Syftet med föreliggande studie är att, genom intervjuer med tolv elever ur år fem, undersöka deras uppfattningar om matematik. För att studera detta har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod med inspiration av den fenomenografiska ansatsen. Utifrån studiens syfte och frågeställningar har tre temaområden framtagits inom vilka elevernas uppfattningar analyserats och därefter kategoriserats. Ur resultatet framkommer en relativt snäv syn på matematiken där läroboken är dominerande i elevernas uppfattningar. Boken fungerar som utgångspunkt både i definitionen av matematikämnet och vid beskrivningen av hur ämnet upplevs.

Currently, there are no clear statistics on how the floor plan and room size in apartment buildings has changed over time since the postwar period. The statistics available is average area per apartment which can be found on Statistics Sweden's website. This report has the aim to increase knowledge about how the Swedish home have changed over time.The questions that the report will answer are:For apartment buildings, how has the living area been distributed since the postwar period?Why has the area distribution changed over time?A survey of the houses built during 1950-2014 was made before questions could be answered. A case study was also made which a total of 90 apartments were analyzed and divided into three eras, the people´s home, the million programme and the neomodernism.

Fragmentation and reduction of forest area is a threat for many forest species and their habitat. Deficiencies in forest quality, such as lack of dead wood and old trees, are one explanation of the threat. The most important action to prevent the continued loss of forest types is to protect forest, but also to restore and to create areas that not previously had high nature values. Hence one of the key strategic roles for Fritid- och Naturkontoret, Uppsala municipality, is to monitor biodiversity in the context of urban planning. The majority of the Uppsala municipality residents live in urban areas and most of them spend some of their spare time in natural areas in cities and their immediate surroundings. Exploitation in and around Uppsala is high, but it is important that there is enough nature close to houses to meet the residents? needs of recreation.

Theft without break-ins has increased significantly in the last year of swimming, sports and leisure facilities in Karlskrona, more precisely 60%. Vandalism in the shape of graffiti is another common crime. The solutions are divided into social and situational crime prevention. Social crime prevention engage in actions that are based on social causes of crime rather than the opposite situational crime prevention, which instead assumes that discourage with the help of technical solutions and has as primary objective to hinder accessibility for example theft friendly goods. The main purpose of this work is to come up with solutions to prevent these crimes, while also being cost-effective and realistic to implement. The work is important in that it creates safety awareness and promotes a healthy safety culture. Moreover, the future goal is to lower these statistics. The goal of the work is in addition to developing our knowledge of crime subject, was also to provide help and solutions for our clients.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om projektledning av projekt som tar stöd av agila systemutvecklingsmetoder. Från början skapades de agila metoderna, av utvecklarna själva, som ett svar på de traditionella metodernas rigiditet och, i deras mening, övertro på en dokumenterad process. Ordet ?agil? betyder lättrörlig och kärnan i de agila metoderna är att göra utvecklingen mer flexibel och lättare att manövrera. Det finns andra värderingar som är grundläggande i agil systemutveckling som påverkar projektledaren och dennes arbete för ett agilt projekt.

Utveckling av programvarukomponenter görs för att möjliggöra återanvändning av gemensam funktionalitet i applikationer och därigenom minska organisationers utvecklingskostnader. För att komponenter ska kunna vara möjliga att återanvända så krävs det att de är utvecklade med viss anpassningsbarhet ? generalitet ? och på så sätt kan komponenten vara funktionell i kontexter. Dock kan det ta mångdubbelt mer tid i anspråk i jämförelse med att skräddarsy en komponent för en viss applikation, då det ställs höga krav på bland annat planeringsarbetet. Om utvecklingen av programvarukomponenter ska vara lönsam måste man försäkra sig om att komponenten kommer att användas till den grad att den längre utvecklingstiden är befogad.

Rubriken till detta arbete kommer från Matematikdelegationens betänkande, ?Att lyfta matematiken?. Utbildningsdepartementet fick i uppdrag att ta fram en handlingsplan som skulle syfta till att förändra synen på matematik och öka intresset för matematikämnet hos Sveriges elever. I betänkandet presenteras fyra huvudmål för matematiksatsningen: 1. Stöd och utveckla aktiviteter som ökar intresset för och insikterna om matematikens värde, roll och betydelse i vardag, yrkesliv, vetenskap och samhälle.

