How do you reed a book? Do you start at the beginning,or do you begin with the end or maybe in the middle? Inmy exam project I elected to work with a photographicpublication about fragments of pictures combined in differentways, changing the context of the photographs andmaking the reader search for the whole picture, literary.During the project I tried to create a method for foldingwhich would make the pictures communicate differentlydepending on how they where stacked against each other.I wanted to explore new ways to read the photo book, andhow the format could be transformed by folding, to beable to show the pictures in a larger scale. Denna rapport beskriver ett examensarbete som gjordes på företaget Motion Control i Västerås AB. Rapporten följer projektets utvecklingssteg och beskriver hur arbetet med att ta fram elektronik och inbyggd programvara för en kommunikationsmodul har framskridit. Kommunikationsmodulen ska fungera som en länk mellan en styrenhet och en I/O-enhet. De inledande delarna av rapporten tar upp undersökningar på kommunikationsprotokollen PROFIBUS och PROFINET som är vanliga kommunikationsmetoder inom industrin. Undersökningarna låg till grund för vilket protokoll som skulle användas i modulen. PROFIBUS valdes och en sådan modul togs fram utifrån de krav som ställdes.

This essay examines how age, power and agency is represented and reproduced in contemporary Swedish picture books.This is done through a combination of discourse analysis and literary analysis.It uses theoretical perspectives from sociology, and views childhood as a social construct. It sees discourse and language use as both representing and constructing social reality in the tradition of Norman Fairclough and critical discourse analysis. The main results is that the discourses of childhood in the material construct children as a separate group in society, and childhood as a special time in life. Fibromyalgi är en sjukdom som involverar symtom såsom kronisk smärta, stelhet och sömnstörningar. Sjukdomens orsak är ännu inte klarlagd. Att leva med kronisk smärta, trötthet och rörelseinskränkningar kan inverka negativt på det dagliga livet. Syftet med studien var att belysa fysisk aktivitets inverkan på sjukdomssymtom samt livskvalité hos patienter med fibromyalgi. Metoden var en litteraturstudie baserad på 20 vetenskapliga artiklar.

This thesis is dealing with how students living in a student corridor experience the circumstances in their corridor. The aim is through interviews with students living in the corridors get a inside look at their situations. I want to examine how changed conditions of life, new meetings and new experiences will influence their personalities. How are the students living in the corridors affected by conflicts and how do they protect themselves from the influence of the rest of the group living there? In addition to that I want to know what they think is important prioritises throughout their student time, like if there are anything important that a student should take time to do beside the studies.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how well vision and strategies communicates from division level to underlying business unit levels with focus on the Balanced Scorecard Concept. The investigation was carried out within the ANS division and two of its underlying business units at the LFV Group (Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services). ANS is responsible for the air navigation services in Sweden and the production of the services is carried out of the business units AER (En Route) and ATA (Tower and Approach). With Air Navigation Services means supervision and conducting air traffic mainly within national air space. The purpose of the services is to insure that air traffic could be carried out in a safe way.The Balanced Scorecard was introduced for the first time in the beginning of the 1990´s.

Många av de rörelseplattformar som finns på marknaden är uppbyggda med hydrauliska komponenter. Det ger ett otympligt, högljutt och väldigt dyrt system som dessutom innehåller den för människan onyttiga kemikalien, hydraulolja. Detta examensarbete för civilingenjör i maskinteknik beskriver design och produktion av en elektrisk rörelseplattform med endast två frihetsgrader. För detta krävdes en mindre studie i de olika rörelseaxlarnas betydelse för hur realistiskt simuleringar upplevs.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka synen på kvinnors rätt till utbildning och kvinnans plats i samhället i samband med riksdagsdebatten om läroverksreformen 1927. Genom denna reform skulle det bli ytterliggare förbättringar, mer lika vilkor för båda könen i vår utbildningshistoria. Utvecklingen av denna reform ledde till att kvinnor skulle få tillträde till de statliga läroverken och därmed kunde avlägga en högre utbildningsexamen. The purpose of this paper is to examine how work and individuals is portrayed in today?s labor market policies and workrelated coaching. To do this I am using discourse analysis. My theoretical points are social constructivism, governmentality, coaching and theories regarding activity. The results portray a picture of work as the foundation of society and the main way to break isolation.

My study focuses on how heterosexuality became, and still is, the norm for sexuality in Namibia. My aim is to through interviewing young academics from University of Namibia and by using discourse analysis, queer- and postcolonial theory, try to find out how these young academics perceive sexuality. My findings are that my respondents perceive heterosexuality to be natural, normal and given by god, and that they perceive homosexuality to be ?a big no-no?. There are certain institutions in the Namibian society that regulates how the Namibian people thinks about sexuality, and my findings are that these are Christianity, culture, family, government, and the traditional picture of a good man and a good woman.

This essay presents a picture of swedish reggae listeners and how their love of music give meaning to their lives and unite them in a sub-culture. Based on interviews with six young men about their involvement in reggae, it also investigates the relationship between music and identity, or more clearly; how identity is expressed through music. Furthermore, I discuss the notion of taste according to Bourdieu, and argue against his statement that taste in music affirms the class and social background of an individual. Results from my empirical data have indicated that reggae music is difficult to associate to a distinct lifestyle, which inclines me to argue that it has managed to transcend phenomena such as ethnicity, class and cultural affiliation..

Det framkommer också att de kan dansa med icke-rörelsehindrade elever och ta del av den sociala gemenskapen samt att inlärningsförmågan och kunskapsnivån höjs.
