Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.

The purpose of this project is to analyze earthing systems for houses. By practical measurements and theoretical analyzes consequences of possible faults, that can occur within the facility and in the low-voltage distribution network, is illustrated.  The reason for this project is that nowadays one has to arrange with a main equipotential bonding system for buildings. Apart from that, if necessary, bathrooms must be provided with a supplementary equipotential bonding system.The practical measurements verify that potential differences in facilities may be due to voltage drops in the PEN conductor between the origin of the electrical installation and the power transformer.Based on the theoretical analyzes of possible faults, it is considered that the requirement for  supplementary equipotential bonding systems for bathrooms in most cases can be questioned, when basic insulation, fault protection, residual current devise and main equipotential bonding system already provides an adequate level of protection.A PEN conductor loss may result in a situation where metallic parts attached to the equipotential bonding system starts working as earth electrodes. Equipotential bonding system may also increase the incidence of stray currents. If TN-C-S systems is provided with a local connection to earth a redundant system against PEN conductor loss is obtained.

Detta kandidatarbete undersöker spelares relationer till virtuella karaktärer i digitala spel. Detta innefattar huruvida människor kan etablera moraliskt sunda relationer till spelkaraktärer och i så fall hur. Syftet är att få bättre insikt i hur man kan använda karaktärer i digitala spel för att till exempel förstärka narrativt förbättra inlevelsen. Eller för att få bättre förståelse för hur man får spelkaraktärerna att fungera i sitt sammanhang. För att undersöka problemområdet har människors relationer till bland annat både levande och mekaniska husdjur belysts och analyserats så väl som olika världsuppfattningar och hur deras påverkan på vår förmåga att etablera relationer till virtuella karaktärer.

Stump wood is a hot alternative when the heating plants demands more and more forest fuel. The aim with the study has bean to calculate the costs in four different systems for transportations of stump wood, examine if there are any differences in fuel quality for the stump wood in the different systems, analyse if the fuel quality in stump wood is affected with the time it lays by the road side and how much space the stump wood demands on the road side. To calculate the costs for the different systems a system analysis was carried out, where some of the costs were collected through field studies on Holmen Skog stump experiment and other costs were collected from literature and contacts. Data for the fuel quality study was collected from Eons heat plant in Norrköping. Data for the study of how much space stump wood takes along a roadside was collected from field studies.

Frågan om de konfessionella friskolorna aktualiseras med jämna mellanrum i den svenska samhällsdebatten. Trots ämnets betydelse och aktualitet har forskningen ännu varit sporadisk och huvudsakligen inriktad på att skildra konfessionella friskolor som enskilda fenomen. Mot bakgrund av några teorier inom den allmänna religionspedagogiken studeras i den här uppsatsen de sex gymnasieskolor som idag (januari 2008) finns i Sverige och som har tillstånd från Skolverket att verka med en konfessionell inriktning. Metoden är kvalitativ och indelad i två mindre undersökningar. I den första beskrivs samtliga sex skolor med hjälp av ett källstudium.

An automatic milking (AM) system should be combined with some form of controlled cow traffic to minimize the time spend on fetching cows to milking and to increase the milking frequency. By restricting the hours spent on pasture per day you optimise the AM system use during pasture period. A reason for this is becuase cows do not return to the stable for milking during night which cause that the milking unit stands empty those hours. In organic production it is required that the cows should be able to graze a certain amount of daily dry matter (DM) intake on the pasture. In the county of Dalarna where the farm is located the yield of the pasture is about 3000 kg DM per grazing season and hectar.This means that the pasture area should be 14,25 hectare to 57 milking cows.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera vilka faktorer som påverkar bedömningen avom hästverksamhet ska beskattas som inkomst av tjänst eller som inkomst av näringsverksamhet. Med anledning av att rättspraxis i viss utsträckning är in casubetonad och saknar utförligare motiveringar är det emellertid omöjligt att täcka allatänkbara faktorer. Uppsatsen omfattar verksamheter med inriktning på ridsporthästar, d.v.s. ridsportverksamheter. Med begreppet ridsportverksamhet avserjag alla ridsportens grenar, såsom hoppning, dressyr, fälttävlan, körning och distansritt, och även andra hästrelaterade verksamheter som exempelvis ridutbildning, hästuppfödning, inackordering och hingsthållning.

To measure losses in a transformer with today?s methods is either slow or insecure. There s a new method developed by Alstom that hasn't been actualize in to a test-system and that has been the assignment in this project. The idea is built on a switched system and a CLR- circuit in the resonant frequency. The test-system has a calculated power-loss that make the efficiency to be as high as 99,8% and in reality over 95%.

