The accounting scandals that have attracted attention in recent years have led to internal control becoming a more central part of business activity. Doubts about what firms actually do have increased, all caused by the attention of accounting scandals. To counter this, frameworks and laws evolved and gained a significant role in the organization and its surroundings. The aim of the present study is to find out how four companies in the Kristianstad region are working to ensure its internal control and how they work to minimize risk and reduce uncertainty. We have used a qualitative method and interviewed a person in a senior position in each company.

Vårt syfte med denna uppsats har vart att undersöka om den sekundära bostadsmarknaden påverkar socialarbetarna i arbetet med hemlösa klienter som har eller haft missbruksproblematik. Då vi ansåg att det är socialarbetarnas upplevda verklighet som är av störst intresse valde vi att utföra kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra socialarbetare. Intervjuguiden formades med hjälp av Michael Lipskys bok Street-level Bureaucracy (2010) i vilken han beskriver sin teori om gräsrotsbyråkrats yrket, denna bok har även genomsyrat hela arbetet och sedan använts som ett verktyg i analysen av vår empiri. Bakgrunds avsnittet avser att ge en vid förståelse av hur komplex hemlöshetsproblematiken är, för att sedan i tidigare forskning smalna av till den forskning som behandlar vår syfte mer specifikt. Vi kommer i vår avslutande diskussion argumentera för att den sekundära bostadsmarknaden påverkar socialarbetarna på olika sätt då de måste acceptera hyresvärdarnas krav.

Under det nya seklets början har den svenska snusmarknaden karaktäriserats av en ökande konkurrens efter att under en lång period i princip ha varit en monopolmarknad för det tidigare statliga bolaget Swedish Match. Uppsatsen har syftat till att undersöka de inträdesbarriärer som uppstickarna mött i sina försök att penetrera en marknad som karaktäriseras av ovanligt hög varumärkeslojalitet, marknadsföringsförbud och i vissa fall distributionssvårigheter och därefter analysera hur dessa kan övervinnas med hjälp av marknadsföringsverktyg. Arbetet har en kvalitativ och hermeneutisk prägel och tar sin utgångspunkt i Michael porters ?Barriers to entry?-modell, Kotlers ?Push- och Pull strategier? samt ?Marketing Mix?-modellen och fokuserar i första hand på bolagen Skruf Snus AB och Fiedler & Lundgren där nyckelpersoner intervjuats. Undersökningen visade att företagen använt sig av olika strategier för att penetrera inträdesbarriärerna med hjälp av marknadsföringsverktyg.

Syftet med denna studie är att öka kunskapen om vilka förutsättningar personal inom socialt arbete har för att kunna arbeta med säkrare sex med särskilt riskutsatta ungdomar och unga vuxna. För att undersöka detta har en enkätundersökning genomförts som skickats ut till fältverksamheter samt öppenvårdsmottagningar som i någon utsträckning tar upp området alkohol och droger. Enkäten har skickats ut till 89 verksamheter i Skånes samtliga 33 kommuner. Sammanlagt har 229 svar inkommit, vilket motsvarar en svarsfrekvens på 60,1 procent. Här framkommer att personalen har begränsade förutsättningar att arbeta med säkrare sex och att de organisatoriska resurserna för att stödja detta arbete brister.

I den här undersökningen studerar jag vilka sociala innebörder som husdjursägare tilldelar sina husdjur, och hur husdjursrelationen på så sätt kan bli möjlig som en meningsfull relation mellan människa och djur. Jag har utfört fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med personer som har olika husdjur eller sällskapsdjur, och analyserat intervjuerna med Michael Billigs diskurspsykologiska, dilemmatiska ansats. Husdjursägarna tilldelar sina husdjur tvetydiga innebörder utifrån vilken syn de har på husdjurets medvetande, dess plats i kulturen, dess förhållande till tid, samt des förmåga till kommunikation. Husdjuret behandlas omväxlande som ett djur och som en varelse med mänsklig karaktär. Jag har kunnat finna samma tvetydiga förhållande till husdjur i välkända filosofiska texter, och drar därmed slutsatsen att vårt förhållningssätt till husdjur är en del av vårt samhälles sunda förnuft och har formen av ett dilemma mellan mänskligt och djuriskt.

