The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on the various factors that influence the balancebetween the working lives and family lives of social workers. The research questions posedwere: Do social workers consider there is a conflict between their working lives and familylives? Which factors make maintaining a balance between working life and family life moredifficult and which make it easier to do so? How do social workers describe equality betweenthe sexes in their own family? Regarding methodology, the selection method is strategic andcombines data sources with quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The material collectedand via online survey, targeted to 120 municipal employees social workers in a district councilin a big city, and through interviews with four social workers in a rural community. The studywas performed using gender theory and the demand-support-control model.

Public libraries have an important roll of making information accessible to all people. This democratic right supports the cultural development in our society. When public libraries build websites offering information and services it can sometimes cause obstacles for impaired users. It is therefore our purpose to evaluate a selection of websites and library plans to examine how the libraries work with accessibility for these users. This thesis is based on theories of cognitive and human computer interaction, and information architecture.

Detta examensarbete syftar till att beskriva och analysera transaktioner av bostadsbyggrätter.Det innebär en närmare granskning av transaktioner som sker på den privata marknaden, menäven av kommunala markanvisningar. Examensarbetet innefattar en bred undersökning avfrågor relaterade till bostadsbyggrättstransaktioner för att kunna beskriva och analysera dennuvarande processen. Detta kräver en undersökning av parametrar relaterade till när i tidentransaktioner sker, varför transaktioner sker, hur transaktioner sker samt när och hurprissättning respektive betalning sker. Dessutom utreds relationen mellan privata ochkommunala aktörer samt deras inställningar till bostadsbyggrättstransaktioner som företeelse.Examensarbetet syftar dessutom till att undersöka utvecklingsmöjligheter avbostadsbyggrättstransaktioner.Examensarbetet baseras huvudsakligen på en kvalitativ intervjustudie som riktar sig motkommuner och fastighetsutvecklare på den svenska bostadsfastighetsmarknaden iStockholmsregionen. Utifrån den studie som gjorts kan konstateras attbostadsbyggrättstransaktioner påverkas av ett flertal olika faktorer.

The music industry has been subject to great changes during the last ten years. The most significant factor contributing to this change is the increasing usage of broadband and thereby the increasing frequency of downloading music illegally. Music piracy and file sharing have caused record sales to plummet. Consumers have now moved on to consuming music in a digital format, not only through downloading but also from streaming music online, an activity partly made possible by social media channels such as YouTube. As the consumption patterns have changed companies within the music industry have been forced to find other sources of income than record sales and they have also needed to find alternate ways to market their artists.

Sammanfattning I denna uppsats presenteras en kvalitativ studie som syftar till att undersöka invandrarungdomars identitetskonstruktion och hur ungdomar som växer upp med inflytande av två kulturer själv beskriver känslan av tillhörighet i förhållande till sitt tidigare hemland respektive Sverige. Problemformuleringen syftar till att besvara frågor om hur ungdomarna ser på sin identitet och hur det formas i kulturmötet? Vidare undersöker vi var ungdomarna har sin tillhörighet och vad det beror på? Vi genomförde fem intervjuer med invandrarungdomar i åldrarna 22-26 år. Gemensamt för dessa intervjupersoner är att de alla kom till Sverige i en tidig ålder. Resultaten från vår studie visar att samtliga intervjupersoner har utvecklat en tillhörighetskänsla till både Sverige och till sitt ursprungsland.

Statistics indicate an increase in online shopping. This indication could result in the loss of safety factors for the customer, for example the possibility to physically examine the product, interact with professional store personnel and try the product before purchase ? factors which all could support the customer in her choice of company and product. The purpose of this study is to increase the theoretical knowledge regarding strategies in the area of trust-development between customers and companies. We have chosen to investigate what strategies web based companies apply and how they are perceived by their customers.

This study examines the cultural place and status of video and computer games in the Swedish public library. Using works on popular culture and the theories of Pierre Bourdieu, this study employs quantitative methods, as well as textual analysis, to analyze the results of an online questionnaire with 19 questions focusing on selection criteria, shelf placement, perceived competence, as well as reasoning for having or not having these games in the library. 286 out of the 440 libraries contacted is participating in the study, and the libraries consist exclusively of public libraries in Sweden that are found in the database of the Royal Library.The results of this study show that a larger number of libraries than previously indicated have started to provide electronic games to their patrons. At the same time, patterns in the data and comments suggests that these games in many cases still do not enjoy the same level of cultural recognition as other media. Indicative of this is the way most libraries seem to focus on the medium being exclusively for their young patrons, with seem-ingly very little in the way of investment for adults.

