There are shortcomings when it comes to recent studies by a Roma perspective on Roma culture and traditions. The purpose of this paper is to understand how the Roma present themselves in eight articles with an emphasis on culture, language and identity. The questions are as follows:First, how the Roma articles manufactures the Roma culture and what do these articles say about culture, identity and language from a Roma perspective? Second, how can the Roma preserve and develop their culture and be a part of Swedish society in accordance with Articles?Some of the findings are that the Roma language, Roma clothing and Roma music is part of the Roma culture. Similarly, social codes and traditions such as International Roma Day, which is a Romani celebration.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att få en inblick i hur pianot används inom den svenska folkmusiken. Bakgrundskapitlet handlar om folkmusikgruppernas och instrumenteringens utveckling inom svensk folkmusik. Jag har intervjuat tre aktiva folkmusikpianister och lyssnat på och analyserat deras spel. Det följer även med en cd-skiva med ljudexempel från intervjutillfällena. Vi pratade om karaktärsdrag som de lyfter fram i spelet, om deras inställning till folkmusiktraditionen, pianots möjligheter och begränsningar samt vilken roll pianot har i den svenska folkmusiken.

The system tungsten-oxygen has potential of being suitable for decorative coatings since ceramic coatings are often hard and wear resistant, and since modulations in oxygen content or incorporation of small ions could give bright colours. The aim of this report was to investigate the relationship between process parameters and  the properties of the films, with the wear resistance being of special interest.Samples with tungsten to oxygen ratios in the range of 100:0 to 25:75 at% were made using reactive sputter deposition, either with constant gas flow, or gas flow controlled by optical emission of the plasma. The hysteresis of the system, which means that a certain gas flow will cause different pressure and/or target voltage depending on in what way the flow is reached, makes it interesting to control the process where the system makes the steep change from metallic tungsten to ceramic tungsten oxide. This is difficult and thus requires precise control equipment.The samples were analysed using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and an empirical wear test suitable for small components like cell phone cover for example, in order to characterize the structure, composition and wear resistance of the coatings. The results could be divided into three groups: (I) tungsten-like, with very low oxygen content; (II) mixed phase and (III) tungsten oxide like, with oxygen content close to 75 at%.

The aim of this study was to analyze the transtextual relationship between Hjalmar Söderberg's Jahves eld (The Fire of Yahweh, 1918) and the Book of Exodus. A limitation was set to just focus on the theme regarding the horned face of Moses, which Söderberg extensively discussed in his book, both through narrative and commentary. The methodological and theoretical approach could best be described as a qualitative text analysis where Gérard Genette's model of five types of transtextual relationships (intertextuality, paratextuality, metatextuality, architextuality and hypertextuality) was used in order to systematically classify the various relationships and in a thorough way relate the texts to each other.The analysis shows that the transtextual relationships are many and varied, and some appears to be more relevant to the study than others. Due to the composition of Jahves eld, its first part (?I österland, i fjärran tid?, most easily described as a paraphrase and pastiche of the Book of Exodus) can be identified as a hypertext to the Book of Exodus, while the second part (?Markels försvar?) is rather a metatext to both the first part and the Book of Exodus.

AbstractMy feature career as a teacher, for the early years of compulsory school, makes it interesting to finding out of how teaching religion can be donned. I am interested in what methods can be used for teaching religion That?s why my purpose aims to find out how five different teachers, of the early ages, works and what methods they use while teaching religion. My issue for this composition is: what methods, or to a point - methods supported by different teaching models, can be used for studying religion in compulsory school? Empirical and specialized literature points in the direction fore methods like storytelling, load reading, drama, group works, independent searching of information, working books and so on.

Over the last couple of years, growers, researchers, advisors and plant protection companies have noticed increasing problems with tortricids in Swedish apple orchards. Since the insecticide Gusathion (azinphosmethyl) has been banned (end of 2008; KemI 2008), a further increase of tortricid populations can be expected. In order to get a picture of species composition and population densities among the tortricids, an inventory of seven species, Adoxophyes orana, Archips podana, Archips rosana, Cydia pomonella, Hedya nubiferana, Pandemis heparana and Spilonota ocellana was made in 11 orchards in southern Sweden (Skåne) in 2008. Analyses of pollen and charcoal in peat cores, together with age-structure data of Pinus sylvestris from a Ledum-Pinus-mire in the Tyresta National Park (south-east Sweden) show the regional vegetation succession and fire history over the last 9000 years. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka om det finns skillnader och likheter mellan afromusiker och folkmusiker beträffande hur de behandlar begreppet sväng. För att besvara syftet användes fyra forskningsfrågor;Hur skapas sväng? Vad fokuserar musiker på i skapandet av sväng? Finns det skillnader mellan afromusikerns och folkmusikerns uppfattning om sväng? Och i så fall hur skiljer sig uppfattningarna åt? Undersökningen gjordes genom intervjuer av sex musiker; tre afromusiker och tre folkmusiker. Arbetet baseras på deras subjektiva åsikter samt på forskning och litteratur i ämnet. I arbetet tas följande teman upp; pulsförhållning och rytm, fotstamp/takt, timing, dynamik och kommunikation/samspel.Det visade sig att det finns vissa skillnader och likheter mellan de båda genrerna och mina informanters uppfattning om sväng. I studien visar bland annat att; det kan skilja mellan genrerna hur musikerna förhåller sig till en puls för att skapa sväng.

Dansen har funnits länge i människans närhet och den har olika betydelser beroende på vad individen har för uppfattning om dansens normer och uppbyggnad. Syftet med vår empiriska studie är att undersöka om pojkar och flickor har en liknande syn på ämnesområdet rörelse till musik samt dans i gymnasieskolan och i så fall varför eller varför inte de har det. Vi har utgångspunkt i genusperspektivet och därmed Hirdmans (2001) teorier om genuskontraktet. Metoden vi har använt oss av är den kvantitativa undersökningsmetoden. Inom ramen för den kvantitativa undersökningsmetoden valde vi enkäter eftersom det är enklast att få svar på våra frågeställningar samt för att det ger oss stora möjligheter att nå ut till många individer. Rörelse till musik samt dans uppfattas som ett feminint ämne.

Scientific studies show that good leadership is a key factor for group- and individual development. Studies have also shown that the contrary can curb talented individuals and/or cause stagnation, or even cause groups to halt their progression. This essay studies how leaders in musical and athletic environments look on their own leadership. In interviews, the leaders reflect upon experienced issues related to their profession, their views on difficulties in their leading role, as well as individual, and group development. This study also includes two observations, one in each field of profession.

This thesis examines the organization Empower and their members, who consist of sex working women in Thailand. The purpose is to explore the more liberal point of view of prostitution and how the female members perceive Empower. Furthermore the study investigates if the organization can improve the sex workers empowerment. The study also delineates how these women reflect on their professional role as a sex working woman and whether the women relate to feminine discourses. The study is implemented in Chiang Mai, Thailand during the fall of the year 2010 and is based on qualitative methods like interview, focus group, observations and text analysis.

Consumption of fossil fuels harms our environmental through formation of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. To get under control with our environmental issues it?s important to find substitutes for oil that are both cheap and environmentally friendly. Ethanol has a long history as a motor fuel and is both enviromentally friendly has a high efficiency.According to the EU commissions directives for motor fuels, 5, 75 % of all the fuels in Sweden should be renewable in 2010.
