SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att jämföra hur föreningsaktiva respektive icke föreningsaktiva elever uppfattar ämnet idrott och hälsa i årskurs 9 samt vilken betydelse kön och aktivitetsgrad har för betyget.Skiljer sig attityden till idrott och hälsa i skolan mellan föreningsaktiva och icke föreningsaktiva samt mellan könen?Finns det skillnader i betyg mellan elever med olika aktivitetsnivåer samt mellan könen i ämnet idrott och hälsa?Skiljer sig uppfattningen av tävlingsmomentet inom ämnet idrott och hälsa för föreningsaktiva respektive icke föreningsaktiva, samt om det är någon grupp som gynnas av tävlingen?Hur uppfattar elever i årskurs 9 kraven som ställs inom ämnet idrott och hälsa?MetodFör att samla in de data som behövdes för studien användes en kvantitativ enkätmetod. Urvalsgruppen bestod av fem högstadieskolor varav 341 elever i årskurs nio deltog. Svarsfrekvensen uppnådde 78 %. Enkätsvaren behandlades statistiskt med hjälp av GoogleDocs samt Microsoft Excel. ResultatResultaten visar att föreningsaktiva får högre betyg, har en mer positiv attityd och upplever större förmåga att klara de krav som ställs i ämnet idrott och hälsa än vad icke föreningsaktiva gör.

SammanfattningHur går en organisation från att vara informationsrik till att bli insiktsfull - och hur tar man bästa beslut utifrån denna insikt? Det strömmar otroligt stora mängder data genom produktion- och tillverkningssystem. Företag saknar ofta kunskap kring hur denna information skall användas. Data mining är de verktyg som kan användas för att ta reda på den informationen. Genom att upptäcka mönster och relationer i stora mängder data har Data mining gjort det möjligt att finna den kunskap man tidigare inte trodde fanns.

This study aimed to evaluate the levels of formaldehyde and organic acids that can build up within enclosed spaces. Another goal was to compare two types of paints that can be used as coating barriers within showcases and in turn compare them to the modern, and by many highly recommended, material of Marveseal®. A low volatile waterborne alkyd/acrylate paint and a two component polyurethane paint was compared to Marveseal® in two series of experiments. One series measured the level of formaldehyde, and thus the effectiveness of the three chosen barriers, and the other series measured the level of volatile organic acids, both the acids emitted from the paint itself, and that of the wood. One box in each series were not treated at all and was used as a reference.The fact that different types of materials emit volatile organic compounds have long been known.

Detta Examensarbete är utfört på pappersbruket Wargön, Holmen Paper AB. Wargön säljer sitt papper genom sina tre varumärken och varje varumärke har tre gramvikter. De mesta av papperet säljs i rullform men en del säljs i färdigklippta ark. Wargön vill kunna erbjuda sina kunder specifika pappersformat på arken vilket medför att pappersformaten kan variera. Den verkliga ledtiden är längre än vad kunden accepterar och därför behövs en buffert.

Kina har blivit ett finansiellt centrum i världen då stora som små investerare ser potentialen av ett land med hög ekonomisk tillväxt och investeringsalternativ med stora vinstmöjligheter. Vi har värderat de åtta största bankerna i Kina och jämfört med de åtta största bankerna i EU. Detta eftersom bankerna i Kina står för nära 50 procent av värdet av Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx). Vi har använt oss av beta-värdena och avkastningskraven på respektivebank för att kunna värdera samtliga banker i vår undersökning. Med dessa resultat från värderingen har vi kunnat analysera och hitta svar på vår frågeställning.

I detta examensarbete behandlas flöden av material hos Scania CV AB i Oskarshamn, där Scanias lastbilshytter tillverkas. I Oskarshamn finns flera verkstäder där hytter byggs upp stegvis, den sista verkstaden är en monteringsverkstad. I monteringsverkstaden sker all produktion på taktade monteringslinor vilka försörjs med material. Detta examensarbete innefattar enbart arbetet i monteringsverkstaden. I arbetet behandlas flödet av boxar, vilket är lådor som används som lastbärare i produktionen, från att materialet kommit in i monterings-verkstaden tills det står vid monteringslinan.Scania har som mål att säkra en högre produktionstakt inom de närmaste åren.

Wastewater treatment is increasingly controlled by the Swedish environmental quality objectives, adopted by the Swedish parliament. There is a need for a sewage system that can fulfill stringent requirements concerning the environment, recycling and resource use and hygiene. Additional environmental aspects in recent years are the impact of climate change, new knowledge about the effects of pharmaceuticals in water, the need for improved wastewater treatment and increased recycling of nutrients to agriculture. This report has, from a future scenario of the year 2050, analyzed seven different systems for wastewater treatment and treatment of compostable biowaste from households in Eskilstuna. A future scenario was chosen based on that within a forty year period new challenges may arise which can result in higher demands on sewage treatment than those we see today. Another reason why the future scenario was established is that changes in wastewater treatment systems are slow to establish. The analysis is mainly focused on the economical aspects but environmental aspects such as emissions to receiving waters and potential recycling of plant nutrients has also been evaluated briefly.

