Syftet med denna undersökning är att få en förståelse kring hur unga kvinnliga studenter använder sig av det sociala mediet Instagram. Studien ämnar svara på vilka funktioner Instagram fyller för unga kvinnliga studenter samt vilken betydelse detta sociala Medium har i deras vardagliga liv.FRÅGESTÄLLNING: Syftet har specificerats i följande frågeställning: - Hur används Instagram av unga kvinnliga studenter?METOD OCH MATERIAL: Kvalitativa individuella intervjuer med fyra kvinnliga studenter i 23-års ålder.HUVUDRESULTAT : Studien visar på att en viktig funktion med Instagram är att interagera med andra människor och vara deltagande i den sociala gemenskapen på forumet. Det  ramkom även att tre av fyra kvinnliga studenter ser på forumet som ett verktyg för att kunna bygga ett personligt varumärke och att det är ett enkelt sätt att hålla sina nära och kära uppdaterade kring sitt vardagsliv.   .

Studien undersöker hur fysisk gestaltning i pedagogiskt drama formas under ett lärotillfälle i skolmiljö. Studien använder sig av ett socialsemiotiskt synsätt och en multimodal ansats för att undersöka eleven som utövare av fysisk gestaltning. Fysisk gestaltning betraktas som ett Medium och sammanhanget analyseras utifrån ett designteoretiskt perspektiv på lärande. Två grupper elever i 10 års-åldern har filmats och observerats. Resultaten visar att påverkan från regler i skolan, instruktioner och pedagogen beskriver elevernas formella design.

This thesis presents the implementation of a knowledge base system for rough sets [Paw92]within the logic programming framework. The combination of rough set theory with logic programming is a novel approach. The presented implementation serves as a prototype system for the ideas presented in [VDM03a, VDM03b]. This master thesis aims to examine the process of indexing fiction when it comes to area of sexuality and gender identity. The empiric work that forms the basis of the thesis are three investigations:(a) examining the current status of indexing fiction within the catalogues of six Swedish Medium-sized libraries;(b) interviewing librarians who allocate the subject headings; and(c) an analysis of the Swedish subject heading system Att indexera skönlitteratur.This will be concluded with an analysis of the gathered material through queer theoretic standpoint with the help of critical classification and its inclusion through separation, and marginalization where subjects that differs from the norm is included but only by being separated from the norm, or ignored totally. This will show that there are similarities with how different groups get treated within the classification systems and how they are treated in subject heading indexing. An example of this in Att indexera skönlitteratur is that heterosexuality never is mentioned in the subject heading but is always present as the silent norm, while gender identity is marginalized through exclusion of the subject heading, and related words are instead being included under sexual identity..

This study has as its purpose to reveal whether female and male entrepreneurs are offered the same kind of conditions in their role of entrepreneurs in their respective media representation. This is studied by analyzing portrayals in the magazine Entreprenör (Br.E. ?Entrepreneur?). Methodologically the analysis will be making use of textual analysis, semiotics and discourse analysis in order to expose the underlying gender perspective(s) in Entreprenör.The entrepreneur portrayals? texts and visuals will be studied in the light of gender and entrepreneur theory, and more specifically on the basis of theories about representation, discourse and stereotypes.The main conclusion of the study is that female and male entrepreneurs are not offered the same conditions in their roles of entrepreneurs in a Medium such as Entreprenör.

The focus of this thesis is on what is considered to be a suitable foster home. For the study to be carried out an application had to be made to get access to the foster home assessments in a Medium-sized municipality in Sweden. With the support of attachment theory and theory of standards different categories have been picked out and analyzed in foster home assessements that have been approved. The conclusion to what is considered to be a suitable foster home is a complex issue, as there are many factors that are interacting. Social workers seem to focus on the importance of a family?s ability to provide some kind of stability and security for a child who is considered to be placed within their home.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the experience of art students and their attitudes and use of information during the last years of their Master?s degree. I also examine their opinions about the art education in general. The theoretical framework encompasses a sociocultural approach within the field of psychology-pedagogy and library- as well as information science. The empirical material has been collected through qualitative interviews with seven students studying at an art school in Sweden.

