Media a?r idag en stor del av va?rt samha?lle och har genom den teknologiska utvecklingen fa?tt en stor marknad och har kommit till att bli en stor del av va?r vardag. Hur vi pa?verkas av media och den sociala kontexten sker hela tiden, medvetet och omedvetet pa? olika sa?tt. Syftet i studien a?r att underso?ka gymnasielevers uppfattningar om hur media pa?verkar deras syn om ha?lsa och att vara ha?lsosam.Utifra?n en fenomenografisk ansats i metoden, som syftar till att hitta olika uppfattningar om ett fenomen, har eleverna i studien besvarat en skrivuppgift med o?ppna fra?gor da?r eleverna besvarat dessa med egna beskrivningar kring varje fra?ga.

Since a few years back television has been on a verge of an enormous digital change. Web-TV is now growing at an incredible rate and is said to completely change the way we consume TV. The purpose of this essay is to determine and gain an understanding of how representatives of the broadcast industry looks at the phenomenon of web-TV and especially the different kinds of online video services and how they believe this will affect the television. Methods used are qualitative interviews which we compared with previous studies on the subject and acknowledged communication theories. The respondents were people with good insight and understanding of the media and TV industry.

AbstractIT can facilitate communication among individuals and connect people across geographical distances. On the contrary, citizens of the society who do not use communication technologies to some extent might feel excluded from the information society. As elderly citizens are already in a vulnerable position for the digital divide, communication technology becomes an important tool for interacting with friends and family. The social situation of elderly, 60 years of age and older, is a topic of current interest since they are the fastest growing age group in the world today. Further, social interaction becomes more important among elderly since it has a positive effect on well- being.

This qualitative study examines how emergency people are framed in Swedish evening-, and local newspapers during the forest fire in Va?stmanland, Sweden 2014. The study also includes if there is any difference between the framing due to the location of the newspaper. The study is based on qualitative text analysis. The theoretical basis is representation, framing theory, media image, media logic and a few conceptions from crisis communication theory.

Analyze the cover images from the 2007 editions of the magazines Elles and Café, using semiotic analysis.? Analyzes eventual resemblances or differences between the two magazine's cover images based upon the result of the semiotic analysis.Material and methods: The study of Elles's and Café's cover pages has been done using a model built upon semiotic analysis, developed with the purpose of suiting observation and examination of cover pages of fashion magazines. The cover pages were analyzed from the categories character, context, and environment.Main results: The main results include the observation that both Elles and Café chooses well-known figures from women's fashion industry as prime characters on their covers. In Elles, all main characters are famous women emerging from the music, television and fashion industries. The women in Café are known for similar professions.

This study aims to investigate how a number of students who are at the end of a teachers? educations program in social studies, geography, religion and history interpret that the national curriculums states that every teacher is responsible for students language development and should be supportive of language backgrounds. In the light of the curriculums the study explores how the teacher education students feel that the education has prepared them for teaching children with Swedish as a second language. The study also examines how the teacher education students think that the teacher education could improve in matters like preparing future teachers to teach social studies, geography, religion and history to second language children.The study is based on interviews with seven university students and shows that they feel a responsibility to develop their future students? language.

Gränssnittsutveckling till Creative Media Concept
Hur ska ett användargränssnitt utformas för att det ska vara lätt att använda i stressade situationer? Hur skapas ett program som uttrycker professionalitet och samtidigt enkelhet? Dessa frågor och många fler uppkom vid starten av arbetet med gränssnittsdesignen till programmet CMC (Creative Media Concept).Huvudpoängen med CMC är att användaren på mindre än en minut ska kunna presentera t.ex. en företagspresentation. Eftersom CMC endast varit en idé i tankarna tills nu, så har målet med detta projekt varit att utveckla idén och skapa en gränssnittsprototyp åt företaget Cascade Creative Media i Luleå. För att uppnå detta så har en enkätundersökning och teoristudier utförts, detta har sedan legat till grund för de olika idéer som tagits fram.
Bland skurkar och hjältar : En analys av medias framställning av flyktingsmugglare.
I föreliggande uppsats har jag undersökt hur flyktingsmuggling framställs i media. Jag presenterar och analyserar flera olika skildringar av flyktingsmuggling, flyktingsmugglare och flyktingar.Uppsatsen är inspirerad av diskursanalys, och till grund för analysen ligger ett urval av tidningsartiklar hämtade ur svenska nyhetsmedier.Jag visar i uppsatsen på hur betydelserna av flyktingsmugglare och flyktingar förutsätter varandra, och hur skildringarna av vilka flyktingsmugglarna och deras motiv är, skiljer sig åt beroende på om det är myndigheter, flyktingsmugglare eller flyktingar som ges tolkningsföreträde. Vidare diskuterar jag hur bilden av de Andra kan utgöra en grund för dagens flyktingpolitik..

This study aimed to investigate whether there was a correlation between an individual?s selfesteem and search for confirmation on social media. The study also sought to answer whether there were differences in self-esteem and search for confirmation from a gender perspective. In this study social media was defined as Instagram. The choice was founded on the basis that Instagram in the current situation is one of the world's largest social media that allows users to share their everydaylife in pictures, which are commented and ?liked? by other users.

Introduktion: Sekretorisk media otit (SOM) är den vanligaste öronsjukdomen och uppkommer oftast i efterförloppet till akut media otit (AOM). Om barnet får SOM leder det till hörselnedsättning som kan påverka språklig utveckling och ge beteendeproblem. Etiologin bakom SOM anses vara multifaktoriell. Barnets tryck i mellanörat kan påverkas vid flaskmatning. Allergier, bakteriella/virus infektioner och inflammationer har också betydelse för utvecklandet av SOM.

The political landscape is constantly changing and influenced by outside forces. The strong
connection to the traditional media has evolved to include a new important part, social media.
A good way for the politics to utilize social media is through their youth associations, whose
main purpose is to engage young people and spark their interest in politics.
Due to the increasing influence of social media, the politicians, parties and various actors
have to adapt to its demands, to be able to gain visibility on these platforms. One way to
adapt is to become more entertainment driven, because these platforms are a safespace where
people find time to relax and have a good time. With a growing emphasis on simplified,
engaging and more fun political massages, political communication has changed its form.
This phenomenon is referred to as ?politainment? and encapsulates the merging of politics
and entertainment.
The purpose of this study is to examine and measure the frequency of politainment in
Swedish political youth associations political communications.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate what distinguishes the views of staff at centres for learning as regards users? motivation at centres for learning in public libraries. The following questions were asked:? How do staff at centres for learning view the users? motivation to studies?? How do staff at centres for learning view causes for lack of motivation and obstacles for motivation to studies?? What methods do staff at centres for learning use to motivate potential users to studies and to market the learning centres? ? What distinguishes these views of staff on users? motivation at centres for learning in public libraries?The methods used in this study are: literature studies, qualitative interviews and questionnaires. Interviews and questionnaires were done with six employees at six centres for learning.
Landet Kris : - en kvalitativ undersökning om hur Lettland framställs i svenska nyhetsmedier
The purpose of this study was to find out how swedish newspapers writes about Lettland during 2005-2009, who gets to speak in media, which key words being used, and if the news articles content changes over the years. As a basis for my discussion I?ve used Stuart Hall's theories for representation and language. In the same litterature, Hall presents theories for stereotypes and power from different researchers which I have studied for this study. I?ve also used Van Ginnekens theory about who may be heard in media.
