By that I got interested in research if any of these four key terms was more central for an individual?s motivation within a working team or if all four was as equally central.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate which motivational factors that is important to an individual?s motivation. I will do this by investigate the terms needs, goals, intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors. I want to investigate this by interviewing a number of employees within a working team, including a manager.  My hope is that my thesis will interest managers in working teams, future managers and co-workers that want to learn more about motivation.Problem statement: What factors are important to individual motivation in a working team?   Methodology: I conducted a qualitative study where I gathered data from five persons.

The Swedish teacher education is continuously changing along with the understanding of learning. The teacher education at Södertörn University has an intercultural profile, which is considered modern and innovative. In this essay, students? experiences from their practical training are analyzed to examine the correspondence between teacher practice and the modern teacher role conveyed by the University. The results show that some students have experienced practical training where the standards of the University?s teacher role were met, whereas others feel that they have not received the practical guidance needed to be able to wholly use their education in their future employment.

AimThe aim with this study was to acquire knowledge of mental training and if you can use it in the elementary school to increase in a short period of time the performance in a coordination test. Furthermore we wanted to investigate teachers understanding of the possibilities to perform this kind of training in the elementary school, and if there is support for this in the school regulation.MethodAs method we have used a combination of a literature pre-study, interview and at the end an experiment. Before the experiment and interviews could take place we studied literature about mental training to get a basic knowledge of the subject. The facts we learned from our pre-study and interviews gave us the base for our experiment. The experiment group included 23 pupils in a third class at school situated in Stockholm.

My study is about a preparation class in a selected municipality. It is based on the child¹s perspective, and it tries to highlight the school situation of new arrivals in a school where the majority of the pupils are of Swedish origin. The purpose of my study is to visualize how the education for newly arrived children is organized in the municipality, and to get an understanding of a range of student?s view of the schooling in the preparation class as an introduction to a regular class.To reach my goal, I have used qualitative methods, based on qualitative interviews. The interviews were made with six newly arrived pupils, and one interview was made with the deputy head of the school, which is in charge of immigrant education in the municipality.

BAKGRUND: Motivation och lust är två viktiga faktorer för att elever ska känna och bevara lusten för matematik. För att eleverna ska ta till sig kunskap krävs ett samspel mellan både elev lärare och den miljö de vistas i. Lärarnas förhållningssätt till matematiken och till eleverna har också stor betydelse för deras prestation i matematik.SYFTE: Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur fyra lärare menar att de undervisar för att skapa lust och behålla motivationen i ämnet matematik, hos sina elever i årskurserna 3 till 6.METOD: Min studie är en kvalitativ undersökning där jag använt intervju som redskap.RESULTAT: Studien visar tydligt att lärarna är överens om vad bristen på lust och motivation beror på. Uppfattningen är att detta bland annat beror på brist på tillgång till bättre material, lektionernas utformning och på lärarnas attityder..

Aim: The purpose of the study was to investigate how the assessment and grading is designed and practiced in the practical courses of physical education at GIH - the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, along with how it could affect newly graduated physical education teachers? ability to assess and grade students. The study was based on Habermas?s system and life-world theory.What view occurs concerning proficiencies, basis for assessment and marking among teachers who are responsible for examinations within physical education at GIH?How is the examination structured within physical education at GIH?How are skills and proficiencies among assessment and marking further mediated to students in the teacher education at GIH?Method: The case study was realized by performing qualitative interviews with a total of four teachers at physical education at GIH. Additionally, syllabi were text-analyzed to improve the validity of the study.Results: From the results we found that the teachers experience marking as a complicated assignment, where particularly the didactic ability but also the practical ability form a formative and summative assessment.

Vi som har författat detta arbete har riktat in oss på motivation till sjöss. Vad det är somlockar folk att gå till sjöss och hur upplever de aktiva sjömännen sin tillvaro ombord.Vi har gjort litteraturstudier för att samla in nödvändig fakta om motivation och livsstilar.Vi har även skickat enkäter till rederier för att se vad dom anser om utveklingen till sjöss.Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ metod med enkät frågor riktade till aktiva sjömän,elever som utbildar sig på gymnasienivå till motorman/matros och rederier.I våran studie kom vi fram till att lönen anses vara ett problem när man skall rekryterapersonal till svenska rederier. Den största faktorn som lockar människor till sjömansyrketär det fördelaktiga avlösningssystemet samt den långa sammanhängande ledigheten.För att få svenska sjömän att stanna kvar inom svensk sjöfart så måste näringen ansträngasig mer för att finna lösningar på problemet med att sjömän söker jobb på utländskarederier..

