This abstract describes the bachelor degree thesis in computer technology at Växjö University. The company BSR in Växjö has requested an application that can measure a cars performance, with attributes like acceleration times and engine power estimation. The communication between car and computer is via the USB port on the computer and the OBD-II socket on the car with the Network protocol CAN, controller area Network. Cars from VAG have been the primary focus group and the application has been tested on a Volkswagen Passat CC from 2009. The system is developed in the programming language C# in the environment Visual Studio with the framework .NET.

The company Västra Mälardalens Kommunalförbund, VMKF, wishes to revise and optimize their present data and IP-telephony Network as of today consists of the three municipalities Köping, Arboga and Kungsör. As a municipal corporation, they seek consultation regarding internal as well as external review and investigation of the main structure of the Network, its functionality and safety. By today?s increasing demands of Internet accessibility, availability of services and security far more extends the requirement of a complete Network design. The foundation of Networking rests on the balance between each of these necessities.

This thesis will address a problem concerning availability of information systems at an enterprise within the financial sector and its external suppliers, so called trusted third party. The information system resides on the internal Network of the enterprise and must be available to both employees of the enterprise and the trusted third party simultaneously. This contradicts the company policy which disallows third parties access to the internal Network. The HAVECA-model introduced in this thesis provides a framework of methods, each solving a sub problem identified in the model. The identified methods are hardening, verification, control and assurance, together supplying a method for continuously securing the internal Network against a trusted third party.

The aim of this study is to, by developing ideal types, describe why studententrepreneurs participate in self organised business Network. The investigation is based on answers from 41 participants in the business Network ?Företagare på Lnu?, as well astwo semi-focused groups, which where analysed by using Webers (1978) ideal types.The investigation shows that there are several reasons for student entrepreneurs to participate in self organised business Network. For instance some people participate to gather knowledge from other student entrepreneurs for their own future, since they have an idea of soon starting their own business. Others participate just for the fun of knowing what?s going on at the university..

En modernare approach är att förlita sig på den faktiska omgivningen istället för en modell av denna. Detta arbete presenterar en undersökning av navigeringsproblemet och hur väl det löses av agenter vars kontrollmekanismer utgörs artificiella neurala nätverk. Tillförlitligheten hos de två neurala arkitekturerna Extended sequential cascaded Network och Self-organized recurrent Network bestäms genom experiment.

Social Networks have increased significantly during the latest decades, but what does the cooperation include and how does the Network processes look like? Networks are not specific for communities in the 2000?s or for that matter human organisations, but the ability to build Networks and introduce more actors to the organisation have become easier with today?s communication technology. The study is about the Norrköping Municipality membership in the transnational Network Sweden Emilia Romagna Network (SERN). It gives an insight into how Networking and cooperation can be seen by politicians and officials, based on mission statements and the reason why a municipality choose to participate in transnational Networks. The study aims to examine how Norrköping Municipality uses the SERN Network and what the Network have resulted in since the beginning of the municipality membership in 2005. It is a qualitative study which involves interviews with officials and politicians from the Municipality of Norrköping and textual material from SERN?s strategy documents and policies.

Clemens en August is a new German fashion label, which has the goal to become established in the high-end segment. The company uses an innovative sales strategy, directly distributing its products to the end costumer. This paper investigates, through an actor-Network theory perspective, how the recreation area Lo?vsta-Kyrkhamn-Riddersvik northwest of Stockholm has developed from being a dumping site into becoming a nature reserve. This investigation also tries to describe and explain which values that have been promoted in the area by the local voluntary associations and companies. Lo?vsta-Kyrkhamn-Riddersvik has been inhabited for more than 3000 years, originally with farming as the most important business.

No infrastructures today are growing faster then communication Network. This paper describes a case study of the largest film production ever conducted in Scandinavia. The study aims at explaining the complex relationships in the Network structure in which the project took place. Coordination of creative projects carried out in a Network context, includes handling conflicting interest and contradictions. Creativity needs space and freedom while projects need structure and coordination, whereby controlling these projects becomes complex. Micro-power wind energy convertors have recently increased in popularity. The reasons for this are among other things the increasing cost of electric energy and enviromental concern.In this thesis the connection of these micro-power wind energy convertors to the utility Network is discussed. Electric standards for the connection of small production units is presented. Finally some calculations and measurements of electric quality are also presented.
