Inventory management is a key part of a company?s logistics function and is of great importance to companies as it is a substantial cost. It is of high importance for a company to make sure that the warehouse is efficient as possible. In this thesis two factors that hurt a warehouse?s efficiency are introduced; inventory inaccuracies and lead-time variations.This thesis has been dedicated to analyze how inventory inaccuracies and lead-time variations arise and how to eliminate them.To be able to solve this question we have used a qualitative research method.

Övervikt och fetma är idag ett stort problem hos barn och ungdomar, i synnerhet på grund av fysisk inaktivitet och försämrade matvanor. Skolan är en viktig instans i främjandet av barn och ungdomars vanor av fysisk aktivitet. Skolidrott är också viktigt för barn och ungdomars vanor av fysisk aktivitet i ett livslångt perspektiv. Syftet med studien var att belysa ungdomars upplevelser av skolidrott som motivation till fysisk aktivitet. Kvalitativa intervjuer användes som datainsamlingsmetod, följt av innehållsanalys som analysmetod.

För att organisationer ska kunna generera ett bra resultat är medarbetarna en viktig resurs. Hur väl medarbetarna utför sitt arbete beror till stor del på hur motiverade de är. Olika anställda motiveras av olika faktorer, vilket innebär att ledningen måste ta det i beaktande när organisationens ekonomistyrning utformas, för att därmed kunna påverka medarbetarnas handlande och då indirekt deras motivation. Motivationen förekommer i olika former; inre och yttre motivation. Utifrån detta resonemang utgår uppsatsen från frågeställningen ?Hur kan ekonomistyrningens utformning påverka motivationen hos medarbetarna i ett företag??Syftet med denna undersökning är att kartlägga sambandet mellan motivation och ekonomistyrning i ett företag.

The game industry is growing by every year but for some reason the research surrounding it hasn't caught up with its rapid expansion. This study aims at expanding the knowledge surrounding one of those areas, player motivations. An empirical model has been used to identify which interaction has the highest impact on player motivation in story-driven roleplaying-games. By conducting semi-structured interviews with eight different game developers using the GameFlow model to explore the use of interactions to sustain the motivation of the player a new criteria has been identified. This additional criteria was: Alive, and it was shown to have a high impact on motivation in story-driven roleplaying-games.

Studien undersöker hur klienter och kontaktpersoner upplever motivationsarbetet på Frösö LVM-hem. I studien tillämpades både kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod. I ett första skede genomfördes intervjuer med avdelningsföreståndare på samtliga tre avdelningar på institutionen. Detta intervjumaterial användes för utformandet avenkäter som besvarades separat av klienter och kontaktpersoner. Enkäten mäter upplevelsen av motivationsarbete genom skattning av hur viktiga olika insatser och faktorer är för att klienten skall utveckla motivation till fortsatt frivillig vård, hur dessa insatser och faktorer fungerar på Frösö LVM-hem och i vilken omfattninginsatserna tillämpas, samt slutligen klientens egen motivation att fortsätta i frivillig vård.

An increased awareness about the global warming has created a demand for more information on how the climate is affected by different activities.This master thesis was initiated by Tricorona, a Swedish company that offers its customers analysis and calculation of their climate impact. Tricorona also supplies climate neutralisation with CERs, in accordance with the Kyoto protocol and controlled by the UN. This work demands updated emission factors for greenhouse gases. An emission factor gives information about the greenhouse gasintensity of a service or a product [kg CO2-eq./ functional unit].The purpose of this thesis is to examine how electricity, district heating, hotels, taxis, food and materials affect the climate and how emission factors for these areas can be calculated.This was done by reviewing and comparing different studies and by interviewing experts. The information was evaluated and recommendations on calculations and emission factors were made.The consumption of energy is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions for district heating, electricity, hotels, taxis and materials.

Medarbetarna inom en organisation har en betydelsefull roll för verksamhetens utveckling och ledarna har en viktig funktion genom att de i stor utsträckning kan påverka medarbetarna. Syftet med vår undersökning var att fokusera på ledare inom IKEA AB och beskriva hur de arbetar utifrån strategin ?IKEA AB in change? för att skapa förutsättningar som ökar medarbetarnas motivation i arbetet. Vi inriktade oss på motivationsskapande inom områdena ledarskap, kommunikation och kompetens. Studien grundade sig på sammanlagt nio semistrukturerade intervjuer med ledare, HR-manager och fackordförande inom IKEA AB.

A clean and affordable energy source for cooking is deficient in developing countries. People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

To complete an overweight treatment program is associated with better weight loss. Previous studies have in principle focused on drop-out from the entire program, not individual parts of a program. Factors previously shown to influence the patients´ weight loss results are: frequency of individual meetings with a professional, the lack of social support from family or friends, the lack of motivation and in a few studies vacations. In several studies the drop-out patients have stated that their reasons for drop-out were dissatisfaction with the staff and the program design. Drop-out has also been shown to be connected with difficulties in adherence to the diet.

The thesis aims to analyze strategic, cultural and structural aspects of Grameen Bank and its micro-credit project, in order to identify key success factors. A case study was performed with an inductive and qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews. The data was collected by field observations and interviews on site in Dhaka, Bangladesh and surrounding areas.The main conclusion is that the critical success factor of Grameen Bank is the relationship focus, guiding and aligning its strategy, culture and structure. Also, local offices have been observed to utilize practices not permitted by the bank?s management, ultimately increasing the organizational efficiency..

En viss del av den höga motivationen kan härledas till det vinstdelningssystem som de använder. Samarbete har i vår undersökning visat sig vara en faktor som leder till ökad individuell motivation.

Background: The relation between work motivation and well-being are relatively well theoretically entrenched, but few studies have been conducted on nurses within psychiatry. Objective: The aim of the present study was to examine the differences in intrinsic work motivation (autonomy, competence, relatedness), mental health and burnout between young (?40 years) and older (>40 years) nurses employed in psychiatry. Method: The study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design and group comparisons, conducted as a survey. The sample constituted of 60 employed nurses.

Organisationens friskvårdssubventioner består av friskvårdsbidrag och friskvårdstimme.

There will be changes in the accounting regulations in Sweden. Firms will be categorised as K1-K4 firms depending on the size of the company. There will be different levels of accounting in the four categories. Firms will always have the possibility to choose a more advanced accounting regulation than the one they are obligated to due to their size. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate which factors that influence the management in K3 firms in the choice between the K3 and K4 regulation.

Farmers are constantly facing changes, and the exposure to risk requires monitoring these changes. Financial risks, institutional risks, market risks and production risks are the different risk categories that the farmers face. Production risks stems from factors the farmer cannot affect or is beyond his control. The crop?s output is the basis for the primary income of agricultural operations, which is why it is important for farmer to manage their production risk. A tool to reduce the consequences of production risks is crop insurance.
