor med konkurrerande ståndpunkter utbyter idéer och tankar med varandra samlas de i isolerade diskussionsforum på internet där social jämförelse i värsta fall kan utmynna i hattal och terrorism. Med netnografisk metod studeras här politiska diskussioner online i två olika typer av forum, ett politiskt och ett icke politiskt.

Rekryteringsstrategier inom marknadsföring och kommunikation : En kvalitativ studie avhur individer och organisationer hanterar sökandet efter medarbetare/arbetsgivare och hur rekryterare skapar matchning

This paper describes and analyzes how individuals and organizations that operate in careers in communications and marketing deal with the search for employees / employers, and how recruiting managers and recruitment consultants are working to create a match between the parties. The study was conducted on behalf of a recruitment agency that offers services in recruiting and staffing for organizations in communication and marketing. The empirical material consists of ten qualitative interviews from three different perspectives on the labor market, recruitment consultants, managers and employees. The interviews were analyzed from sociological and social psychological theories of organizations and individuals opportunities and strategies in today's western labor market. Conclusions that emerged are that organizations need for decreased amount of tied assets provides increased need for temporary employments.

Friskis&Svettis London : ? en studie i internationalisering, entreprenörskap och organisationskultur

This thesis aims at; describing and creating an understanding of how Friskis&Svettis internationalization process, at the start-up in England, can be seen as entrepreneurial, to describe and analyze how various cultural factors can be identified and the impact they have on the internationalization process. The empirical data were obtained through two interviews and it appears that both the organizational culture and national cultural differences can be identified and that these affected the process. The results show that the entrepreneur is both a starting point and a key driver of the process and because of this it can be considered entrepreneurial..