In Sweden, many children in compulsory school attend after-school recreation centres. All children are offered local after-school recreation centre attendance in the age 6-12 during their parents? work hours. Our aim with this Master thesis is to investigate how after-school recreation centres can use libraries to stimulate children?s own interest to read.

I dagens samhälle ser inte arbetsplatsernas sociala miljö likadan ut som förr, idag krävs det mer både utav anställda och arbetsgivare när det kommer till att se efter de sociala relationerna. Nyckeln till framgång inom många stora företag sägs vara kommunikation och samarbetsförmåga. Mycket ansvar läggs på den som leder gruppen med anställda och ett företags framgång hänger ofta ihop med hur en ledare styr sin personal. Dagens arbete skiljer sig från förr i tiden, idag krävs det att anställda och personalansvariga är mycket mer flexibla, har samarbetsförmåga och är motiverade att utföra sitt arbete. Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv förstå relationen mellan ledare och grupp och belysa ledarens roll i sammanhanget.

Bakgrund och problem: Flygfältsbyrån AB, med det rörelsedrivande dotterbolaget FBEngineering (FBE), förvärvade AEC år 1999. På grund av de senaste årens minskadeefterfrågan har de varit tvungna att reducera antalet anställda eftersom företaget gåttmed förlust. Det kan delvis bero på att de har haft en otydlig strategi och blivit vadMichael E. Porter kallar ?stuck in the middle?.

This thesis is intended to respond to the extent to which South African textbooks on the subject of history is linked to the governmental policy documents and whether they are producing and reproducing national identity. The two textbooks are aimed at students in grade 10. Both books were produced in 2008 but published by different publishers.The essay is based on Norman Faircloughs critical discourse theory which has been supplemented by Michael Billings theory Banal Nationalism, which assumes that it is the national words that remind us daily of our homeland that is producing and reproducing national identity.  The survey shows that both textbooks are closely tied to the government policy document for the teaching of history. The textbooks refer to the policy, both explicitly and implicitly. The two textbooks reproduce a common national identity in South Africa based on the discussions taking place in society.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how administrative officers at the Swedish social insurance agency experience and deal with the goal conflicts they may experience. Furthermore, the purpose is to gain a greater understanding on how they perceive their role in the implementation process, and their position as the link between the citizens and the state. Two potential conflicts are examined; between quantitative goals and performance measures and those more qualitative and hard to measure; between economic values such as cost efficiency and productivity and democratic values such as the rule of law. The other conflict examined is that between implementing and following the laws set forth, take into account the individual needs and interests of the citizen. The theoretical framework consists of Lundquist?s theory on public officers as the guardians of democracy, which means that they should not only implement laws and rules according to political intentions, but also make sure that the democratic values and principles are followed in the relationship between state and citizen.

What is the?self? and to become ?one-self?? To resolve this questions possibility I´ve been using the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard metaphysic paradoxes. This essay about the ?self? shows the reader the difference between describing a transcendent and immanent phenomenon and if it´s possible to become or to not become ourselves. The process is a key of the ?self? which Kierkegaard explains the ?self? in and for it-self.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate how a group of academic librarians perceive distance learners as a user group. We have in our study been influenced by phenomenography, which is both a set of theoretical assumptions and a methodology. The theoretical frame of reference consists of Carol Kuhlthaus different levels of education and Michael Buckland´s information barriers. Using a qualitative method consisting of nine interviews with academic librarians and structural factor such as academic library policies, we have been able to conduct our study. The results of the study are presented in grouped categories of quotations that reflect various perceptions.

Background: As Porter?s diamond (1990) suggested, the business environment highly influences firms? strategies. Yet, strategy researches and the growing importance of marketing for business success also show that customer dimension must be taken into consideration. This thesis is dealing with the programs of control regarding deceit and quality assurance within the Swedish social insurance administration in Skåne, the years 2002-2005. In 2005 the Swedish National Audit Office released a report regarding the lack of measures towards deceit and fraud, and the lack of quality in the data for decision making within the administration. The questions to be addressed are why the administration does not make up to the demands regarding quality and measures towards deceit that the government and The National Audit Office demands. The main source for data has been interviews with workers within the administration and annual reports from public authorities. To understand and be able to explain the problems within the administration the theory by Michael Lipsky regarding street-level bureaucrats is used.