The governing set of regulations for structural engineering in Sweden used to be Boverket, BKR. However in the beginning of the 21st century a changeover to new regulations, the Eurocodes, started.The transition was completed in year 2011 when the Eurocodes became the mandatory design work policy for all countries within the European Union. The Eurocodes were implemented to simplify and remove potential barriers to trade that may exist when countries have different design rules.  Since the changeover it has been important for all construction companies to update their knowledge base and their design software.When comparing the two calculation processes they seem similar, but there are a couple of differences worth noting.  With the new regulations, engineers will find that the process when designing joints in timber structures has changed.  What used to be a fairly easy and straight forward calculation procedure has now become tedious and time consuming.The objective of this degree project is to present a product, a dimensioning tool that will help structural engineers when computing lateral load carrying joints in timber structures.The degree project is made up of two parts where the first part is the written report describing the background and theory behind load carrying computations. The second part of the project is the actual dimensioning tool which includes several worksheets in Microsoft Excel. The program treats single and double shear connections of the following:Nail jointsScrew jointsSteel plates (thick and thin types) The user can edit the following parameters:Type of plate/ number of shearsStrength class of timber membersMember and plate sizeType of fastenerDiameter of fastenerLength of fastenerYield moment of fastenerkmod and partial factors for design load carrying capacityThe dimensioning tool was created and developed in collaboration with structural engineers at the company Byggteknik AB.

A debate in finance is whether a random investment gives the same return as carefully choose and valuing an amount of shares to invest in. Stock valuating Stock valuation is often done by fundamental valuation models, based on the company's underlying character, which tries to put a correct price on the stock. Today there are several different valuation models that can be used for this purpose. Since valuation models are only mathematical, equity research is underpinned by more subjective assessments about the company and its future.The purpose with this thesis is to describe which valuation models that are used by professional stock analysts, but also to see if the reliability on the equity research is affected by the used model to valuing the company. Furthermore, we want to see if the job that?s been done to understand the company, measured by the equity research quality, impact the reliability on the equity research.In this thesis, we have, to achieve our purpose, conducted a quantitative content analysis of 164 equity research done by professional analysts at firms listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. With basis in previous research, we have developed a method for determining the valuation model that is used in the equity research, the reliability on the equity research and a framework for assessing the quality of the equity research.In the theoretical framework the valuation models involved in our study are described, previous research on the reliability on the equity research and their practical use.

Efter ett antal företagsskandaler bestämde sig Sverige för, som många andra länder, att utveckla en kod för bolagsstyrning. Den första kom att träda i kraft 2005 och 2008 började en reviderad version gälla. Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning är ett regelverk för företag registrerade på börsen. Den innehåller regler och rekommendationer om valberedning, styrelsesammansättningar och arbetsuppgifter för styrelser. I arbetet har vi velat ta reda på i vilket avseende bolag väljer att frångå koden och om detta skulle kunna leda till minskat förtroende för bolagen.

Genom åren har många företag inom nya branscher startats med hjälp av riskkapital. Utan riskkapital hade troligen inte företag som Apple Computer, Microsoft, Intel, Federal Express, Sun Microsystems och Compaq Computer sett dagens ljus. Alla dessa företag startades med hjälp av riskkapitalbolag som valt att finansiera dessa företagsidéer för att sedan sälja dessa företag ut på den publika aktiemarknaden.För att en entreprenör ska få möjlighet att utveckla en idé och/eller en produkt så är finansieringen från riskkapitalbolagen helt avgörande och har fått allt större betydelse för samhället i termer av fler arbetstillfällen och på marknaden i termer av produkter eller tjänster. Denna betydelse för samhället och marknaden gjorde att vårt intresse för denna studie byggts upp och detta ledde till vår problemformulering:Hur ser investeringsprocessen ut när riskkapitalbolag väljer att investera i ett tillväxtföretag och vilka problem uppstår under vägen?För att få en förståelse för denna problemformulering tillämpade vi kvalitativ metod.

Många företag går idag mot ökad specialisering eftersom konkurrensen inom de flesta branscher ökar. Detta har lett till ett ökat behov av kalkyler och att fler personer i företagen gör dessa. För BooForssjö AB, som är verksamma inom trävarubranschen, har senaste tiden präglats av höga råvarupriser, stark krona och sviktande marknad. För att skapa högre effektivitet och en bättre lönsamhet kommer företaget nu att sätta större fokus på hyvling, impregnering och vidareförädling av företagets produkter. Syftet med det här examensarbetet har varit att ta fram en produktkalkylmodell som ska ge företaget underlag för hur verksamheten går och hur den kan förbättras.De vetenskapliga metoder som används är deskription, kvantifiering och modellering.

The aim of this master thesis is to show how the dissemination of scientific information took place and developed during the 19th century. The main focus is Lund University. Therefore I have formulated two questions: How did the five heads of the history department at Lund University publish their research findings in the 19th century? What factors in society influenced the scientific spreading of results in the 19th century? To assess the scientific reliability of the sources I have used a method based on source criticism and hermeneutics. The thesis covers important concepts such as the exchange of publications between the universities, commercium litterarium and Akademischer Tauschverein and also the development of Lund University yearbook.
