The aim of the present study is to describe and analyse how an inter-cultural perspective presents itself in the didactic considerations and in the practice of preschool teachers on a multiethnic preschool.The theoretical perspective upon which the study is founded is social constructivism, but in addition to this Ingegerd Municio?s idea of two existing discourses present within the institutions in the Swedish educational system, as well as René León?s concept of a diversified normality, has been used as theoretical tools and points of departure.The empirical investigation consists of a qualitative field study at a multi-ethnic preschool, where participating observation and group interviews have been used to collect data. In these teachers from the preschool have participated.The results and the analysis of the data show that an inter-cultural perspective surfaces in the didactic considerations and in the practice of the preschool teachers in their construction of a diversified normality. The diversified normality thus constructed is constituted through different social processes. I have here identified the following ones: the preschool teachers emphasize differences among the children in general, they allow that the children behave differently and they allow them to be different; they recognize ?cultural? differences, differences in origin, and frames of reference, and they recognize that the children at the preschool are bilingual..

Med den nya generationen processorer där vi har flera cpu-kärnor på ett chip, så ökas prestandan genom parallell exekvering. I denna rapport presenterar vi en omvärldsstudie om allmän multiprocessorteori där vi går igenom olika tekniker för både hårdvara och mjukvara. Vi har även utfört empiriska tester på ett datorkluster, där vi har testat de två olika programmen Fluent och CFX, som utför CFD beräkningar. För varje program så har tre modeller använts för simuleringar med varierande antal beräkningsnoder. Vi har undersökt vad som är mest lönsamt, att använda en eller båda CPU-kärnorna vid de olika simuleringarna.

Bakgrund och problem: Separationen mellan ägande och drift skapar en situation som ledertill att prestationsbaserad ersättning används för att skapa incitament för VD att maximeraägarnas egenintresse. Ägarintressena i investmentbolag kan vara kopplade till både makt ochvinstmaximering vilket gör det intressant att undersöka huruvida ersättningen till VDpåverkas av ägarstrukturen och företagets prestation.Syfte: Studien syftar till att belysa om det i ett urval av svenska investmentbolag finns någonkoppling mellan ägarstruktur och ersättning till VD. Vidare ämnar studien att för samma urvalbelysa eventuella samband mellan ersättningen till VD och investmentbolagets relativaprestation.Metod: Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och baseras på ett urval av fem investmentbolag.Den teoretiska referensramen utgår från principal-agent konflikten. Vidare har det empiriskamaterialet samlats in från investmentbolagens årsredovisningar för att möjliggöra en analysav hur ersättningen till VD har påverkats av företagens ägarstruktur och prestation relativt deandra investmentbolagen i urvalet.Slutsats: Avseende investmentbolagen i urvalet så tenderar ägarstrukturen att ha storbetydelse för storlek och utformning av ersättningen till VD medan ersättningen verkar saknasamband med företagets relativa prestation..

Vi behandlar prostitutionen i Thailand genom att undersöka hur den prostituerades roll har konstruerats i samhället. Empiriskt använder vi oss av en thailändsk statlig rapport, som svarar på FN-avdelningen CEDAWs antidiskrimineringskonvention. I denna rapport redogörs för kvinnorättssituationen i landet. Med feministisk teori gör vi en kvalitativ textanalys för att klarlägga den politiska diskursen kring den prostituerades roll och hur denna har formats. Utifrån vår analys konstaterar vi att den prostituerade hamnar i ett stigma där hon beroende på situationen identifieras som antingen en promiskuös agent med personliga ekonomiska incitament eller som ett hjälplöst offer.

The aim of this thesis was to study financial support within the Church of Sweden and the view of the church?s diaconal work. This was done with a quantitative method where a survey sent to a number of churches containing questions about financial support within the church and how they, the respondents, looked at the church?s role as a welfare agent. Of the almost 200 congregations only 23 congregations responded.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka befintlig värderingsteoris tillämplighet på fallföretaget. Fallföretaget jämförs även med konkurrenter i branschen för att utreda generaliserbarheten för fallstudiens resultat på branschen som helhet. En kvalitativ analys av ett fallföretag genomförs. Information erhålls genom intervjuer med fallföretagets VD och utvalda analytiker och branschkunniga, samt genom insamlande av finansiell data. En kvantitativ branschstudie genomförs i syfte att jämföra fallföretaget med dess konkurrenter.

The purpose of this thesis is to describe and to increase the understanding of the negotiation process between the public- and the private sector in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). I have chosen to explore the first ?real? PPP project in Denmark, the construction of Vildbjerg compulsory school in the municipality of Trehøje.This case study is based upon a qualitative method consisting of interviews with the leading negotiators from both sectors. Two different theoretical perspectives are used to construct the basis of the analysis - The Theory of Public-Private Partnership and Negotiation theory - and serve as a concept instrument.The result of the analysis indicates that the negotiators from the different sectors have problems to get out of their traditional roles as purchaser and contractor ? in PPP they should act like partners.