Genom att studera relationen mellan upplevt psykologiskt arbetsklimat och anställdas användande av sociala media i arbetet söktes stöd för studiens huvudsyfte: om anställda använder sig av sociala media i arbetet om arbetsklimatet inte upplevs som positivt, samt om sociala media används, hur anställda då uppfattar sociala media som hjälp och stöd i arbetet. Genom en webbaserad enkät samlades data in från deltagarna (N = 27), vilka härrörde från tre IT-avdelningar i en kommunal organisation i Mellansverige. Analyser av ackumulerad data skedde till övervägande del genom Spearmans korrelationstest och Mann-Whitney U-test. Resultatet indikerade stöd för två av studiens tre hypoteser vad gäller samband mellan upplevelse av psykologiskt arbetsklimat och användande av sociala media, samt skillnader mellan anställdas upplevelse av relationer till kollegor offline och användande av sociala media. Däremot hittades inga signifikanta skillnader för hur anställda, beroende på hur de ser på kunskap, tar stöd från relationer online och offline..

IntroductionStatistics show a declining trend despite the many benefits of breastfeeding.AimThe aim was to investigate how new mothers experienced the care associated with childbirth, with focus on breastfeeding.MethodThe study included mothers who gave birth in a hospital in the middle region of Sweden during 2011, and who responded to an online survey (n?1000). The present study was based upon answers from the open questions concerning dissatisfaction and suggestions for improvement and have been categorized using content analysis.ResultsMothers described failure in several areas, with a negative impact on breastfeeding. Many experienced that they had not been seen and treated like an individual, and that the healthcare staff had been unpleasant, impersonal, ignorant and stressed. Mothers wanted more credit from the staff concerning their own ability and some reported that they had been controlled and ?run over?.

Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva vad det kunde finnas för faktorer som påverkade genomförandet av ett samtal med patienter ur ett tvärkulturellt perspektiv. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. Artiklar söktes ur databaserna: PubMed, CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Wiley online library samt Science Direct. Resultat: Resultatet visade på att kommunikation i det tvärkulturella mötet var beroende av en kulturell kompetens hos hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalen. Vidare visade resultatet på brister i hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens kulturella kompetens, samt att det i sjuksköterskeutbildningen saknades specifik utbildning inom kulturell kompetens.

This thesis aims to answer the following questions: What type of vocabulary is used in the humanities? What does this implicate when it comes to indexing in the humanities? How do humanities scholars seek information and what type of information do they need? What consequences does this have when it comes to the development of humanities databases? How is the MLA International Bibliography organized? How does its indexing system ? CIFT ? work? How does the MLA International Bibliography correspond with the needs of the humanities scholar? The study shows that the type of vocabulary used in the humanities differs significantly from that used in the sciences. Therefore, information retrieval is often said to be problematic in the humanities when compared to the sciences. This is, however, not completely true. If consideration is taken to the different type of vocabulary used in the humanities, subject access proves to be more straightforward than has been generally recognized.

Because social media is personal and reaches users directly, it has become an important means of communication for companies trying to reach out to their audience (Nygren & Wadbring, 2013). Especially the possibility of interactivity has been discussed as social media's big advantage. But how much two-way communication is actually possible on social media? This is a quantitative study that focuses on how Swedish Facebook users in the ages of 16-25 interact with companies on the social network. The aim was to contribute with increased information and knowledge about how the users mentioned above interact with the companies as well as how the users perceive the companies communication and presence on Facebook.

Studiens syfte är att granska bilder, layout och reklam från olika webbplatser och analysera hurdessa bilder kan påverka ungdomar i deras konstruktion av sin identitet. De hemsidor som granskatsvaldes ut genom en informant och valet av informant gjordes genom en enkätundersökning somfokuserade på vilka webbplatser ungdomarna besökt under en vecka. Den valda informanten bleven 15-årig tjej som fyllde i enkäten utförligt och hade besökt många hemsidor som innehöll mångabilder och som var intressanta för studien. Studien av de olika webbplatserna visade att hemsidornahade mestadels neutral layout, men innehåll många bilder med många olika starka budskap. Genomatt spara och dela bilderna via sin egen profil och andra hemsidor ges man som användare möjlighetatt uttrycka och konstruera vem man är och vem man vill vara genom att förknippas med en viss typav bilder.

Consumers today leave a fragment of information when they pay with their debit and credit cards. The aim of our work is to investigate ways to design a concept of a system in which digitally stored information that today is fragmented among several different holders, can be assembled into a system and made available to consumers. In our study of how a system for financial flow of information should be designed, we intend to study the present situation and the attempts made to alter it into a more informative reality. We intend to investigate the flow of information when a consumer pays by card, and the possible solutions regarding the design and transportation of digital receipts. A majority of the information of our digital consumption is today handled digitally.