As students of graphic design the craft of print is close to our hearts. One of the most essential Mediums of the evolution of printing techniques is the poster. In a world where digital Mediums are being utilized to a greater degree everyday, our love for the printed poster makes us wonder if the days of the poster are counted.What we did was to take a closer look at the role of the poster in promoting events. We focused on the Stockholm area and did qualitative interviews with three different event promoters. Live Nation which is an international live entertainment promoter, Dramaten which is one of Sweden?s most well respected theaters and Stockholm Live which is a stand up comedy promoter in Stockholm city.From doing this we learned that economics play an important part in defining the role of the poster.

Thou it´s mainly due to a patient perspective should also nurses' perspectives be significant to obtain a faceted perception of the phenomenon.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses perceive the phenomenon of anticipation of a somatic emergency department.Method: The analysis was performed using a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in a Medium-sized hospital in southern Sweden, during the latter part of 2005, and had a qualitative approach based on a lifeworld perspective. Data collection consisted of written stories from twelve nurses.Results: The results indicated that the waiting was the scene of the expectations. These expectations led to dilemmas, powerlessness and frustration, the more the phenomenon was allowed to stand.

Our thesis focus on how retirees perceive Tv4s news casts of economy news where we focused on five different aspects: What is the relationship between the news cast and the viewer and how does the viewer express their understanding of the news cast and the way it is constructed? What are the viewers attitude towards the news content and how do they find the news cast useful for them personally?We choosed retirees as our target group due to their vulnerable economic position in today?s society and TV as an important Medium for them due to the digital divide. The study was performed with twelve qualitative interviews and one group interview where six retirees took part.We discovered a big interest for economic news in the target group. The majority had a sympathetic view of the news cast they saw but they also expressed skepticism toward the economy segment and/or news castings. The majority expressed a lack of trust for the journalists and the experts brought in to share observations and make announcements, and the financial business overall.

Internet har tagit världen med storm och erbjuder nu otroligt många funktioner. Detta Medium har vuxit från att främst ha varit ett informationsMedium till att vara en handelsplats. Fler och fler företag förstår nu vikten av att marknadsföra sig via Internet. Utifrån temaparken Astrid Lindgrens Världs fall har vi därför undersökt vilka marknadsföringsmetoder Internet erbjuder. Vi har också analyserat huruvida dessa metoder är tillämpliga på temaparkens samtliga marknader.Teori i form av litteraturstudier av traditionella marknadsföringsmetoder och internetmarknadsföring samt Internets spridning i Sverige och Europa genomfördes.

Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera och lyfta fram ett antal riktlinjer för den visuella designen av animerad bild som används i utbildningssammanhang. Vi ämnar också att identifiera vilka stilelement inom animerad undervisningsfilm som står sig över tid och olika Medium. Att belysa de nya kvaliteter och möjligheter som framkommer i och med det digitala mediet. Vi kommer också att titta på hur målgrupp och mottagarkontext påverkar formens uttryck och innehåll.Vi har med en gemensam analysmodell gjort en kvalitativ analys av tre tidstypiska animerade undervisningsfilmer, Camouflage (1943), Den Vidunderliga Världshistorien (1993) och Gutten og Torsken (2007) som alla använder sig av humor som en förstärkning av lärandet.Genom analysen har vi kunnat identifiera stilelement så som användandet av stereotyper och metaforer, konstaterat hur innehåll och uttryck till stor del påverkats av målgrupp och mottagarkontext men även av gällande distribution och tekniska möjligheter..

This study aims to find out what relationship high school students have to social networks at the Internet. This has been done by focusing on norms/standards that adolescents can feel under stress to achieve, through stressing themselves by social networks in a way that is consistent with the norms. The empirical data has been gathered by questionnaires which have been answered by adolescents in randomly selected schools and classes in a Medium size Swedish town, Karlskrona. The result showed that all of the participating adolescents have user accounts on a social network. Furthermore it also emerged that a lot of the adolescents thought that norms existed that should be followed in a social network about how to stress oneself.
