Within the literature and film sciences there are clear models of storytelling and methods of creating a good story. In the game industry it's more difficult because the games are often non-linear, and games are a less established Medium than the other two. With this study our purpose was to examine game developers and methods they used when creating a videogame, with focus on storytelling. Four interviews were made with representatives from four different videogame companies in Sweden. The information from the interviews was put in relation to theories regarding the structure of videogames and an established model for creating videogames.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka i vilken grad olika fysiska avvikelser kring en humanoids ögon/syn kan framkalla stötande känslor, de fysiska avvikelser som undersöks är: sjukdom, stympning och mutation. Studien byggde bland annat kring teorier kopplade till attraktivitet och hälsa och undersökte hur man kan använda ohälsa för att väcka stötande känslor.Inför studien skapades totalt åtta porträtt, en för varje fysisk avvikelse samt kön. En enkät skickades sedan ut till män och kvinnor i åldrarna 18-29 där de fick ta ställning till porträtten genom att gradera dem utifrån en 7-siffrig skala.Resultatet i undersökningen visade att majoriteten av respondenterna upplevde den fysiska avvikelse mutation som mest stötande, detta på grund av dess omänskliga utseende. Det fanns dock en problematik kring användningen av 3D modeller i undersökningen, framtida arbete skulle gynnas av att använda ett annat Medium, exempelvis fotografi..

This paper explores the accessibility for patrons with different physical disabilities in regards to materials, service, the library building and its website at two typical, Medium-sized public libraries in Sweden.The case study is based on interviews, observations, and document and literature studies. As a theoretical framework for this study, Buckland?s model of information barriers is used to describe, discuss and evaluate how the two libraries work with accessibility. In addition, international and national guidelines are used to measure whether additional actions are required of the libraries to improve the accessibility.The results show that both libraries are well suited in various respects to provide for the different needs and the requirements of patrons with physical disabilities. Some obstacles still exist in both libraries, especially in the lack of literature in accessible formats in different languages.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence underlying factors have in connection to the internationalization of Born Global firms. Methodology: This study has a qualitative approach in which data is obtained mainly through interviews and secondary data which consists previous theories about the internationalization in small and Medium sized firms and recent theories that entitle these firms as Born Global. Conclusion: Based on the existing theories and the qualitative data, we have concluded that the underlying factors for the Born Global firm?s internationalization are abilities and opportunities to create insidership in relevant networks. The most crucial underlying factors for Born Global firm?s internationalization are the ability to create processes to break old patterns of thoughts and the ability to ally with right partners. .

The purpose of this essay was to investigate socialworker's perception of threats and violence in their daily work from the perspective of power. In order to obtain as clear and distinct responses as possible, I used qualitative interviews for this study. The respondents represent a "socialförvaltning" that handles financial assistance in a Medium-sized city. This department was chosen because the socialworkers that handle financial assistance at this department have been identified by the media as particularly vulnerable. The study showed that verbal threats are commonplace but physical violence is rare.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att granska två podcaster, en med enbart män och en med enbart kvinnor. Genom en kritisk textanalys på C/O Hannah och Amanda, samt Alex och Sigges podcast, ser vi hur femininitet och maskulinitet manifesteras i respektive podcast. Parallellt med våra observationer i språket jämför vi med tidigare populärkulturell forskning på medier, samt forskning kring femininitet och maskulinitet. Vårt hopp med detta är att kunna se huruvida podcasten, som är hyllat som ett fritt Medium, är en plattform för nytänkande eller bakåtsträvande ideal. I vår analys visar vi bland annat hur programledarna använder sitt kön som ett uppträdande.

The focus of this thesis is on what is considered to be a suitable foster home. For the study to be carried out an application had to be made to get access to the foster home assessments in a Medium-sized municipality in Sweden. With the support of attachment theory and theory of standards different categories have been picked out and analyzed in foster home assessements that have been approved. The conclusion to what is considered to be a suitable foster home is a complex issue, as there are many factors that are interacting. Social workers seem to focus on the importance of a family?s ability to provide some kind of stability and security for a child who is considered to be placed within their home.

