This is a thesis in Personal- och Arbetslivsprogrammet at Dalarna University with thepurpose of evaluating an education initiative in Borlänge kommun. The educationCoaching Leadership is an initiative for the managers in the organization to exercisegood leadership and the education also serves as an incentive for managers. Eightbusiness managers and one from the HR staff have completed the training. Out of thetotal 9 participants in the training, six of them took part in this evaluation. Based on thethesis aim and questions we wanted to explore participants' attitudes to the education,and what skills and abilities they have acquired on the basis of educational goals andcontent.

The  change that has occurred during the past few decades concerning the development of electronic records, information technology and the constantly increasing quantity of information, have confronted the archival discipline with new challenges. In the digital world, the concept of ?record? has changed from representing something lasting and physical to something much more abstract and transient. The way to approach archival description has also changed, from focusing on the static preservation of archival records, to documenting the transactions of organisations, and to clarify operational processes. The discussion about the general purpose of the archival discipline, and its place in a changing world, has led to a new approach to archival description.

The purpose of this study was to find out what thoughts some preschool teachers had about gender andgender work. The aim was also to investigate whether preschool educational orientation had any impacton how teachers thought about gender and gender work.The scientific method for the study was qualitative research interviews. The interviews were conductedindividually with four preschool teachers from two different preschools. The first preschool was agender-oriented school and the other was a non-gender-oriented school.The results of the study show preschool teachers have good knowledge of gender and gender work andwhat they mean in preschool, and this is regardless of the pedagogical approach the preschool they?reworking for has.

This thesis paper is based on Ian Manners Normative Power Europe-theory with a focus on EU?s military operation in Somalia. By examining documents from EU institutions in the form of reports concerning EU NAVFOR ? Operation ATALANTA ? EUTM Somalia ? EUCAP NESTOR. This study shows that the Normative Power Europe-theory can get expressed and that the EU continues its normative statements in Somalia. This result is an interesting contribution to the theory of Normative Power Europe witch have gotten a lot of critic about how a military operation should effect and diminish the theory..

The purpose of this report was to increase knowledge regarding the co-operation between social services from the perspective of employees at a school. The focus was on the question: ?In the schools view, what is the relevance of co-operating with social services?? The problem was divided into three categories; the value of the co-operation, the schools discourse on co-operation and the balance of power in the co-operation. The scientific topic was addressed using a qualitative survey method at a school. Four people were interview; the principal, the welfare officer, and two teachers.

The municipality of Olofström is intensifying the co-operation with Sölvesborg and Karlshamn, the two other municipalities in the west of Blekinge. They co-operate in two local federations and for the moment negotiations are going on about a third local federation in continuation school, but the municipalities do not agree. The aim of this thesis is to examine why Olofström co-operate with Sölvesborg and Karlshamn, if there are any problems and where the limit of this co-operation is. The method in the thesis is qualitative interviews with local politicians and officials and an actor-structure-perspective is used. The result shows that Olofström is a municipality where the population is decreasing, and it has lost state subsidy during the last decade.

Syftet med studien är att studera outplacementprocessen hos en verksamhet iGöteborg. Avsikten är att se hur outplacementprocessen går till och hur denna påverkar deltagarnas chanser till ny sysselsättning.Den teoretiska referensramen vi har använt oss av berör olika aspekter kring begreppet anställningsbarhet och har delats in efter uppsatsens olika teman; coaching, nätverk, personlig marknadsföring och externa och praktiska faktorer. Då vår studie rör individer i en outplacementprocess har vi valt att använda oss av anställningsbarhetsteorier på individnivå.Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ studie med en abduktiv ansats och det empiriska resultatet baseras på semistrukturerade intervjuer med det aktuella företagets fyra outplacementkonsulter, tre av deras deltagare och enbeställare.Studiens resultat visar att outplacementprocessen innehåller flera olikaverktyg för att stötta och hjälpa deltagarna i riktning mot ny sysselsättning. De övergripande områden vi har identifierat som viktiga för processen är coaching, nätverkande, personlig marknadsföring och anpassning efterexterna och praktiska faktorer. Det underlag som har framkommit i vårt empiriska material i kombination med vår teoretiska referensram visar tydligt på att outplacementprocessen har positiva effekter för deltagarnas möjligheter till ny sysselsättning..