In 1990 the education training program for teachers working with children with special needs was changed. One major difference in the new program compared with the former one is that the specialized teacher is now mainly supposed to supervise teachers instead of teaching pupils who have learning difficulties. The aim of this qualitative interview study has been to find out what the specialized teachers think about there education, and how this could influence children with cognitive disabilities in special schools. I have interviewed six teachers who specialized in teaching pupils with cognitive disabilities. Three of them where educated prior to 1990 and the others were educated after 1990.

ICT and digital artifacts is an important resource in the society, especially in schools. That is why we have chosen to study if and how teachers uses ICT and other digital technology in their education in the history subject. We think that both subjects are important because history is a subject that has to do with the past, the present and the future.We made qualitative interviews with seven teachers from three different schools. We have analyzed if the teachers sees ICT as a burden or a resource in their education and also in which extend they have digital literacy. We have chosen to discuss different authors view on ICT in the education and digital literacy.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka hur elevers motivation till lärande påverkas genom ett temainriktat arbetssätt. Studien utfördes under sex veckor på en skola i Piteå kommun. Klassen där vi utförde vår studie bestod av elever från år 4-5-6. Arbetet med eleverna omfattade ett temaarbete om Australien och Nya Zeeland där eleverna fick jobba i ett utforskande och upplevesebaserat arbete en längre tid och på ett omväxlande sätt där flera skolämnen berördes. Eleverna fick möjlighet att jobba både i grupp och enskilt.

AimThe purpose of this study has been to examine attitudes towards dance in a broad sense, among Swedish schoolchildren. The study has been done with three different questions in mind: What do pupils think and express about dance? Are there any differences in attitude towards dance between girls and boys? And how do the pupils relate to gender conceptions in connection to dance illustrations?MethodEight pupils 12 ? 14 years of age have been interviewed separately during physical education lessons. During parts of the interviews dance illustrations were used in order to encourage the pupils in their discussions, especially when asked to relate to dance and gender conceptions. The statements have been interpreted from a gender theoretical perspective.ResultsMy interview study shows that male pupils to a larger extent than female pupils inhabit hostile feelings towards dance as part of physical education lessons.

The last few years a lot of media air time has been devoted to training, sports, health and weightloss on a more personal level then before. The new media arena is beeing used at its´ maximumto broadcast wievs on how we should eat, look, exercise and live. This thesis is trying to makebetter understanding on what people in general think is important when it comes to physicaltraining and motivation with the aid of digital media and IT systems. The thesis describes aworkshop that was conducted within the frames of Participatory Design and the outcome of thatworkshop. The workshop was conducted with a group of lead users (in this case instructors at avery large fitness center in Umeå, Sweden) and the main question was ?How can IT be used toachive a positive effect on physical exercise if motivation is the focus??.

En kvalitativ studie genomfördes för att studera vad som påverkar och skapar motivation till beteendeförändring hos drogmissbrukare. Studien undersökte också miljöns betydelse för att bryta ett drogmissbruk. En intervjuguide med öppna frågor skapades. Genom ett kriteriebaserat snöbollsurval kontaktades tio personer varav nio män och drogfriheten var i genomsnitt 3.2 år. Enligt drive theories är motivation en drivkraft som ger energi till att sätta igång, upprätthålla och rikta behovsrelaterade mål.

Detta examensarbete handlar om elevers motivation till skönlitterär läsning. Tio elever i år 2 och tio elever i år 5 har svarat på en enkät gällande läsvanor och attityder till läsning. De resultat som den empiriska studien gett fungerar sedan som ett diskussionsunderlag kopplat till den teoretiska bakgrund som ges. Teorin om självbestämmande används som utgångspunkt och resultatet kopplas till inre och yttre typer av motivation. Uppsatsen syftar till att utifrån läsvanor och attityder till läsning utröna likheter och skillnader ur ett motiva-tionsperspektiv de båda åldersgrupperna emellan.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att studera eventuella skillnader i upplevd motivation och självförtroende mellan fotbollslandslagsspelande och icke fotbollslandslagsspelande ungdomar i åldern 14-19. Dessutom studerades eventuella skillnader mellan pojkarna och flickorna inom samma område. Total deltog 471 fotbollsspelande ungdomar varav 282 spelade i landslagen och 189 inte spelade i landslagen, 270 pojkar och 201 flickor. Spelarna fyllde vid ett tillfälle i enkäterna Grit scale, Sport Motivation Scale (SMS), The self-determination scale och Sport Confidence Inventory. Resultaten visade att det fanns skillnader mellan de landslagsspelande och icke landslagsspelande ungdomar inom variablerna upplevd motivation och upplevt självförtroende.
