Abstract.The question in this analysis is which gender moai, the big statues on Rapa Nui, represent. My hypothesis is that they have developed from visual symbols to metaphores in mythologies from an polynesian context. That these statues were symbols for human origin and creation of ancestors ideological power, and gods in consideration male gender. In the long isolation, in both time and space, the mytologies in Rapa Nui was changed, and the pictures got a new meaning. These changes depended on clearing of wood and big trees and the following difficult situation in farming.

This project is implemented as a thesis at the Royal Institute of Technology in the master?s degree program Integrated Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering. The project has involved development and efficiency of a free starter package for expectant parents with useful content consisting of useful products for both before and after childbirth. Areas that have been investigated include packaging development, service design and appropriate content for the package.During the work, theory about packaging design, materials, manufacturing techniques and logistics have been processed to base the further work on. The project process has involved competitor analysis and interviews with store owners and customer surveys, that have been conducted to identify areas for improvement of the current solution.

On the advice of Queen Herodias, Salome's mother, she asks the head of prophet John on a platter. To investigate whether the mothers intake of omega-3 during pregnancy and lactation affects the child?s future development of allergy is therefore of high interest.Objective To examine if omega-3 supplement given to mothers during pregnancy, or pregnancy and lactation, is shown to be beneficial in children with heredity to develop allergy.Search strategy Articles were collected from the data bases PubMed, Cochrane and Scopus.

The purpose of this study is to establish how a few youngsters have experienced their time in contact families and which, if any, significance their respective ?contact families? has for them today. The study aims to determine the life situation in the youth?s families at the time support through ?contact families? was initiated and the youths? own view of the reasons for this support. We also want to shed light on the meaning that the contact families had on the youth; considering both positive as well as negative meaning.

Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur förälderns alkoholmissbruk påverkar kommunikationen med barnet och hur barnets utveckling påverkas. Syftet besvarades genom öppna frågor till barn till föräldrar med alkoholmissbruk. Deltagarna i studien är fyra barn mellan 14 och 15 år gamla och en mamma till två barn på 11 och 14 år.

Tanken med denna uppsats är att utifrån ett idéhistoriskt perspektiv försöka belysa fundamentet och framväxtenav den kristna koptiska kyrkan i Egypten. Med hänsyn tagen till såväl den sociokulturella och teologiska sompolitiska historien är mitt syfte att framgent kunna presentera vilka komponenter det är som kan ha bidragit tilldess ecclesiala institution vars uttryck manifesteras genom liturgiska riter, symbola samt trosföreställning.Som uppsats betraktat är den deskriptiv med inslag av argumenterande karaktär. Det innebär att det förekommerkomparabla reflektioner i syftet att teologiskt kunna presentera om det ur ett koptiskt inifrånperspektiv finnsnågon icke-kristen faktor i trosföreställningen vars dignitet i så fall skulle kunna vara den sammanhållandelänken för deras syn på den egna tron. På grund av detta är det nödgat att dels göra några historiska nedslag i denfornegyptiska religionen för att utröna vilka element det är som kan ha fått en kristen överbyggnad, och dels omden egyptiska mytologiska samt kosmologiska världen ligger till grund för delar av den koptisk kristna filosofin.Slutsatsen jag kom fram till är att det fornegyptiska arvet spelar som förväntat en stor roll. Kopterna är stoltaöver sitt ursprung och lever i en miljö vilken i allra högsta grad fortfarande vittnar om det forntida egyptiskaimperiets storhet.

After I heard that two deadly accidents in farming 2003 were created by work with cattle, I got the idea of writing this degree project. So far there are not too many reports written about safety for the worker nor the animal. Therefore it will fit in with a report about safe handling of free stalled cattle. The Swedish Board of Agriculture would also like to do an information material about outside stalled cattle with this degree project as a background. The collecting of material was made by visiting farmers. The goal was to visit 15 ? 20 herds and when this is being written 19 herds have been visited.

The aim of this paper is to investigate and analyze practices in multilingual classrooms of mathematics in a compulsory school in Sweden where immigrant students have been known to succeed. The school is situated in a suburban and segregated area outside a major city where pupils come from mainly limited socio-economic backgrounds. The rate of second language learners are 70% of all pupils in this school.By using ethnographic methods, mainly interviews and participant observation, data was collected in four mathematics classrooms which corresponded to consecutive ages of education. The data include field notes and observation of artifacts in the environment as well as interviews and informal conversations with teachers and school leadership. Information from the school website, the authority in charge of quality in Swedish schools (Skolverket) and the municipality were also used.The analysis is based on a socio-political viewpoint that power is relational and reflected within schools.

The most suitable method to answer the issues of this study was to do a combined literature- and questionnaire study. The literature part of the study was based on Original Research articles, Review Articles and books with a list of reference literature after each chapter and the purpose was to answer the questions ?What feed items should be given to rabbits in different life stages? and ?Which problems may develop from an inadequate diet?? Two questionnaires were constructed. One was sent by e-mail to small animal veterinary hospitals to be answered anonymously by veterinary nurses. The other was linked to from two internet forums, that with rabbits as their focus.

By providing the right measures in time when it comes to nutrition the mortality can be reduced considerably.Objective: To examine and summarise the scientific ground when it comes to the best nutrition therapy for preterm children and children born with a low birth weight.Search strategy: A systematic literature search was done in the databases Pubmed, Cohrane and Scopus.

Most of the beef production in Sweden has been integrated with milk production. Since the 1990:s, the number of dairy cows has decreased. A specialised beef production has developed in purpose to compensate for this decrease. The consumption of beef have increased in the last decade, but the Swedish production has no followed this trend. In 2004, the percentage of beef self-sufficiency in Sweden was 60 %.
