The purpose with this essay was to analyse the view of parental leave in the public and private labour market. How does the economical compensation affect the parent's use of parental leave, with focus on the fathers "earmarked" months? Were there any differences in private companies and public organisations? We chose to look at past research and theories about father/men's usage of "60 day parental leave" from a point of gender and equality perspective. In regard to our questions we preformed qualitative, semi structural interviews. We picked people at random to interview at both private companies and public organisations that had or had not extra economical compensations except what the social insurance office paid during parental leave.

This report aims to identify and categorize suitable audit users and furthermore establish with values these users experience. The aim of the report has been fulfilled by analyzing interviews carried out with several companies using audits as a part of their risk management process. In this study we examine five selected media organisations with different forms of productionplatforms that all appear in Stockholm's southern and western suburbs, which are part of themillion-construction project. Their stated ambition is to present an alternative image of thesuburbs than that found in mainstream media. They want to portray themselves instead ofconstantly being described by others.The purpose of the study is to gain a better understanding of the reason for the emergenceof these media, their visions according to the media producers themselves, and how theyrelate to mainstream media. The study is based on a theoretical framework that focuses ondiverse approaches of alternative media and the journalists' role in a democratic society.The wide data analysis from qualitative informant interviews, with small observations as acomplement, showed results indicating criticism against the misrepresentation of Stockholmsuburbs in mainstream media. Furthermore the results show that the overall dissatisfaction ofthis misrepresentation is one of the main reasons why the different media, which are bothrepresented by citizens and journalists, were founded.

Since the 1970`s the Non Governmental Organisations, NGO:s, have taken an increasing responsibility in the development cooperation work. Apart from an increase in resources delivered through the NGO:s it is also obvious in various official documents that the idea of NGO:s in regards to; reaching and involving poor people in the work and as capable of delivering aid resources to a low cost, is very widely spread and commonly accepted among political decision makers and aid agencies. In addition it?s very seldom that those positive statements about the NGO:s abilities, are backed by any kind of scientific study. This study argues that the ascribed abilities are more the rhetoric of a political idea than an empirical reality.

Inertia is often described as an unavoidable state that organisations reach when they grow to a certain size. Theorists present a number of different phenomenons, which together create the foundation for inertia. This study deals with the apparent resistance that appears among the large Nordic betting companies with regards to establishment on the electronic sports (eSports) market. The analysis is based on how the old phenomenon inertia takes place in young and seemingly flexible industries. This area has received limited coverage in current theory on inertia.

Syfte:              Syftet Àr att öka förstÄelsen för hur organisations- och professionsidentifikation bland anstÀllda ter sig nÀr företaget Àr i kris samt att beskriva hur prestige kan relateras till identifikationen.Metodik:         En fallstudie pÄ SAS har anvÀnts som forskningsstrategi med en deduktiv ansats. Dataproduceringen har skett genom en kvalitativ metod dÀr flera strukturerade intervjuer med personer pÄ fallföretaget har genomförts.Slutsats:       Studien har visat tendenser till att organisationsidentifikation ökar under en kris medan professionsidentifikationen minskar nÀr det kommer till lÄgprestigeyrken i ett företag som attribueras med ett starkt varumÀrke. Vidare har studien Àven bekrÀftat relationen mellan prestige och identifikation, dÀr en hög prestige i regel leder till en hög identifikation, och dÀr anstÀllda tenderar att identifiera sig med det som har högst prestige. Slutligen har det uppmÀrksammats att vid en kris kan anstÀllda med en stark organisationsidentifikation försvara sin idealbild av företaget. En av studiens respondenter illustrerade detta genom att sÀga: ? Rör inte min baby!?..

The purpose of this thesis is to expose the political myth in the West about the ageing population seen as a threat against the welfare society. To do so I have described what a political myth is, and showed how it is presented in the most influential newspapers and organisations in the West. I have also presented alternative perspectives to the dominating view on the ageing population and it's impacts on welfare. In this way I have tried to point out that the subject has a political dimension. In the thesis last section I compare the message presented in the newspapers and the organisations with the characteristics of a political myth.

Riskhantering Àr en viktig del vid projektledning. Att kunna hantera risker medför att projekt kan styras mot dess mÄl pÄ ett effektivt sÀtt, med avseende pÄ resurser och tid. Det hÀr examensarbetet har skrivits hos Akademiska Hus Norr. Empirin i arbetet har samlats in genom en riskhanteringsprocess i projekt Lindellhallen. Detta har analyserats och ett förslag till rutiner utformats.

In addition, we have a hermeneuticperspective to build an understanding for the hard labour that is put in action byworkers in the football clubs only for the reasons of making relationships possibleand strengthening bonds by using social media tools. We have gathered theempirical information trough interviews with main leaders within chosenorganizations that use social media tools on an every day basis.

This thesis focuses on information seeking and use by volunteers and employees in women?s organisations helping women who have been subject to violence. These organisations for example provide help and support, legal assistance and temporary shelter. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with five women working in Terrafem, which is a women?s organisation directed towards women with a non-Swedish background.

This essay tries to explain how Swedish donor organisations are working with democracy in foreign aid. Three case studies of Sida, LO-TCO BistÄndsnÀmnd and RÀdda Barnen aims to give an overview of Swedish donor organisations, their work with democracy aid, evaluation and the problems with foreign aid. With Carothers theory of democracy aiding I analyse the success of Swedish democracy promotion, how civil society contributes to democratizaion and how democracy is measured.I find that Swedish democracy aid overall is successful due to a wider perspective of the term democracy. When democracy involves human rights it gives the donor a possibility to work with democracy promotion in a more extensive area and especially in the civil society. The essay stresses the importance of being subjective when evaluating and that one have to focus on the definition of democracy in each specific case.

Syfte: Syftet Àr att beskriva och analysera riskhantering av projektrisker och finansiella risker i infrastrukturprojektet Varbergstunneln under planeringsfasen dÀr tvÄ aktörer har studerats, Trafikverket och Varbergs kommunala verksamhet, och deras perspektiv pÄ riskhantering och hur dessa aktörers perspektiv skiljer sig Ät för att fÄ förstÄelse för hur olika typer av risker och aktörer riskhanterar utifrÄn deras perspektiv i ett infrastrukturprojekt.Bakgrund och problem: Trafikverkets uppgift Àr att se till att tÄgen kommer i tid, transporter sker sÄ sÀkert som möjligt och med minsta möjliga miljöpÄverkan. Tillsammans med andra aktörer ska de se till att den bÀsta möjliga samhÀllsnyttan skapas för pengarna. Detta Àr en av de största utmaningarna i Varbergs kommun dÀr den kommunala och den statliga planeringen mÄste gÄ hand i hand. Det finns stora risker kopplat till infrastrukturprojekt men det finns ocksÄ stor möjlighet till samhÀllsekonomisk lönsamhet.

This essay is about leadership in libraries within the academic world, i.e. leadership in research libraries. To place our survey in a context we begin the theoretical review with a chapter about organisation theory. We dont think its possible to separate the leader from the organisation so we wanted to describe the organisation and its effect on the leadership. The next theoretical section is about leadership research.