The purpose of this study has been to evaluate whether a Low temperature bio-mass dryer could be integrated with the local district heating system in Malå. The aim is to increase the thermal efficiency of the cogeneration plant in Malå, by lowering the temperature of the cooling Medium. Another benefit that comes from this is improved combustion efficiency at the power plant, since drying the fuel causes an Increase of the heating value.Simulations has been made in Excel, and with use of linear regression, to find out if it is profitable. Data for this purpose has been supplied by the power company Skellefteåkraft and furthermore SMHI.The result of the Calculations shows that a very efficient bio-mass dryer is needed, if yield of investments should be made possible. An Investment of 4,27 Mkr, in a dryer, could at a such criterium return 60000 kr/year, if the price of the biomass is 190kr/MWh.

Background: To wait on an emergency department is a reflected and well-documented problem. Thou it´s mainly due to a patient perspective should also nurses' perspectives be significant to obtain a faceted perception of the phenomenon.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses perceive the phenomenon of anticipation of a somatic emergency department.Method: The analysis was performed using a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in a Medium-sized hospital in southern Sweden, during the latter part of 2005, and had a qualitative approach based on a lifeworld perspective. Data collection consisted of written stories from twelve nurses.Results: The results indicated that the waiting was the scene of the expectations. These expectations led to dilemmas, powerlessness and frustration, the more the phenomenon was allowed to stand.

Digitala spel är ett interaktivt Medium. Engagemanget akten att spela kräver leder till känslan av immersion. Detta krav på interaktivitet har lett till undersökningar kring effekten av att spela digitala spel, på det etiska planet. Detta arbeta har gjorts för att analysera hur spelare med olika etiska spelarrepertoarer upplever etiska inslag i digitala spel. En undersökning gjordes genom att först skapa ett digitalt spel med etiska inslag och sedan låta respondenter spela det samt besvara några intervjufrågor.

Syftet med det här arbetet är att se hur dagens elektroniska spel påverkar elevernas språkutveckling, särskilt i modersmålet, men även att diskutera den engelska och svenska språkutvecklingen, eftersom de flesta spelen har sina instruktioner på engelska, och det svenska (danska för två av de undersökta eleverna) språket är som ett andra modersmål hos de flesta av invandrareleverna. Undersökningen genomfördes genom observation. Jag filmade sju elever i årskurserna 6 och 7 samt två elever från Danmark, som också är i årskurs 6 och 7. Jag intervjuade den första gruppen, samt deras lärare för att se hur deras språk utvecklades det senaste året i svenska och i engelska. Jag intervjuade också den danska gruppen. Resultatet visar att det engelska språket utvecklas mer än det svenska och det arabiska språket, men det är de arabiska och svenska talspråken som utvecklas mer än de skriftliga språken. Det visar också att spelen kan används för nöje, pedagogik och som ett socialt Medium. Slutsatsen är att elektronisktspel kan vara ett positivt medel för att utveckla språket, inte minst i engelska och svenska, men även i arabiskan som modersmålsspråk..

The purpose with my degree project is to investigate the use of computers within the daily activity in three preschools and one preschool class. I have designed a survey that I distributed to the staff. The purpose of my work is to investigate how a number of preschool teachers and children in a few preschools and one preschool class in a Medium-sized Swedish town are using the computer in their activities.My study shows that the computer is frequently used, both of the children and teachers, but also together. The children in my study are using the computer to play games, listen to music, and go into the websitewww.youtube.com, but also in order to write and count.  The teachers primarily use the computer to document, check their e-mail and listen to music.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to our knowledge about what methods? teachers say they use in the work with pupils? early reading acquisition, and how they evaluate the pupils´ reading development. I also like to find out what educational interventions teachers believe that pupils with reading difficulties need, and how they say they work to meet the needs of these pupils. The project is based on the following questions: What methods do teachers say they use in the work with pupils early reading acquisition? What extra resources do teachers consider that pupils with reading difficulties need? How do teachers evaluate children's reading development? In order to answer my questions, I've done qualitative interviews with three teachers, at two schools, in two Medium-sized municipalities.

Sammanfattning Detta examensarbete är tänkt att fungera som en förstudie med syftet att komma med tänkbara lösningar på hur räddningsutrustning ska kunna lastas i kabinen på en Boeing 737-800. Uppdragsgivaren är Scandinavian Airlines som har fått en förfrågan av MSB hur det skulle kunna se ut. Tanken är att det ska bli ett räddningsplan som ska komma till undsättning för människor i katastrofområden. MSB har begärt att två versioner ska finnas. En heavy- och en Medium-version, där skillnaden är antalet människor och mängden utrustning som medföljer.
