The purpose of this study is to examine the expiration day effect on a stocks volatility due to stock option expiration, which is every third Friday in the month on Stockholm stock exchange. Volatility is the standard deviation of a stock. It measures the uncertainty about a stocks future movement. When volatility increases, the chance or probability of a stock going up or down increases. It?s a common rumor among stock traders that stock volatility tends to increase nearby expiration day.

Konkurrensen mellan kommunerna i Sverige har ökat på grund av den ekonomiska globaliseringen, den informationsteknologiska utvecklingen och till följd av den nationella ekonomiska omstruktureringen. Idag är det inte längre inom industrisamhället som den mesta tillväxt genereras utan kunskapssamhället har fått en allt större betydelse. Luleå kommun är en kommun som antagit en vision för att få till stånd en utveckling och tillväxt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera policyprocessen som ledde fram till att Vision 2010 antogs i Luleå kommun samt diskutera ifall Vision 2010 utifrån trippel helix-teorin kan vara ett medel för att skapa den önskvärda tillväxten? För att kunna besvara syftet i uppsatsen har jag ställt följande frågor: ? Vad bygger visionen på för resonemang? ? Hur har visionen tagits fram? ? Vilka intressenter står bakom framtagandet av visionen? Studien består av två delar: utvecklandet av en teoretisk modell för att kunna analysera och förstå processen samt en analys av policyprocessen kring Vision 2010 i Luleå kommun.

The purpose of this study is to describe if and how a seasonal based company named SkiStar, learns through the exchange of experience and knowledge. We have analyzed gathered qualitative and empirical data to explore this subject. We conducted three semi-structured group interviews with employees from the SkiStarshop division. They described their routines and procedures in SkiStarshop. The collected data was processed and analyzed through our theoretical framework.

Denna rapport beskriver arbetet med att designa och utveckla en plattform för simulering ochutvärdering av olika tradingsystem.Det viktigaste kravet som sattes upp i examenarbetets förstudie var att åstakomma en flexibel ochutbyggbar grunddesign för att man vid senare tillfälle ska kunna uttöka systemet vartefter behov avmer funktionalitet uppstår i en snabbt föränderlig finansiell värld. Vidare skulle Microsofts allrasenaste teknik användas.Resultatet blev systemet Trader som är en modulbaserad applikation med tydliga riktlinjer för hurmoduler ska laddas, skapas, initieras samt hur de kommunicerar med varandra utan överflödigaberoenden. Vägen dit gick via inlärning av diverse designmönster och designprinciper. Omfattandeanvändning av händelser och kommandon för kommunikation mellan olika moduler samtprogrammerandet mot interface istället för konkreta objekt i alla lägen gav få beroenden och enflexibel och utbyggbar grunddesign.Trader kan koppla upp sig mot börsen för att hämta kursdata. Denna data kan sedan användas för attutvärdera hur olika tradingsystem skulle ha presterat i olika tidsintervall.

This study investigates whether the permanent measurement bias (PMB) has changed over time for Swedish companies listed on the Stockholm Stock exchange at least one year during 1996-2000 or 2005-2010. By using the Residual Income Valuation-model the markets' implicit value on PMB is generated through reversed engineering, as values for all variables except PMB are entered such as the market perceived them at the specific valuation date each year. This implicit value is classified into industries and then sorted by their median. Statistical tests are performed to see if there is a difference between the industry median and the accounting-based values on PMB. The difference from period one to period two is also statistically tested for.The study finds that the implicit values on PMB have changed somewhat between the periods; however the fluctuations are not statistically significant.

En ökande vildsvinspopulation (Sus scrofa L.) i Sverige har medfört problem för samhället i form av skador på jordbruksmark och ökat antal trafikolyckor. På grund av vildsvinets ekologi och beteende är det svårinventerat. Indirekta metoder används därför ofta för att uppskatta populationen. Syftet med denna studie var att testa hypoteserna att det finns ett samband mellan avskjutning och trafikolyckor med vildsvin och att en ökad population inte behöver innebära ökad avskjutning. Två delsyften var även att undersöka vildsvinets utbredning i Sverige och om dess populationstillväxt (r) varierar mellan länen.

Results have shown that flow batteries may be a solution in the future as an effective and environmental friendly method to an energy storage system (ESS). The technology is reliable and has a high efficiency that comes with low energy losses and a long lifetime. The range of possible fields is suitable for cutting energy peaks in the power grid, by always have a ready and available energy storage that balances the production. By comparing the advantages of flow batteries with conventional batteries it is mainly the fact that they can conserve energy for a long time without being self-discharged thanks to that the storage capacity is in principle endless and limited by the size of the electrolytes tanks that makes them a great energy storage system. The batteries won?t take any damage or decrease in performance when charging or discharging it or if you exhausts it to 100 % and leave it discharged for a long time.