Working with relationship marketing within the estate agent market is especially complicated in many ways. An estate agency is a service company and works as a middleman between a buyer and a seller and therefore has a complicated relationship to its costumers.

Studien fokuserar på vilka utmaningar svenska internationella organisationer har vidtransferering av arbetssätt och personalpolitiska värden. Organisationer är allt merinternationella idag, vilket är möjligt tack vare dagens teknik och förbindelser. Det finnsmånga påverkansfaktorer som ligger inom och utanför organisationers kontroll och detta fårkonsekvenser för hur utfallet av transfereringen av arbetssätt och personalpolitiska värdenblir.Studiens teori baseras på de svårigheter och utmaningar som kan finnas itransfereringsprocesser inom Multi National Corporations (MNCs) och olika strategierorganisationer kan använda sig av. Det är svårt att hitta arbetssätt som passar alla inomorganisationer internationellt och det argumenteras att kulturskillnader mellan länder är en avde största utmaningarna för MNCs står inför.Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad i organisationers personalpolitik och arbetssätt somkan transfereras internationellt. Resultatet visade att detta fenomen är komplext och attorganisationer har svårt att hantera transfereringsprocesser.

To purchase a house or an apartment is often one of the major personal financial commitments for a person. In 2005, 84% of the homeowners sold their homes using a estate agency. During 2006 several new opportunities appeared on the market, giving the homeowners more of a choice in what way to sell their homes. Media describes the alternatives in general ?as the agents on the Internet?.

This "cross-culture" study deals entirely on awareness and attitudes among Kenyan andSwedish teachers in terms of gender equality. Parts of this study were conducted in Kenya,where I spent a month living and visited a school in a multi-million city. There, I conductedsemi-structured interviews with teachers and gathered material for my thesis. The purpose ofthis study is to see how teachers in Kenya relate to gender and then compare this withSwedish teachers. The study also includes a review of national policy documents for schoolregarding gender equality.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine research perspectives and a selection ofmanagers? views on the concept of work motivation. With an exploratory approach,based on a literature review and interviews these views are examined and compared inrelation to a theoretical framework. This theoretical framework consists of three keyconcepts, the individual, the context and the regulation of work motivation. Theliterature review reveals two research perspectives, a classic economic perspectivebased on Principal?Agent Theory and a more up to date social psychologicalperspective based on Self-Determination Theory.

An investigation of the heat impact of laser cutting on the material properties when producing tensile and impact test specimens of different steel types of varying thickness has been performed. The purpose of the thesis project was to provide recommendations regarding how much material that needs to be milled from the laser cut edge before tensile and impact tests. The study has been performed partly by investigating the test specimens by heat camera when the specimens were cut in the laser cutting line and partly by performing hardness tests, investigation by microscopy, and tolerance and roughness measurements and tensile tests of the laser cut material and material produced in the traditional multi operation machine. The results show that the heat affected zone in the thicker materials is greater than previously thought of, and that the currently used recommendation has to be adjusted. The study clearly shows that the thicker the material, the greater the heat affected zone, independently of the steel type, since the thicker material takes longer time to cut.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how venture capitalists can use their network in order to reduce information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews, consisting of open questions, have been used to receive gradate information in order to reach our explorative purpose. Our theoretical framework consists of relevant studies made on the dynamics of networks and the problems that can arise in the complex relationship between a principal and an agent. We have been interviewing two venture capital firms and therepresentatives from two business angel networks. We also made an additional interview with an influential financial actor in order to try to verify our conclusions Our conclusions are that an extensive network can be used by venture capitalists in order to; verify ventures? technologies, complement the competences in the venture management team, and arrange co-investments, resulting in reduced information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team.

Ett sekellångt förbud mot att bygga hus med trästomme högre än två våningar har gjort att värdefulla kunskaper om träbyggandet gått förlorat samtidigt som andra material istället etablerat sig på marknaden.För utvecklingen av flervåningshus i trä har Växjö blivit en förebild för andra städer i Sverige och resten av världen. Med denna studie vill författarna skapa en uppfattning om var i utvecklingen vi står idag samt tillvarata erfarenheter från fyra representativa projekt.Målet har varit att ta fram faktorer i produktionsprocessen som påverkar tid, kvalitet och ekonomi för flervåningshus i trä. Dessutom har det undersökts i vilken grad och på vilket sätt erfarenheter från tidigare projekt omsatts i senare projekt.Arbetet resulterar i ett antal punkter som är viktiga att ta ställning till vid en byggnation av flervåningshus med en träbaserad stomme. Dessa punkter berör bl a vad som behöver beaktas vid hög prefabriceringsgrad, varför och hur väderskydd bör användas samt hur sättningar påverkar en träbyggnad. Utvecklingen är starkt beroende av kontinuitet och av att fler hus av denna sort byggs.