I dagens digitala mediesamhälle är det väldigt enkelt för människor att producera och dela med sig av bilder genom internet utan att tänka på vad en bild faktiskt är. Denna uppsatsen är en studie som undersöker tanken och färgvalen i bildskapandet. Undersökningen bygger på om man kan använda sig av gamla färgteorier från 1800-talet i digitalt bildskapande idag under 2000-talet. Med hjälp av Johann Wolfgang von Goethes färglära som publicerades i början av 1800-talet och gavs ut i en svensk version 1976 har vi kunnat genomföra en produktion genom att implementera dessa teorier och ställa dem i relation till dagens digitala bildskapande. Slutsatsen blev att dessa teorier fortfarande är relevanta på så sätt att man kan ta hjälp av dem om man vill förmedla vissa känslor som majoriteten kan uppfatta i sina bilder.

It requires a well planned and well thought visual profile to succesfully stand out on the market. To give a good impression, this profile should be both distinct and aesthetically appealing. In the making of a new profile it requires creativity to succesfully think in new directions and to separate from the competition.This practical report presents the production process for a designsolution to the new website Röstförmedlingen (Voice agency), a commission from the production and commercial bureau Bartos media. The task in this project was to create a graphic profile and a lofi-prototype that would represent Röstförmedlingen as a buissness.

Tomo Hugglink (TOMO Skog) is an innovation for harvest and transport of biofuels. The system consists of a truck, a chipping unit and crane mounted on a link and a wood chip trailer. The system works in such a way that the chipping unit is disconnected and placed on the site and wood chips are loaded directly into the wood chip trailer.The aim of this study was:- To examine the performance of the TOMO Hugglink system under different conditions such as the size, placement and quality of the pile.- To calculate the cost per raw ton for two vehicle combinations at different transport distances and to examine the effect of a reduction in set-up time and an increase in load weight.- To identify possible improvements with the TOMO Hugglink system.A time study was conducted within the thesis work to make it possible to determine production and time consumption. In the subsequent economic analysis the cost per tone at different transport distances was calculated for two different lorry concepts. Furthermore the effect of a reduction in set-up time and an increase in load weight was calculated.Under current conditions the utilization of the chipper is low and only 29 % of the total system time is occupied by chipping.

Den här studien beskriver en konflikt kring en bergvärmetrend för bostadsrättsföreningar som uppstått i Uppsala under hösten 2010 och våren 2011. Konfliktens parter är å ena sidan bostadsrättsföreningar som valt att satsa på bergvärme för att i första hand minska sina uppvärmningskostnader från fjärrvärmen. Å andra sidan majoriteten i Uppsala kommuns miljö- och hälsoskyddsnämnd som är oroliga för trendens miljömässiga effekter, framförallt för elförsörjningen, och förespråkar fjärrvärme. Utifrån två teoretiska perspektiv har jag satt konflikten kring bergvärmetrenden i ett större historiskt och samhälleligt sammanhang. Jag har prövat möjligheten att se konflikten som en konflikt kring fjärrvärme som ett stort tekniskt system med referens till teknikhistorikern Thomas B. Hughes.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att se hur barns fysiska miljö på förskolan är utformad och om pedagogernas sätt att utforma miljön i en förskola utan särskild inriktning skiljer sig i jämförelse med en Reggio Emiliainspirerad förskola och en Waldorfinspirerad förskola. Anledningen till att vi har valt att göra en jämförelsestudie är för att ta reda på om det finns liknande tankar kring miljön eller om det finns skillnader beroende på vilken filosofi förskolan har influerats av. Genom att använda oss av observationer och intervjuer vill vi undersöka närmare hur pedagoger tänker kring utformandet av sin fysiska miljö. Vi tar vår utgångspunkt ur det läroplanen belyser om att förskolans miljö ska erbjuda barnen en miljö som är trygg, utmanande och som lockar till lek (Skolverket, 2010). Genom att använda oss av det sociokulturella perspektivet vill vi visa på att den har betydelse för hur miljön utformas.

This thesis aimed to study the interaction between an educational technology system and its users and give suggestions for design improvements. The technology system is called EDIT (Educational Development through Information Technology) and has been developed and applied at Linköping University?s Faculty of Health Science. EDIT supports Problem Based Learning and enables scenarios to be presented through the World Wide Web. The study was divided into two parts.