The dishwasher is a wide spread product that occurs in many households. It saves the user time,water and energy. When using a dishwasher instead of doing dishes by hand a lot of energy issaved.The importance of lowering the energy consumption does not only come from the consumerwinnings but also from an environmental point of view. Scientists are certain that the globalwarming comes from the emission of green house gasses that is created by human consumptionof oil, gas and coal.Dishwashers today are a lot more energy efficient than older dishwashers, but there are stillmargins to lower the energy consumption. The aim with this project is to investigate thedishwasher and it?s washing cycle, noting different phases and components that contribute towaste of energy.

The purpose of this investigation is to study how librarians experience bookcrossing. We focused on the two following questions: Which variations are there in librarians conceptions of bookcrossing as literature exchange and reading support activity? Which variations are there in librarians conceptions of bookcrossing compared to other methods of literature exchange and reading support? Bookcrossing is an international book club where you share your books by leaving them at public places. The thesis is focused on librarians? conceptions and not the conceptions of members of bookcrossing.

The decomposition of organic carbon in drained peat soils is a major source of carbon di-oxide in Sweden. A big part of these drained peat soils are used in agriculture and it is a big challenge to slow down their decomposition. It has earlier been thought that less tilling and higher water table levels would decrease the activity of soil microbes and thereby the decomposition, but recent experiments has showed that this has little or no effect. In this bachelor thesis a field experiment was made on drained peat soil with ley, outside Björklinge, Uppsala municipality, Sweden. The experiment was carried out in May 2011. The objective was to develop a method to examine how the net exchange of carbon diox-ide from plant covered peat soil is affected by temperature and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR).

We have used interviews for our collection of raw data.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet i studien var tvådelat, dels avsågs att analysera vad orienteringslitteraturen skriver om träning, dels att jämföra hur svenska elitorienterare tränade på 1980-talet och år 2010.Frågeställningar till källanalysen: Vad skriver orienteringslitteraturen om träningsupplägg, mental träning och mentala faktorer som påverkar prestationen samt tränarrollen?Frågeställningar kring hur elitorienterare tränade på 1980-talet jämfört med år 2010: Vilka skillnader och likheter i träningsupplägg bland kvinnor och män finns det mellan 1980-talet och år 2010? Har tränarrollen förändrats? Varifrån får elitorienterare sin kunskap om hur de ska lägga upp sin träning?MetodDe metoder som användes i studien var källanalys och enkätundersökning. De källor som analyserats är fem böcker som handlar om orienteringsträning. Respondenterna till enkäten var de som var landslagsaktiva under 1980-talet samt de som var det år 2010. Antalet respondenter var 13 från 1980-talet och 14 från år 2010.ResultatDe viktigaste resultaten i studien var att det finns både skillnader och likheter i vad som ingår i en elitorienterares träningsupplägg på 1980-talet jämfört med år 2010.

Genom att aggregeraenergiskatten, CO2 skatten samt priserna på utsläppsrätter och Elcertifikat samt att faktorisera inbetydelsen av kraftkällor analyserar den här uppsatsen om det är kostnadsminimerande att införaelbilar år 2010 eller år 2020 för att reducera CO2 utsläppen.

In other words if the news of the Spin-off gives an abnormal return on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during the specific period of 1998?2008. In addressing this, the paper will also investigate the following sub sections: are there any differences in the abnormal returns in various sectors and what the reasons to perform a spin?off in the Swedish market are.MethodAn event study in which market data is used to measure specific events? impact on the value of the company and on the effects on the stock market.

It could be argued that theories about gender are something that should be a part of every upper secondary school teachers agenda (knowledge base), because the Swedish curriculum specifically says that schools must encourage and work for equal rights between men and women.The students are supposed tobe encouraged to develop their interest, without judgment, about what femininity and masculinity is.This essay is aiming to find out how gender is used in the teacher program at Södertörns Högskola. The main focus of the essay is to see the possible differences between the curriculum of 2010 and 2013. Using quantitative and qualitative content analysis this essay is aiming to examine how gender words are used in the syllabus, study manuals and literature lists for Educational science A (2010) and Educational science I (2013). In what way are gendered terms, like boy, girl heterosexuality and man, part of the text material? Who is represented in the material? And are there any differences between 2010 and 2013?The results show that there is a difference.