Modelica is a multi-domain and equation-based modeling language. Modelica is based on object-oriented principles and non-causal modeling. The language is constructed to facilitate reuse and decompose models. The models and the modellibrary can modified to design a new nonlinear components.Object-oriented modeling is an excellent way to analyze and study large complex heterogeneous physical systems. The object-oriented modeling approach build on reusing and decomposition of models and non-causal modeling.Modeling physical systems often leads to a DAE system with index 2 or 3.

Denna kvalitativa studies syfte är att belysa coachingfenomenet för att på så sätt få en djupare förståelse för vad det är som skapar utveckling för individen och hur detta upplevs av den som blir coachad. Genom följande frågeställningar uppnår vi vårt syfte: Vad gör en coach när den coachar? Samt vilka faktorer identifierar coachen och den som blir coachad som betydelsefulla för en lyckad process?Den vetenskapsteoretiska ansats som studien utgår från är Hermeneutiken och metoden är kvalitativ, med tematiskt öppna intervjuer för insamlingen av det empiriska materialet. Intervjuerna är genomförda vid olika tillfällen med sex personer vilka arbetar som coach inom arbetslivet i södra Sverige samt med fyra personer som har blivit coachade. Coacherna och de coachade har inget samband med varandra.

Populism has been an integral part of the Finnish political system since the late 1950's. At that time the Agrarian Populist Party, better known as The Rural Party, emerged and thrived for decades until the party financially broke down in the 1990's. Reemerging on the political scene as the True Finns, the party is more radical and more influential than ever, gaining enough support to be the third largest party of the 2011 parliamentary election. Sweden, Finland?s neighbor, in contrast has a history with very little populist presence or radical right populist parties (RRP-parties).

Goal-Oriented Action Planning (GOAP) är en AI-arkitektur som tillämpar ett måldrivet beteende åt agenter i spel. Mål uppnås genom att planer med åtgärder genereras med hjälp av en sökalgoritm. Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur två sökalgoritmer, A* och IDA*, presterar under planering i GOAP.De experimenten som används är dels en miljö där agenter simuleras, samt ett test där planer genereras för samtliga implementerade mål utan rendering och simulering av agenter. Data som utvärderas är bl.a. planeringstiden, antal besökta noder under sökning och genererade planer.Utvärderingen visar en tydlig fördel till A*, som i snitt är 38 % snabbare än IDA* vid planering av åtgärder i GOAP.

Studien avser coaching inom socialt arbete med socialkonstruktionistisk utgångspunkt. Coachingen bedrevs inom projektet "Stärkt skydd för utsatta barn", Länsstyrelsen i Skåne län. Studien syftade till att utforska med vilken mening och betydelse som coachingen användes inom kontexten av socialt arbete. I studien berättas om hur coachingen inneburit utveckling av och lärande av metoder och tekniker men framför allt personlig och professionell utveckling för deltagande socialsekreterare. Coachingen omtalas främst som öppna dialoger - involverande dialogiska samtal -med utforskande förhållningssätt initierat av coachen genom olika frågeställningar och gemensamma reflektioner.

This study revolves around the NATO-led Operation Unified Protector in Libya 2011. The military campaign was executed under a UN mandate to protect the Libyan civilian population. Despite the mandate civilians died because of NATO bombings. The purpose of this study is to identify inadequate measures in avoiding civilian casualties during the operation and to continue to work towards minimizing civilian casualties caused by military organizations in international interventions.Early in the operation, NATO?s objective altered from protecting the civilians to over­throwing the Libyan regime. At the same time NATO changed its military targeting.
