SAMMANFATTNING Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att utvärdera hjärtfrekvens och hjärtfrekvensvariabilitet som fysiologiska mått på mental stress hos häst. För att utvärdera detta har olika artiklar studerats. Artiklarna redovisar studier där hästar utsätts för framför allt mentala stressmoment. Under stressmomenten har antingen hjärtfrekvens (HR) eller hjärtfrekvens och hjärtfrekvensvariabilitet (HRV) registrerats. Hjärtfrekvensvariabiliteten kan omvandlas till ett antal parametrar, bland annat lågfrekvensband (LF) och högfrekvensband (HF).

Some children develop externalizing and internalizing behavior problems at an early age. Previous research has often treated these children as a homogeneous group, the purpose of this study is to show that this group of children is in fact heterogeneous. Data from theSOFIAstudy was used and preschool pedagogues were informants. The sample contained 2121 boys and girls between 3-5 years. Groups of children with the behavior problems and the risk factors AD/HD symptoms, fearlessness and callous-unemotional traits were created.

Introduktion: Stroke är en folksjukdom som årligen drabbar cirka 30.000 svenskar. Det primära symtomet är muskulär svaghet som kan innebära paralys/pares och 70-90% av de drabbade får nedsatt motorisk funktion. Mental träning innebär att för sitt inre visualisera en rörelse utan ett motoriskt genomförande. Metoden har visat sig ge neuroplastiska förändringar samt ökad EEG- aktivitet i hjärnan. Studier har visat att visualisering, observation och exekution av rörelser aktiverar samma motoriska områden i hjärnan.

Problem area of this Bachelor thesis is the mental illness of internationally adopted at the age of 16-26. Our study focuses on a compilation of previous results from positivistic researches in the first question formulation. In the second and third question formulations a narrative text analysis, through hermeneutically interpret risk and prevention factors, is carried out for the life of internationally adopted that can lead to mental health/illness and how they apprehend to be adoptees. The purpose is to get a comprehensive understanding at individual, group and society's view of their lives. Further intention is to interpret the material for possible approach angles on further research.

The purpose of this study was to examine interpersonal problems and its relationship to the working alliance in psychotherapy. To examine this, data was used from Umeå and Lund University psychology practice client database, which clients responded to by using the self-assessment scales Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scales and the Working Alliance Inventory. The sample consisted of 201 participants that answered the questionnaires both before and after psychotherapy. A second sample consisted of 93 clients who specifically sought help for interpersonal problems. Results showed that the level of interpersonal problems before and after psychotherapy changes.

The purpose of this study has been to describe and analyze how former foster children experienced foster care which have been filled with maltreatment and neglect and how this has influenced their adult life when it comes to health, education and relationships. We also wanted to study how the former foster children coped with their placement. Furthermore we wanted to study whether there has been any turningpoints during their growth. Finally we wanted to describe how the former foster children experienced the authorities control. To make the purpose of this study complete we chose to use qualitative interviews with six former foster children as our research method.

Background: There has been a process of de-institutionalisation and mental health care re-forms in Sweden. Social services are, according to the law, responsible for helping persons with mental illness to live a life like others and to participate in the community. The aim of the study was to describe the culture in one of the social services adult day care center for social relations and activities in Stockholm. The aim was also to focus on the importance of the adult day care center for recovery and empowerment from the participants´ perspective. Methods Observations in the adult day care center were combined with four interviews with regular participants.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka möjligheten till att ta kontroll över min nervositet och atteffektivisera min instudering av Intrada av Arthur Honegger.Bakgrunden är att jag alltid har varit intresserad av att lära mig nya saker och vad jag har velat meddetta arbete är att utveckla min kompetens som trumpetare och det har jag gjort genom mentalträning. Samtidigt som jag har utnyttjat mental träning för att bli mer mottaglig för inlärning så harjag tränat mig i att hantera nervositet. Allt detta har jag gjort för att bli en bättre trumpetare.Min metod har varit att jag läst litteratur om minnesträning, mental förberedelse och ens egeninställning till att utvecklas inom ett område. Jag har sedan använt mig av övningar som jag hittat iböckerna, antingen som de är eller så har jag ändrat på dem för att passa mig och mitt syfte bättre.Arbetets konstnärliga del presenterades i form av en inspelning där jag spelar Intrada utanackompanjemang och jag valde att göra inspelningen utan ackompanjatör för att visa på hur minvardagliga övningssituation såg ut. Det ger dessutom en väldigt naken bild av hur jag spelat och detär lätt för åhöraren att höra vad som har fungerat bra och vad som jag inte har lyckats med.

The study took place outside of Oskarshamn, Sweden. The study focused on if, and in that case how, Nymålen contributes to recovery from mental illness. We were also interested in which factors affecting the recovery-process, as expressed by the participants themselves.Method: Eight individuals from Nymålen participated in individually performed semi- structured interviews. The collected data was then coded and categorized to enable further analysis by using Qualitative content analysis inspired by Graneheim & Lundman (2003).

Arbetets syfte var att utreda reliabilitet och validitet för en blickregistreringsutrustning, JAZZ?, som finns på FOI i Linköping. Dessutom skulle utredningen klargöra huruvida utrustningen kan användas till att detektera mental arbetsbelastning. Tre olika studier gjordes på 17 försökspersoner. Endast sackader i horisontalled studerades, trots att utrustningen har ett flertal andra mätområden.

The purpose with this essay is to examine if the Swedish government?s intentions regarding to the mental health care reform, have been fulfilled. We have classified the intentions into three categories, regulation, financing and responsibility for organizing the policy. The intentions have then been compared with the results of the reform.Our theoretical framework starts with a model, developed by Evert Vedung (1998). We use this model as a tool to examine the fulfillment of the mental health care reform.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate on what basis a child is committed into care according to the law and to see on which grounds the decision about committed child care in law practice are taken when a child is committed to care due to parents who are mentally retarded. To better understand the juridical grounds for these decisions I will also in a short background describe the meaning of the term mentally retarded, how mental retardation and parenthood has changed over time and how different opinions are expressed in the law. Both people with mental retardation and children have in recent years gained their rights and sometimes these rights end up in conflict with one another. In those cases, what is in the best interest of the child, should be decisive. The children who have mentally retarded parents are at risk to not have their physical, psychological, emotional, social and intellectual needs met and are therefore being unfavourable developed.

Statistik visar att så mycket som 20 procent av alla trafikolyckor involverar någon form av förardistraktion. Samtidigt finns det ingenting som indikerar att sekundäruppgiftsutförande under bilkörning minskar. För att få ökad förståelse för förares beteende genomfördes detta examensarbete med syfte att studera förhållandet mellan upplevd mental belastning och faktisk påverkan på körprestationen vid utförande av sekundäruppgift under bilkörning. För att besvara syftet genomfördes en litteraturstudie. Analysen av inkluderade artiklar och deras respektive sekundäruppgifter baserades på Multiple Resource Theory.
