Många företag använder affärssystem som innehåller funktioner och rutiner för att bedriva affärsverksamhet. Idag använder ofta företag traditionella affärssystem, det vill säga, egenutvecklade eller standardsystem för att stödja företagets processer. Dessa system kräver i många fall att verksamheten avsätter stora resurser för att implementera, drifta och förvalta dem. Molnbaserade tjänster är en relativt ny teknik som kan hjälpa företag att bedriva affärsprocesser.

This thesis examines the conditions for participation in the decision making process of a possible mine establishment in Storuman municipality in the north of Sweden. This is done through a case study where the main actors are the Mining company Nickel Mountain AB, the municipality Storuman and the Sami village Vapsten. As a theoretical framework Cecilia Eriksson?s division of democratic theories is used as a starting point. Methods as described in deliberative democratic theory, such as discussion by effected community members, are seen as a method within the participatory democratic tradition, not a theory of its own.

The aim is to develop a new decision-making model for credit-loans. The model will be specific for credit applicants of the OKQ8 bank, becauseit is based on data of earlier applicants of credit from the client (the bank). The final model is, in effect, functional enough to use informationabout a new applicant as input, and predict the outcome to either the good risk group or the bad risk group based on the applicant?s properties.The prediction may then lay the foundation for the decision to grant or deny credit loan.Because of the skewed distribution in the response variable, different sampling techniques are evaluated. These include oversampling with SMOTE, random undersampling and pure oversampling in the form of scalar weighting of the minority class.

The environmental demands are increasing when it comes to product development. EcoDesign isabout minimizing the environmental impact of a product, considering the entire life cycle of it,without compromising other qualities like function or cost. In this master of science thesis amobile phone has been analysed with Ten Golden Rules in EcoDesign regarding production, useand End of Life. Also a functional and an environmental profile were made. The goal was tomake a new concept phone, based on the previous analysis, which communicates userfriendlinessand sustainable development.

Detta underhållsarbete medför därför ett behov av att anskaffa reservdelar, en process som bör bedrivas effektivt för att undvika produktionsstopp.Studien har genomförts på Boliden Minerals AB i Kristineberg, vars reservdelsförsörjningsprocess inte upplevts som optimal. Detta medförde att studien ämnat till att studera den nuvarande reservdelsförsörjningsprocessen, att effektivisera reservdelsförsörjningsprocessen och att utreda vilka utmaningar som kan uppstå vid en förändring av denna samt hur dessa ska kunna hanteras för ett effektivt förändringsarbete.

To do this, the thesis uses theoretical concept of everday resistance as it has been described by JamesC. Scott and the theories of cultural hybridity as they have been described by Peter Burke. Primary source material used in this thesis consists of the court records from Torne lappmark, specifically from the courts at Jukkasjärvi and Enontekis.The results of this thesis present a picture of the everyday resistance in early modern Torne lappmark.

Many companies have historically forced their interests through without any thoughts about the future needs of the humans and the society. In the last few years voices have been raised for a change, companies need to take their responsibility regarding sustainable development.The purpose of the report is to describe and explain possible relations between sustainabil-ity performance of companies and profitability, valuation, industry and size respectively.To be able to judge the sustainability performance of the companies Folksam (2006a) have been used. This is a solid investigation of the companies listed on the A- and O-lists of the Stockholm Stock Exchange by the end of 2005. The sustainability marks have been com-pared with the chosen key values for each hypothesis respectively. With this quantitative data as foundation, a quantitative approach and a deductive method have been used.In the first area of the investigation, profitability, the authors found correlation for the main hypothesis between sustainability performance and ?Return on Total Assets? through a statistical test.

According to recent statistics the construction industry is responsible for the largest waste discharges of both dangerous and non-dangerous waste, when disregarding the "non-dangerous" amount of granite waste produced by the Mining industry and the waste produced by the pulp and paper industry. Preventive work within waste management is an ongoing practice so to be able to reduce negative environmental effects. One of the most common actions for the companies to take is to separate the different kinds of waste from one another at the construction site. Although by working with the problem in earlier stages of the process a large amount of the waste could already have been reduced.Companies in the construction business that are actively working to decrease environmental impact in their operations often use an EMS (Environmental Management System). By using environmental management as method the company can manage their environmental work so that actions can be taken where they are needed the most.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att hitta en modell för hur man skall sätta köpnivåer på reservdelar utifrån ett kund- och lönsamhetsperspektiv. Författarna har valt att dela upp arbete i fyra faser. Undersökningen har till stor del bestått av intervjuer och workshops med en stor mängd intressenter i Sverige, Kanada och USA. Respondenterna består av kunder, leverantörer, och personer inom Atlas Copco som direkt berörs av vilken köpnivå företaget erbjuder.

Följande rapport behandlar genomförandet av det examensarbete som utgör avslutet på Civilingenjörsutbilnildningen inom maskinteknik med inriktning mot konstruktion vid Luleå tekniska universitet, Luleå. Arbetet har utförts av Johan Marklund i ett nära samarbete med JAMA Mining Machines, Skelleftehamn. Den största delen av utvecklingsarbetet har skett på plats hos JAMA med endast ett antal avstämningsmöten med extern handledare på LTU i Luleå. Det huvudsakliga målet i arbetet är att skapa en ny konstruktion för midjeleden på det chassie som ett antal av JAMAs maskiner baseras på. Denna nya konstruktion ska klara större belastningar med ett lägre servicebehov som sammantaget ger maskinerna större tillgänglighet.

I augusti 2010 inträffade en olycka i San José-gruvan i Chile. Olyckan resulterade i att 33 gruvarbe-tare blev fast i ett skyddsrum i över två månader innan de kunde räddas. Händelsen fick ett stort utrymme i media världen över. I vår studie har vi utmanat medielogiken genom att testa tre ny-hetsvärderingsteorier utifrån aftonbladet.ses och dn.ses nyhetsrapportering kring gruvolyckan. Tidningarna valdes därför att de är Sveriges största kvälls- respektive morgontidning.

De allra flesta av oss kommer ständigt i kontakt med olika dataflöden vilket har blivit en helt naturlig del av vårt nutida informationssamhälle. Dagens företag agerar i en ständigt föränderlig omvärld, och hantering av data och information har blivit en allt viktigare konkurrensfaktor. Detta i takt med att den totala datamängden i den digitala världen har ökat kraftigt de senaste åren. En benämning för gigantiska datamängder är Big Data, som har blivit ett populärt begrepp inom IT-branschen. Big Data kommer med helt nya analysmöjligheter, men det har visat sig att många företag är oroliga för hur de ska hantera och ta tillvara på de växande datamängderna.
