AbstractOur purpose was to understand how social workers experience the possible complexities that working with economical aid can entail. As an example we chose to focus on long-term economical aid work. We aimed to address the question of which factors could affect their work. In a prior study, done by Dellgran & Höjer (2003) the conclusion was drawn  that  the combination of economical aid, healthcare and schools makeup a third of  practical social work in the terms of the proportion of the amount of social workers, but only 8 percent of the research is done in those areas. Other studies (Stranz, 2007) demonstrate that the research that is done on working with economical aid is deficient.

Background: Obesity has expanded to a nationwide issue that affects millions of people. The healthcare system struggles to handle the epidemic as the problem grows. Studies show that healthcare workers have negative attitudes toward obese and overweight people and that they lack knowledge and proper tools to support this patient group. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a known technique for initiating lifestyle changes with patients. Aim: The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of MI as a tool for weight loss and sustainable lifestyle changes for people with obesity and overweight. Method: This study uses a literature review methodology with a systematic perspective. Data is gathered and analyzed to investigate how MI affects weight loss.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och analysera ett kommunalt åtgärdsprojekt för arbetslösa ungdomar mellan 18 och 24 år samt hur personalen arbetar med deltagarna som medverkar. Följande frågeställningar har formulerats: Hur ser det kommunala projektupplägget ut? På vilket sätt arbetar personalen med deltagarna som medverkar? Vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med enhetschefen för projektet samt med personal som arbetar i verksamheten. Vi har även genomfört en deltagande observation i syfte att stärka studiens empiriska resultat. Tidigare forskning visar att det finns sparsamt med undersökningar kring kommunala verksamheters innehåll samt studier som visar om de arbetar efter någon särskild metod.

The thesis concerns itself with studying the effects private brands has on the consumer?s impulse buying in the grocery industry, as in degree of unplanned spending and the selection process between manufacturer brands and private brands when such a purchase is performed. The study?s methodology is characterised by a qualitative approach, whereby the study acknowledges the inductive approach towards the empirical setting even though the Mehrabian-Russell model along with motivational theories serve as highlighters of relevant aspects in the empirical field. The study concludes that both the utilitarian and the hedonic consumer decide what to buy before entering the store, whereby a low degree of needs arise in the store.

Several studies have shown that students lack motivation to learn any language but English. Of particular concern is the young males? underachieving and disinterest in foreign languages. In the meantime, a number of international studies and the statistical data from Swedish national agencies of secondary and higher education (Skolverket and Högskoleverket) have indicated that Russian is one of the languages that are favoured by males. The primary goal of my case study was, therefore, to examine students? motivation to learn Russian and their attitudes towards language, community and Russian-speaking people.

Bakgrund: Övervikt ökar idag bland svenska barn och skolsköterskor inom elevhälsan har en viktig del i arbetet för att få ner barns övervikt.   Syfte: Beskriva skolsköterskors erfarenheter av hälsofrämjande arbete med övervikt hos elever i högstadiet och gymnasiet. Metod: Nio skolsköterskor har intervjuats individuellt med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Intervjuerna analyserades utifrån en innehållsanalys. Kategorier och subkategorier utformades sedan för att få en överblick av skolsköterskornas erfarenheter. Resultat: Skolsköterskorna möter vanligtvis eleverna vid hälsosamtalet och detta samtal är ofta grunden till hälsoarbetet när de har identifierat övervikt hos eleven.

The purpose of this study was to investigate pupils' and teachers' experiences of using the simulator computer game Minecraft in connection with the Swedish school competition Future City. The study examines how students (ages 14-15) and teachers have experienced the use of Minecraft, what the students have learned in relation to everyday education and the different forms of education during Future City and also examine which patterns that exists in the experiences of the students, with personal interest of and knowledge of Minecraft as a benchmark. The study was conducted through individual semi-structured interviews with both students and teachers. The analysis of the results is based upon a theoretical perspective that includes a socio-cultural view of learning, as well as the lines of reasoning in previous research about computer games and learning. As a general approach towards the study, and in a way, a justification of the chosen research method, a hermeneutic approach was used.

Data analyserades genom en kvalitativ inneha?llsanalys.

We have chosen to focus on the meaning of long-term income support dependency regarding health, goal setting and motivation for the recipient of economical aid. We have chosen to use semi structurized interviews to achieve our goal of reaching the clients experience of long-term income support dependency. The study consists of interviews of six clients whose answers have been analyzed through appliance of Kielhofner´s Model of human occupation, Scheff´s Shame in self and society.   Our results show regarding, 1) the factor health that long-term income support dependency may elevate the risk of illness and less experienced options of possibilities to act. 2) regarding the factor goal setting, that goals may be inefficiently used during social work with long-term income support dependent clients and may result in a disorganized relationship between client and social worker in the sense of making the parties pull in opposite direction. 3) regarding the factor motivation, that long-term income support dependency and the living with the emotion of shame elevates the risk of maintaining a negative image of oneself that limits the willpower to assimilate new knowledge and/or skills.

Syfte: Att belysaBVC-sjuksköterskors upplevelserav arbetetmed föräldrar vars barn harövervikt.Bakgrund:Övervikt bland barn i förskoleåldern har ökat under de senaste åren i Sverige. Övervikt kan ge både fysiska och sociala konsekvenserför barnet. Föräldrar är nyckelpersoner i arbetet mot att förebygga övervikt hos barn.Sjuksköterskor inom barnhälsovård (BVC) är de som tidigt kommer i kontakt med dessa föräldrar. Design:Kvalitativ intervjustudie.Metod:Tio intervjuer som spelades in genomfördes med BVC-sjuksköterskor under februari 2013. Svarsmaterialet transkriberades ordagrant och analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Patienter med cardiovaskulär sjukdom kräver i många fall en livslång medicinering där följsamheten till den medicinska behandlingen ofta brister. Följden blir ett lidande för individen med ett försämrat hälsotillstånd. Sjuksköterskans ansvarsområde innefattar att förmedla evidensbaserad kunskap till sina patienter. Syftet är därför att belysa metoder till ökad följsamhet genom sjuksköterskans pedagogiska roll i samband med läkemedels behandling vid cardiovaskulär sjukdom. Introduktion. En människas levnadsvanor påverkar den egna hälsan. Idag är de största folksjukdomarna kopplade till osunda levnadsvanor. Hälsosamtal syftar till att motivera personer till att förändra osunda levnadsvanor och är en viktig uppgift i distriktssköterskans sjukdomsförebyggande arbete. Syfte.

Background: Motivation is a subject that is on everyone's lips in today's knowledge-intensive firms. What is motivation and what are we motivated by? We will, through three case studies, be grappling with the notion to clarify how managers and employees' perception of the concept is different, or possibly similar. Furthermore, the thesis examines whether the theory and practice of motivation are consistent with each other. Purpose: The purpose of our study is to seek understanding of what management within an organization believes are motivating their staff as well as how the staff perceive themselves be motivated by. We ask ourselves if organizations is up to date with the development of what motivates people.