The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

Historiskt sett har det hört till ovanligheterna att man anlagt ett användarperspektiv vid systemutveckling. Trots att det finns mycket att vinna på att arbeta användarcentrerat ägnas inte användbarheten någon nämnvärd uppmärksamhet, utan fokus inom systemutvecklingen ligger fortfarande på tekniken. Kostnaden för dåligt användarstöd är mycket stor både beträffande arbetsskador och låg effektivitet hos datoranvändarna. För att förstå varför inte utvecklingen av användbara system kommit längre måste man beakta den process som ligger till grund för utvecklande av nya system. Denna uppsats undersöker vilka hinder det finns för att arbeta användarcentrerat sett ur användbarhetsexperternas perspektiv.

AbstractThe Energy Declaration is a law that will come into effect October 1: Th 2006. This report has Värnamo municipality as principal and shall clarify what the estate owner in general and Värnamo municipality in particular need to know about this law. Another part that is going to be dealt with is how large the future need for energy experts in this field will be, and which competence that will be demanded for them.The work will in general deal with simplified energy declarations for apartment houses and public buildings, since these buildings are the first to be involved with energy declarations.The energy declaration will consist of a number of important components.? Energy power i.e. how much energy the building consume? If the ventilation control is done? If the radon measurement is carried out? Recommendations of measures to improve the energy power? Reference value to compare the buildings energy power againstAccording to the law the declaration shall been made by an independent expert, which will need certain information for this.

Forskning har visat att elevers intresse för matematik avtar ju äldre de blir. En av orsakerna till detta kan vara den traditionella matematiken som till stor del består av symboler och tekniker för att hitta rätt svar. För att få engagerade elever som intresserar sig för matematik måste undervisningen förändras. I min uppsats vill jag därför lyfta fram författare och lärare som intresserar sig för den matematiska utvecklingen..

An increasing number of health problems in the population and an uneven distribution of health between different groups in the society, have been identified as a problems and has therefore been put on the political agenda in Sweden. Thus, the purpose of this thesis is to estimate and discuss the significance an individual?s behaviour, in a number of areas, has on his/her level of health.The empirical material for this thesis is taken from a nationwide inquiry conducted in 2004,which was called ?Hälsa på lika villkor?? (Health on equal terms?) The material used consists of the answers and records from individuals living in the administrative district of Kronoberg. 9972 individuals were included in the sample and the answering frequency was 63,2%. To map and analyse the material, which was done mainly through crosstabs, chi-square tests and logistic regressions, the statistics software SPSS 11.5 was used.The parameter used to measure the health level is the individual?s own perception of his or her general health.

Acid sulphate soils is a wide spread problem along the northern coast of Sweden. This is causing great damage through low pH and leaching of metals out into the streams. These soils are estimated to be found in several places in Sweden but also in many other areas in the world. One of these areas in Sweden that are believed to contain these sediments is Mälardalen. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extension of the acid sulphate soils in this area.

Syftet med den här studien var att se vilka uppfattningar lärare har om att eleverna i en klass befinner sig på olika kunskapsnivåer kopplat till matematik. Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare som arbetar i årskurs 6. Litteraturen tydliggör vikten av att alla elever får möjligheter att utvecklas utifrån sina egna förutsättningar och behov. Hur undervisningen läggs upp och hur grupperna ser ut varierar, men dialogen mellan lärare och elev samt en varierande pedagogik är två betydelsefulla inslag som lyfts fram. Resultatet visar att lärarna ser stora fördelar med att ha elever som är på en jämn kunskapsnivå, men de vänder också skillnaderna till något positivt och utnyttjar det i undervisningen.

What affects Hiv in South Africa's different provinces? This thesis examines if education, unemployment rate, GDP per capita, and the literacy rate has any relationship with the Hiv prevalence. This is analyzed using theory and data in the form of a simple microeconomic model and an econometric regression analysis based on cross sectional data of the provinces of South Africa. The regression analysis shows that unemployment rate and education have significant effects of the Hiv prevalence in South Africa. The microeconomic model in the thesis indicates that when education is higher, individuals are more aware that the probability of being infected by Hiv is higher when the Hiv prevalence is high.
