Dessvärre dyker det upp problem när man ska läsa och navigera i stora dokument. Kognitiva belastningar på korttidsminnet är en följd av svårigheten att överblicka stora dokument. Det uppstår även problem med navigeringen i dokumenten.

This Master Thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Silva Sweden AB. A companywhich manufactures products like compasses, pedometers, headlamps, hiking poles and otherequipment for the out door life and Navigation. The purpose of the project has been toassemble methods and models which support user involvement in Silva?s design process.Thus, to increase the number of products with purchasing power, enhance product quality aswell as increase foundation for new product ideas.The focus through out the project has been to assemble a pallet with methods for userinvolvement and from this select a few methods that will fit the company. For many of us is imperative that the process as efficient as possible if one takes in consideration the size of savings that this new application can bring.The developer of the evaluated system is SYSteam AB Huskvarna and they are the ones that gave us this assignment. The application that we evaluate is SCM (Secure Connection Manager). It is already used today by big companies such as Telia and Ericsson to search for errors in telephone servers placed all over the country.

Internet och dess webbplatser är källa till mycket information. Ofta vet vi vilken information vi söker, problemet är bara att hitta den. Ett nyckelelement på webbplatser för att hitta den information som man söker är Navigationen. Navigationen kan vara utformad på många olika sätt, vilka har olika för- och nackdelar. Denna studie ska undersöka vilken Navigationstyp som är den mest effektiva för tredimensionella Navigationsstrukturer. Först väljs de fem Navigationstyperna som ska jämföras, detta genom att undersöka vilka de bästa webbplatserna i Sverige använder.

IKEA har under hösten 2006 utfört en egen undersökning av deras webbplats, www.ikea.se. En del av syftet blir således att resultatet skulle kunna fungera som ett bra komplement till den undersökningen. Vårt sätt att genomföra detta grundar sig på en kvalitativ studie genom observationer och efterföljande intervjuer med ett antal testpersoner. Enligt teorier hämtade från området för användbarhet och webbdesign påverkar områdena struktur, navigering, länkar, design/layout, information, text, bild och färger möjligheten till en god webbplats, dessa begrepp fungerar även som en utgångspunkt för vår datainsamling. IKEAs vision är att ?skapa en bättre vardag för de många människorna?, därför tycker vi att det är av största vikt att även deras webbplats är funktionell och användbar för den svenska populationen.

Introduktion: Regionalt cancercenter (RCC) har i samarbete med Sveriges kommuner och landsting (SKL) beslutat att varje patient med en cancerdiagnos ska bli tilldelad en kontaktsjuksköterska.Syfte: Att undersöka hur väl implementeringen av kontaktsjuksköterskan har fungerat inom den onkologiska vården på Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala samt om de kontaktsjuksköterskor som finns arbetar i enlighet med SKL:s definition.Metod: Kvalitativ metod med semi-strukturerade intervjuer av åtta patienter med olika cancerdiagnos.Huvudresultat: Fem av de åtta deltagarna blev tilldelade en kontaktsjuksköterska eller motsvarande när de fick sin diagnos, antingen i direkt samband med diagnosen eller i ett senare skede. Resultaten tyder på att de patienter som ingår i någon slags forskningsstudie upplever sig ha en kontaktsjuksköterska som underlättar för dem och även deras behandling. Patienter som inte ingår i läkemedelsstudier upplever inte att kontaktsjuksköterskan har arbetat enligt SKL:s definition.Slutsats: Forskningssjuksköterskor är den personalkategori som arbetar närmast definitionen av kontaktsjuksköterska. Brister gällande sjukvårdens tillgänglighet, förmåga att ge fullgod information samt att erbjuda anhöriga stöd har uppmärksammats. Ytterligare forskning måste utföras för att resultaten ska kunna bekräftas.  .

In a world characterized by increasing sustainability challenges, organizations are continuously facing new demands; creating new requirements of change management and incorporation of new strategic decisions. Today, organizations are responding to the emergence of new sustainability directives and regulations at a EU level, whence the latest sustainability framework CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), becomes particularly relevant. Companies are therefore facing the challenge of integrating strategic management in their Navigation, preparation and maneuvering of new directives; a transition that requires new strategic decisions and adaptations. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively examine how CSRD affects organizations in terms of corporate changes, operational adaptations and strategic decisions, as well as what capabilities are essential to incorporate. The study also aims to investigate relevant challenges and opportunities associated with the new directive.

The ability to handle potentially dangerous and hostile situations on a military vesselrequires that the equipment works effectively with the personnel that use it. It is importantthat this equipment can be used by different people. An operator on a military vesselshall be able to handle information about hostile threats, Navigation and the steering ofunmanned vehicles. A operator console should therefore be constructed in such a waythat the operator can handle a large flow of information. And the information given bythe technical system should be displayed correctly to facilitate the operators ability tohandle and interpret the information correctly, in order for the operator to make thecorrect decision at any given moment.

This is an investigation into the ways in which a group of librarians experience and make use of the intranet in their vocational role. The theoretical frame of reference consists of a model of how professionals seek information, which is based on a role-theory. As a method, I have applied a qualitative case-study. Using semi-structured qualitative interviews I have interviewed five librarians and the webmaster responsible for the intranet in their library. I have investigated how elements such as the age and vocational role of the librarians affect their use of the intranet.

This report of 10 credits is a C ? level essay in informatics.The report presents the result of our investigation. The purpose is to answer our problem statements:?How does computer-based graphical pedagogical tools work compared to traditional teaching aids? What is the users view upon the content? Is the information too hard or too easy? Does the structure work better than the traditional website design??Infact is a system that has as its primary goal to present information in a pedagogical way to let users of all ages and sexes learn from the contents. The information shown on the web page www.forskning.se is about Swedish and international research and the sites primary target users are high school students.In our investigation we asked a total of sixteen students divided into three groups a number of questions where after we started a discussion that we hoped would yield some answers about Infact and the homepage in general.Our main conclusion is that Infact is a good tool to use side by side with the textbooks and the traditional teaching aids.

At Flight and Systems test Saab AB, a post-processing software is used to process GPS data. A new software by the name GrafNav has been purchased and the purpose of this master thesis therefore became, partly to make a judgment regarding GrafNav?s ability to estimate position, velocity and accuracy, partly to if needed improve the estimate and finally find one or several methods to estimate the position and velocity accuracy. The judgment of GrafNav was performed partly by a comparison to the former post-processing software (PNAV) and partly by a comparison to the airplane?s inertial Navigation system (INS).

Istället för att bläck trycks på papperet så visar e-papperet informationen genom att små partiklar på papperets yta byter färg vilket innebär att samma e- pappersark kan innehålla och visa ett stort antal sidor. Nya medier blir sällan accepterade utan att det funnits länkar till tidigare eller existerade tekniker. Denna studie ämnar kartlägga tidningsläsarnas användningsmönster och papperstidningens egenskaper för att understödja utformningen av morgondagens e-papperstidning. Genom att kombinera litteratur med egna undersökningar presenteras riktlinjer för vilka egenskaper och användningsmönster som framtidens e-papper bör stödja.
